one last thing before I go, here are the two smartest, best business infants on the planet. They recently fell out of a black hole at the same time!

the wouldnt kick heath out of the ufc if he losses would they??… i mean he probably is a gate keeper but he is still a top hw in the division and he could beat alot of hw’s in the ufc… atm they shouldnt be dropping any hw that is good or even average they need to build the hw division not get rid of it

If either Cain or Herring are decent enough underdogs….I will bet on the dog. I am a big fan of Cain, but Herring is no slouch. Herring may have enough experience to pull this fight out of his ass. if the odds are close, I will probably pick Cain to win a decision! I do think that herring will probably get the better of the stand up, but I doubt he will be able to defend Cain’s takedowns.
Should be an amazing fight.

by the way matt, I picked the most obscure comment section to post it, hence no comments about Jenna Jameson!

Does Cain come in around 240 lbs? He did not look like a big HW standing next to that douche.

If Herring loses this, his last 2 losses will be to guys whose combined record, at the time of Herring fighting them will be 6-1. I think Herring would be better off at Strikeforce, or Affliction. I would say DREAM, but I can’t think of any HW that competes with DREAM. Do they even have a HW division? But Herring at Strikeforce we could see him vs Alistair, Werdum, Grim Rogers, and maybe AA. Affliction we could see him vs Timmy, Barnett, Yvel, and whoever else they got.

I’ve got Herring in this one. Cain will use his wresting to get Herring down and then Herring will expose his ground game with a submission. Herring all the way.

Heath is a very strong, very game fighter. If Brock couldn’t put him away, I don’t see Cain finishing him. I do think Cain will win the UD by staying active and taking the fight to him. I see this being similar to the Brock/Herring fight only a little less dominating.

both these guys should have been in the movie, “never surrender”

What was Brock going to put him away with? his smothering? Granted, Brock did look impressive in the Herring fight, but Cain is much much more technical in the all around game including the striking and kickboxing than what Brock is. I put money that cain can beat Brock. Cain just does not have the name value that brock has……yet. I gaurantee you Cain will beat Herring, will then expose Carwin and will beat Brock and become the new Champion by the early parts of Next year!

you assume that Brock will get by Mir! I don’t count Mir out of this yet. I do think Cain is the real deal, I just don’t think he’ll finish Herring. I think Carwin is the real deal too so I’m really looking forward to the eventual Carwin/Cain fight.

h…and damn Cain looked liek he was about to go off on the interviewer in the beginning! just by the way he was mean muggin him!

Herring will dominate this fool.
Herring by UD.

I am really, really looking forward to this fight. I am not sure who the “upset” would be…

Cain has a bright future but the texas crazy horse is no joke and if he gets past him he’s opponets are only going to get tougher. I don’t think Cain can beat mir, randy, brock, carwin, gonzaga or kongo yet. we’ll see with time though.
by TRIKZ on Apr 15, 2009 1:44 PM EDT reply actions
Herring will be a great measuring stick like you stated his loses come to the hands of the best. If Cain can beat Herring I would like to see him and Carwin go at it?

Think they can teach Cain personality over at AKA? He couldn’t be more monotone if he tried.
by Zack on Apr 15, 2009 1:52 PM EDT reply actions
I do not think they will cut Herring even if he loses. His last two losses were to Brock and Nog (and he beat Kongo in between). He is a great gate-keeper with a ton of experience (and he’s only 29!). He has fought Fedor, Nog, and Cro Cop – if a new guy can hang with him he’s probably ready for some top notch competition. I think he would leave before they cut him.

I agree a fight between Dos Santos and Cain would be great. I hope the UFC put’s that one together. These two fighters make the HW division much more intresting.

Cain will be exposed in this fight. He isn’t big enough to compete with the monsters.
by Dan Quinn on Apr 15, 2009 3:18 PM EDT reply actions
I think Cain’s a monster and there’s always a serra factor in these things, so I think he’ll do just fine.
I hear he’s going to be at the Montreal HMV on Ste Chatherines st on Friday, so I’m going to check it out.
Then I’m going to the big match Saturday Night!!!
