Michael Bisping 'too quick' and 'too fast' for Dan Henderson at UFC 100

Props: Telegraph.co.uk

Quoteworthy:

"Spending so much time around him has given me confidence. Obviously I grew up in MMA watching Dan Henderson fight and he was a hero for me. I watched him win two belts in two weight divisions [in Pride FC]. I am looking forward to the fight and I'm going in really confident that he is going to lose ... in fact I know he is going to lose. I am going to win every minute of every round for the whole fight. I am going to be too quick for him, too fast. His striking is no where near my level. All I've got to watch out for is a big right hand and the clinch. As long as I avoid that I think it's my fight to lose."

The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 3 light heavyweight winner, Michael Bisping, keeps up the confidence as his showdown with Dan Henderson at UFC 100 on July 11 draws closer. "The Count" has been talking a good game to promote the middlweight showdown, saying previously that Henderson is "nowhere near his level." In this interview, Bisping once again takes a shot at another top contender, Demian Maia, calling him a "one-trick" pony who he would "stuff like a Christmas Turkey" is the two ever met inside the Octagon. The winner of the match up between Bisping and Henderson, as well as Maia, are the front runners to challenge for the 185-pound title next. The next few months should be very interesting for the suddenly crowded middleweight class.

I’ll be in the minority, but I agree. Even if Dan takes him down, Bisping has a knack for getting back to his feet quickly! His striking, while not powerful, is crisp and accurate. He like to throw knees in the clinch and has a full gas tank even in round 3. I got Bisping…it may not be pretty, and will almost 100% be a decision, but at least we will have a decent victim for Silva!
On the Silva mix, I could picture him vacating the MW title and moving to LHW, especially with a push from the UFC. Then take Cote or Marquart to go against Bisping for the vacant strap. This way the English poster boy has a real chance! Just a thought!

I agree too.
Henderson is a machine but I think Bisping is going to be too much for him.

too much for him? this is the guy that went 5 rounds with rampage for crying out loud… i know its fun to call the upset and all, but henderson is clearly the favorite here and should win

I’m going to have to agree with you guys. Bisbing was getting out struck by Matt Hamill and Hendo is a way better striker. Plus he got taken down by Rashad and Henderson is a better wrestler. I think Bisbing will score with some solid combinations, but Hendo will land the big shots that win rounds and score points with takedowns if he’s in trouble. And Henderson did fine against Franklin who is one of the top strikers at 185. Though there is a little grain of doubt in my mind because this isn’t Michael Bisbing the 205er, this is Michael Bisbing the Middle weight. And he has looked outstanding since making the cut to 85. I got Hendo, but I’m giving Bisbing a shot.

Hendo SUCS COCK AS a striker! Lets be honest….Winging WILD punches packed with TONS of KO power dontr make you a good striker….it makes yo a good BRAWLER….Did you see what Bsisping did last time he fought a Brawler (Leben)? He Piucked him apart!

I Totally agree with Kevin! Bisping has quitely become one of my favorite fighters in the sport. I think he hasnt even reached half his potential yet. Bisping is finally catchingy his stride and will look better and better with each fight. Age has caught up to Hendo….SIMPLE as that!

War Bisping….U guys say its fun to pick an upset, but lets be realistic….I am being realistic! I already Bet $100 on bisping as a HUGE DOG!!!!

War the Count! Great fighters and one of the best personalities in the UFC!

FYI: I finally got to see the episode of TUF…Thos British Kats look like they aren’t messing around!

Kevin: U know I am a RUA Lover, but its hard to argue that they arent the most dissapointing family in mma this past year! Shogun will snap out of it when he makes Liddell Tap!

I agree Bisping is a tough cat at 185, but Dan WILL TAKE HIM DOWN if he has to…..No one can stop Dan Henderson from taking you down, and hes never been KO’d.

