by mikeybear on Apr 6, 2009 3:46 PM EDT up reply actions
yep noticed that too.
I grew up on wrestling so i had to order it. AND i admit i actually enjoyed it, was entertaining! (bring the hate, lol)
WEC was very good, as always. Exciting fights!
Shamrock by domination!
time to shut Diaz the F*ck up!
Also, does Frank still have braces? i cudnt tell last night.
by SoCalStunNa on Apr 6, 2009 4:22 PM EDT up reply actions
thats how I noticed it was him!! lol, I can’t say I enjoyed it, some matches way too long. I was just glad the feed never froze so I didn’t have to buy it!
by kevin on Apr 6, 2009 4:37 PM EDT up reply actions

Why has Strikeforce not found an opponent for Melendez yet?
by RealDrew on Apr 6, 2009 2:23 PM EDT up reply actions
“Outside of the main event, this is not a competitive card. With Thomson off, four out of five fights are designed with a clear winner in mind, and it would be a shock for one of them to lose. They want Cyborg to win to build a Gina fight, Melendez to win to build an eventual Thomson fight, Smith to win to get him back into the pack of middleweight contenders, and Rogers to win to build a potential Kimbo fight. And they probably want Frank to win so they can do a Cung Le rematch or a Tito Ortiz fight on CBS.”
.
this is courtesy of bloody elbow. The dude is such a douche. Cyborg/gina is inevitable, but who is actually looking forward to it besides guys jacking off to the thought of Gina?
Melendez didn’t train to have an opponent injured, it was shit luck!
Smith a MW contender…only in striikeforce.
Kimbo/Grim isn’t even a fight (unless they pay Grim to keep it standing). He’s too smart, he’ll take it down, nail the coffin shut on Kimbo’s coffin and move on.
The only accurate assessment is Frank looking for a rematch (that no one wants to see) with le. Le should be begging for Anderson Silva rather than wanting to make movies and fight once a year. After his mma carreer is over, his movie carreer will die too, and at 36 years old, he’d better start building a name!
Tito/Frank rematch…best case scenario!
Just my 2 cents!

Lol at the main event being competitive. Might look it but it’s really not – probly might get good value on shammy if the lines come out like i expect. Especially with how soft diaz’s mid section is looking right now. Also the Le hype needs to stop – you guys are “hardcore” fans you should know better. Everything else you said though is on point.

That has to be the goofiest set of photos i have ever seen.
“Ok Frank and Nick, can you just look as stupid as possible while i take some photos?”

Maybe he thinks it’ll help him from getting his arm broken again…

It looks like Frank is training for a kickball tournament.
I think I could take better pictures with my phone.

He stole the ball from the local maternity hospital…

Haha! You summed it up right there! But man, Frank looks really ripped while Nick looks a little flabby, but that’s compared to Frank though…Bah, whatever!

Frank looks ripped and I got him by 2nd round overpowering. RNC or gnp.

I heard that right before Nick laid into that bag he flipped it off….ya know??
by McArthur on Apr 6, 2009 2:23 PM EDT reply actions
ya know! where’s stinky been? he’s gotta be in town and I need someone to go to the weigh ins with. I’m actually skipping this event because I just got box seats to wed. red sox/A’s game
by kevin on Apr 6, 2009 2:27 PM EDT up reply actions
lol, yeah but I’m from boston and got 6th row behind their dugout, not to mention they only come to oakland once this year!
by kevin on Apr 6, 2009 3:19 PM EDT up reply actions
Boston does not suck! As a life long BOSOX fan I stand by that statement. They have won more games than any other franchise in the past 5 years, have won two world series titles, and played in the ALCS 4 times since 2003. Yeah they suck dont they.

