I just saw your response on the Tito Thread. I like the guy, but I can see how someone would think wanting to fight Shammy is lame. I don’t even think it’s all that crazy that some people don’t like the guy.
What I do find crazy is downplaying his skills. First off when I said he has great power in his forearms and elbows from mount, that was mistake. I meant to say from within his opponent’s guard. That’s what I think is so cool about Tito’s style. If you can finish people from within the guard, you don’t have to be able to pass or worry very much about being submitted for that matter. I think it’s simple and extremely effective. I also think it would still work against most LHWs. I forget what you said about his performance against Forrest, Lyoto, and Rashad, but when were simply talking about his skills, I think this is a trump card. I think Tito needs to work on improving his takedowns b/c his competition has definitely improved their takedown defense, but I definitely count him as a top 10.

Gutted that Gono has been cut, I have been waiting for a while for the UFC to put him on the main card so I could see his entrance. Now I guess I have to stick to old Pride videos of him. I know 1-2 isn’t a great record but surely they could have cut a more boring, underachieving fighter than Gono. Hopefully he’ll end up in Dream and carry on entertaining all of us.

D. White luvs his job and luvs putting himself out there. He is what he is, and he doesn’t hide it. White lets us decide if he’s the good or bad guy in most controversial situations. White is being like most people would be behind the scenes, he’s just showing us were as others don’t!! I write a lot of stuff that bashes D. White, however, he’s good for the sport, my only problem is hes not progressing fast enough with some fighters pay and contract rights, but I can also understand that’s just business.