I’ll take Hendo by KO or decision

Ya i have to agree- i don’t really like bisping but his backpeddling style will frustrate Henderson, That Team Quest just doesn’t have any good fighters who are winning anymore, henderson(recent victory only) matt lindland(almost died at afflication) and then their sokadju( plan and simple SUCKS) im sure their’s more i just can’t think of any

oh there is buddy randy couture left to create extreme couture a few years back and they have been on the down ever since. another person on the down is josh burkman while ryan healy, ryan schulz and nate quarry are looking shaky. but others are still getting better. you shouldnt forget that dan henderson is nearly 39 years old lindland is also nearly 39. sokoudjou only looked good becuase he caught lil nog and then arona who is primarily a grappler couldnt take him down. but when taken down or striking with a good striker sokoudjou is in trouble. he was a flare up like houston alexander. nothing more.

its too bad UFC ruined what could have been a solid fighter by just tossin him to the wolves. instead of working his way up with evolving skills.

by Jesse on Apr 6, 2009 9:35 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Leben got frustrated because his fall back skill has always been his left hand. Hendo will just bully him into the cage and smash his hands into his face for 3 rounds. Hell he did it to rampage so should be much easier here.

by Punch You in the Ovaries on Apr 5, 2009 12:19 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

I said previously that I do not have any problem picking Bisping, not because I am from the UK, but because apart from the Rampage fight which did impress me, I have not seen anything for Bisping to be worried about. And Henderson getting a win over Franklin didn’t mean much to me because the Franklin who fought Evan Tanner and David Loiseau is long gone. I really do not consider Franklin to be the same fighter he used to be after Silva took him apart, and the Lutter and Hammil fights did not do much to change that. Should be a good fight either way, and definately not as one sided as people miight beleive.

by Ade on Apr 6, 2009 5:02 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Eh Kev,well I am going to have to respectfully disagree Hendo’s wrestling is by far one of the greatest in MW IMO I think he will control Bisping and keep him down on his back and open the good ol’ Ground N Pound clinic to that cocky brit!

Also in the Silva scenario I see Silva defending it maybe 2 more times then retiring.

by NM on Apr 5, 2009 3:26 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Howdy kevin, how goes things? I, much to my dismay and misfortune, haven’t caught a fight in what seems like months. so I would just have to predict based on fights of old. Going by that….Bisping’s only chance is to not engage whatsoever with Henderson….he must keep with his gameplan for decent opponents which consists of hit and run away, hit and run away. But personal feelings aside, this fight will be entirely what Henderson makes of it. By that I mean, while Bisping normally has a successful panicky scramble, Dan should be able to hold him where he wants him (being an ex Olympian and all that jazz). Bisping’s other major chance? If the Dan that showed up against Silva (first round looked great, second round….he gave up. No other way to put it.) shows up against Bisping, then Bisping will have a chance…and I will turn off the tv.

just as a side note. I could be wrong but i believe Anderson trains with and is friends with Lyoto machida and because of that will not be persueing the LHW title but instead leaving that division for Machida to conquor. the two fighters dont ever wish to fight each other

Sounds like Bisping plans to pepper BFT Hendo with jabs for 15 minutes and get the decision. I suppose that’s better and more entertaining than a wrestler openly admitting to the dry-hump LnP tactic, but damnit go in to finish the fight and win convincingly.

by PW on Apr 5, 2009 11:10 AM EDT reply actions   0 recs

Bisping does jab alot, but he also has a solid game plan, utilizes knees in the clinch relentlessly and is always in shape. just pointing out the other aspects of his game. I do agree it probably won’t be a decisive win or very pretty fight!

by kevin on Apr 5, 2009 11:18 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

He cant finish him!!!!! Bizbing has no KO power whatsoever. His only tactic is to run away and pitter patter knowing full well Dana will see that he gets the decision.