It would be really sweet if this one goes to the ground. Diaz has the hand speed standing, but Frank has the power. Though I am not impressed with either of their standup. Lets see some jitz here.
by Cut the Blue Wire on Apr 6, 2009 2:26 PM EDT reply actions
Nick looks like a 10 year grumpy fat kid in that top pic…lol.
by --utaptout-- on Apr 6, 2009 2:36 PM EDT reply actions
my parlay bet: Nick walks in to a Bob Marley song, Nick pulls out some Honey BBQ chips from his shorts and munches them before the staredown, Nick wins by rear Naked Choke Round 3
by dbugz on Apr 6, 2009 2:42 PM EDT reply actions
Your first two picks are solid… the third one might be questionable.
by James S on Apr 6, 2009 5:23 PM EDT up reply actions
i think diaz is going to pull this one off. he has semi good hands and i think he has the edge on the ground. everybody keeps saying that shamrock is going to over power diaz but diaz has to be a pretty strong guy as well ! i dont think it will be shamrock for a one sided fight like everyone is saying.
by Winner by Strikes!! on Apr 6, 2009 2:45 PM EDT reply actions
Completely agree. Nick will tower over him. He is the younger hungrer fighter. Nick will dominate him.
by Benny on Apr 6, 2009 3:00 PM EDT up reply actions
The problem is that Nick can fight at lightweight. He weighed in at 159.5 for the Thomas Denny fight. He looks bigger but Frank is a big and powerful guy. Diaz has a shot to win this but better come with a great game plan. Nick doesn’t have kicks like Le does. This is the only fight on the card I am even remotely excited in though.

No I’m older than 15 so I don’t watch that fake ass shit anymore, don’t worry you’ll grow up one day!!! lol :-)
by Dragon on Apr 6, 2009 3:18 PM EDT up reply actions
wow, 2 witty comments in one day! I was bored out of my mind, but the things you’ll do for a 7 year old when he begs you. sad thing is, I got through the first 80 min of wec in the time it took the undertaker to win his match…that’s how boring it was!
by kevin on Apr 6, 2009 3:34 PM EDT up reply actions
haha…the undertaker is still a wrestler?? Holy shit!! Those guys go forever!
by McArthur on Apr 6, 2009 4:29 PM EDT up reply actions
I know, I was thinking the same thing! Funniest thing was roddy piper, ricky steamboat and jimmy snuka fighting too. I was trying not to chuckle in front of my son!
by kevin on Apr 6, 2009 4:31 PM EDT up reply actions
if u had the chance to wrestle big bucks in the main event of wrestlemania would u, or u would u rahter spend ur weekends sitting behind ur p.c making sacastic comments and using a make believe animal as user name

by shitleTOT.com on Apr 6, 2009 2:53 PM EDT reply actions
those are some really dumb pictures. LOL
i am one of those people who thinks frank will just overpower diaz. diaz does have better ground skills though, imo. gotta love those diaz brothers and their ground skills!
by B_Hos on Apr 6, 2009 2:56 PM EDT reply actions
Shammy’s washed up and not to mention he has stupid gameplans (standing up with cung le…?) he’ll probably try to roll with Diaz and get subbed.
by Brand0 on Apr 6, 2009 3:05 PM EDT reply actions
Shamrock is going to kill him – damn i hate nick!
by Randy For Couture on Apr 6, 2009 3:08 PM EDT reply actions
I got shamrock by Decision. This fight won’t hit the ground.
by rydinlow on Apr 6, 2009 3:12 PM EDT reply actions
man i gota pick diaz on this one. i think gomi hits harder than shamrock, and diaz beat gomi both on the ground and standing..my prediction 3rd round tko for diaz, hes just gunna pick frank apart.
by Year of Nick Diaz on Apr 6, 2009 4:14 PM EDT reply actions
Gomi a lightweight hits harder than Shamrock a real middleweight? I think your on something.
by halljam2 on Apr 6, 2009 5:20 PM EDT up reply actions
LOL Diaz pulled a sub out to win the Gomi fight. Im a huge Diaz fan but Gomi, was droppin bombs on Diaz. You should actualy watch the fight before you comment about it.
by lokie on Apr 6, 2009 5:35 PM EDT up reply actions
im sorry, but for some reason, i thinks those are some stupid ass photos. i jsut dont know why.
by Adam on Apr 6, 2009 4:18 PM EDT reply actions
I think frank is going to knock Nick out. He has been training with sparing partnes with long reach. And ther going to look to snake punches and do counter attacks right down the pipe. “INSIDE INFO”
by EIGH8T on Apr 6, 2009 5:20 PM EDT reply actions
Nick is still quicker than Frank and if he can avoid that big overhand right, he’ll pick him apart on the feet. And if Frank is dumb enough to go to the ground with Nick, he’s done for sure. Nick’s BJJ is some of the best in the game.
by Brand0 on Apr 6, 2009 7:38 PM EDT up reply actions
