IMo, the lock of the NIght is Banha Cane! Im betting a few hundered bucks on him against Cantwell! Banha will not lose this fight! i am certain about it! Banha will be my biggest bet at this event!
I am going to bet Shogun. If his cardio is fixed, shogun has about 4 times the mma tools as chuck does, giving Shogun many more ways to finish a fight. Not to many chances to bet on Shogun as an underdog…him at +150 against anyone is too good for me to pass up.
I will bet some money on Kongo as well. I like Hardonk, but there arent going to be too many HW’s that will be able to outstrike Kongo.
I am also going to bet some money on underdogs:
Leites
Professor X
Wiman
Bilekheden
Keep in mind, that who I bet on, isnt always the same as who I think will win. I bet according to odds. For example: I dont think Leites will win, but at +350, I think betting on him as great value.
Bocek is great at ju jitsu, but tHe scandenavian Lion trains his jits in Brazil, and I think he should be able to nullify bocek’s one dimensional jits assault!
Professor X has value. I love Kang, but mental mistakes tend to cost him. I think if Kang makes a mistake, professor X will capitalize on it and win the fight.
I like Stout, but he isnt improving at the rate that wiman is!
I also like Ed herman in this fight. HIs back is against the wall, and I see him being able to take the crow down at will….and the Crow has never been that good off of his back, and I question the Crow’s mental toughness!

i agree with you on cane and shogun… i will be betting on them and expect both of them to win especially cane… i’ve watched his fights in the ufc numerous times and he just doesnt seem to have an weakness that cantwell can exploit
so the majority of my betting money is going on cane and rua…..
the only underdog i will be betting on is wiman… how can you not he is so unpredictable that every time he is an underdog i’ll bet on him
i was also thinking on betting on hardonk but i’ve got a feeling that if kongo is getting beat in the stand up he is just going to take him down and try to LnP him for three rounds so i will not be taking that risk

Didn’t really notice until now but it looks a nice looking card, stacked all the way down with possible great fights.

Wiman and Leites definitely look the best to bet on. I think Chuck is back and will make a climb to the top again so as good as Shogun looks at +150, I cant go against my instinct.

Leites a good bet? Maybe at +1000
I put a small parlay in a few weeks ago for this event. (Silva/Chuck/Kongo).
I also have money on Cane.
The more I think about it, I am liking Herman and J-Mac more and more.

This card is nicely stacked. A lot of good “middle-of-the-pack” fighters.
IMO, Leites hasnt done enough to deserve this fight. I would put him against Okami to fight Silva. Everyone knows Marquardt beat him. Herb Dean took an extra point from Marquardt when he shouldnt have. I still think Marquardt is #2 at MW.
Stout/Wiman should be an exciting fight. Potential fight of the night.
Got floor seats to this event, can’t wait!

HWs that can outstrike Kongo – Hardonk. Hardonk is gonna smash Kongo standing before Kongo starts shooting for TDs. Kongo is good but Hardonk trains at Vos with hoost and others. J-Mac is as good a lock as Cane.
also john – David can only beat up people he can outgrapple to get top position and Bocek is one a different league. I don’t see the value there. I can see your other points but the david tip will wreck your parlay IMO.

I may have to listen to you on this one NNR. I under rate Bocek’s skills in every one of his fights and then he always surprises me. He needs to get a personality or no one will ever notice him!

Very true, even on the mic he’s so quiet.

get your money on Shogun while you can!! knocking Chuck’s head off i hope..
by newfie on Apr 14, 2009 9:55 AM EDT reply actions
Somehow I dont see that happening. Although I do see Chuck knockin Shoguns head off.
True, Chuck is on the decline, but he’s still very dangerous. Lets compare:
Chuck:
-Hard hitter (KO power in both hands), great take-down defence (when was the last time you saw Chuck on the ground??).
-Lost to Rashad (was winning until he got caught).
-has been working on his defence.
Shogun:
-Well-rounded. Won’t be able to keep Chuck on the ground and can’t exchange blows with Chuck.
-Dangerous kicks.
-Last fight: Pathetic! against an old Coleman.
-Was recovering from 2 knee surgeries.
Oh well, we’ll see…

Putting some money down on Hardonk.
Kongo is overrated.

if a fighter is + 150 if you bet a 100 on them you stand to win 150 if a fighter is – 200 you have to bet 200 to win a hundred profit the bigger the spread between the 2 numbers the larger of an underdog the fighter in the positive is the fights with both in the negative the line makers see as unpredictable and dont give out favorable lines on them

If I was a betting man, I would put a pile on Stann in this one.
Krzysztof Soszynski -155
Brian Stann +115
Krysztof has not showed me anything I thought he would be. Stann while unexperienced has a very heavy hand, and I think it will land on Krzysztof’s head and nighty night. Cantwell beat him, but he would also kill Kryzysztof.