As for his comments regarding Maia, LMAO, Maia would tie him in knots in a matter of seconds!

by attakdog on Apr 5, 2009 11:27 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

but henderson is a slugger and anyone who knows anyting about fighting knows that you box a slugger. its not chicken shit, it is a solid technique. flashy fights are for the fans, winning is for the fighters. and i would rather watch a good boxing match rather than 2 guys dryhumping for 15 minutes anyday

by Egads on Apr 5, 2009 12:08 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

If you wanna watch a “good boxing match”, watch a Boxing match, you wont find good boxing in MMA. There’s nothing more boring than watching one man run away from the other for 15 minutes. Remember it’s fans who pay their wages so are entitled to want to see “flashy fights”.

It’s hell of an advantage Bizbing has though, knowing all he has to do is runaway and get to the end bell knowing the boss has his back and will see he gets the decision. For evidence see Hammill fight!

by attakdog on Apr 5, 2009 12:57 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

i will watch whatever i want to watch.im a fan that helps pay for thier wages so am entitled to want to watch one in mma as well. you too are entitled to tune in or not as well. i also enjoy watching a good jits fight as well. and there is something more boring than what you say. guida and those that fight like him. if i want to watch 2 half naked men rolling on the floor together without at least some submission or gnp there are plenty of websites to visit for that. and dana white has no more power to control the outcome than you or i so keep the conspiracy theories out of here.

by Egads on Apr 5, 2009 1:51 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Hendo’s not a great slugger either, he’s just fn stubborn. When he does it right though he uses it very well to close the distance for clinch takedowns, which is what he needs to do here.

by NameNotRequired on Apr 5, 2009 2:07 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

great point egads, dream last night was the perfect show, lots of slugging lots of jits! I’m a huge jits guy!!

by kevin on Apr 5, 2009 3:38 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

i just hate getting told that if you like the standup the best you are not a true mma fan but if you prefer the jits, and some even only jits, then thats ok. i love a good mix the best. the condit/kamoman fight was one of the best fights in long time because it had it all. my whole point at first was to say that bisping chosing a countering/boxing style against henderson who is primarily a slugger/wrestler is a good strategy. and personally i have niothing against it. like it or not getting wins whether its pretty or not is the way to win belts and make lotsa money.

by Egads on Apr 5, 2009 6:30 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

The thing I hate the most is when people boo a fight and think it’s boring just because they expect a brawl and don’t consider a highly competitive and technical stand-up fight exciting or flashy.

It gives the sport a bad rep and only appeals to the meat-head losers who should be watching bum fights online or something.

by Jesse on Apr 6, 2009 9:59 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Bisping has had plenty of TKO wins and not too many outright knockouts, but how many times have his opponents actually been knocked out in there careers. There are not too many fighters who can knockout Leban and I did you not remember the punishment Schafer was taking in there match that guy is extremely tough, you only have to look at the solid amount of power shots Houston gave him to see that. We have also seen that Hamill also has a solid chin as well.
You are slating him for having no power without considering the fact that his opponets chins are extremely solid. If they had a history of being knocked out and he wasn’t able to do it, then that would be fair enough, but if it’s a matter of them having solid chins and not having been knocked out before, that doesn’t mean that he can’t punch

Wow, attakdog I have just noticed, all you do is slag of Bisping, all through this thread, you have abslutely major hate for this guy. You say your from England so am I. What is the real reason for your hate, did he pick on you at school, did he steal your girlfriend off you or is it because he didn’t give have time to give you his autograph, maybe he just beat you up once. Be honest now.

by Ade on Apr 7, 2009 3:09 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

I’ve answered this in a previous post, but here goes again, I hate Bizbing because he’s an arrogant prick who hasn’t beaten anyone in the top 25 of any division and is protected from on high because he won the weakest series to date of the Ultimate fighter!

I’d love to see Bizbing try and beat me up, it’d likely be the first KO of his pathetic career at least. He’d probably end up running away and inviting me to chase him if I showed the tiniest sign of aggression though.

by attakdog on Apr 7, 2009 7:43 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

I think you are mistaking confidence for arrogance. He is always respectful, and doesn’t bad mouth other fighters. The only fight that Bisping seemed to be a bit cautious in was when he was fighting Leban. And that was the best tactic possible against a fighter with a granite Jaw. Only a fighter with an idiotic gameplan would want to stand up and bang to please the crowd fighting Leban. Did you not see the shots that Leban took against Sakara, Terry Martin and even Patrick Cote couldn’t knock Leban out. Why on earth would Bisping want to waste his time standing up trading blows with Leban just so you can be entertained and get himself KTFO. That was the smartest and most logical way to fight someone like Leban. You make it sound like he fights this way in every fight. Get yourself a girlfriend or boyfriend if you are that way inclined, to release some of that pent up agrresion you have against Bisping. It will do you the world of good.
Your not Ross Pointon by any chance are you?

by Ade on Apr 7, 2009 4:50 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Hmmmmmmmm, Leben’s chin didn’t look so great when Anderson Silva KO’d him in under a minute!!!

Everyone’s on here saying what a fantastic striker this idiot Bizbing is, well if you’re such an amazing striker you should be able to put away a top 30 ranked guy like Leben in under 15 minutes just like Silva did, granite jaw or not.

As for his run away and pitter patter tactics he used against Leben, he will employ those exact same tactics against Henderson, everyone with a shred of MMA knowledge knows this. He wont want to go near Hendersons big right or his Olympic level wrestling. Hence he will get on his bike doing laps of the octagon until the time has elapsed, knowing his old buddy Dana will see him alright via the judges scorecards! Great news for the watching fans.

Resorting to personal insults about my sexuality is the last refuge of a scoundrel and proves you’ve lost the argument. I have no idea who Ross Pointon is either.

To solve this contender circus let´s put it this way.

Nate The Great – Okami vs Winner of Bisping – Henderson.

The Winner Gets Anderson.

Maia?

by attakdog on Apr 5, 2009 11:32 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

And leave the title sitting idle for another 10 months?

by PW on Apr 5, 2009 11:41 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

The No1 contender match should be made as soon as possible between Maia and Marquadt. Either one of those would be a worthwhile opponent. Nate is much better now than when he last fought. Maia’s an easy sell, the UFCs greatest striker vs the greatest submission guy, that could result in Anderson pulling some PPV numbers for once.

As for an Okami match, just pointless, Silva would destroy him in under a round. The match only has any kind of significance due to Okami holding a DQ win over him therefore Silva could avenge a loss but it’s not much interest for the rest of us.

The next man to get the shot will likely be Bizbing though. When Dana gives him the decision over Hendo at 100 then he can milk the UK crowds at the end of this year by selling out the o2 with his british cash cow.

by attakdog on Apr 5, 2009 11:52 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

by NM on Apr 5, 2009 3:28 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

What contender circus?

did I miss a memo or something…

The UFC have stated that the winner of Hendo/Bisping will get the next shot at silva, Dana said it, Bisping confirmed that was his understanding and so did Hendo.

The winner of this fight WILL be the UFC’s MW No.1 Contender…period

We (the fans) are the only people discussing it.

Nate is great (see what I did there) and Maia has phenominal potential.

But face it the decision has been made

by Confused on Apr 5, 2009 3:36 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Bisping has never said the winner of him and Hendo will get a title shot, maybe number one contender.

Okami was set to face Silva at 90 but broke his hand so Cote stepped in,then at the post fight conference Dana said Okami will face the winner of Silva vs. Leites!!

First off I think Henderson is going to win, his first fight at 185 against Silva he had bad endurance, Franklin is a great fighter and Henderson controlled almost the entire fight and has shown his cardio is much better and should have no problem bringing Bisping down for some ground and pound. Second I think & Marquardt & Maia should have a fight for the next shot at the title? Anyway I’m glad this division has much more talent add Wandy to the mix and possibly Hughes.

by Beaver on Apr 5, 2009 1:39 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Matt Hughes would get destroyed if he moved up now. Wrong time to move up. If he was going to do it at all he should have done it a good while back.

For his sake I hope he fights Serra and then calls it a day. Or maybe fights BJ again after that and then call it quits. There’s far too many guys at WW now that would beat him for him to ever be competitive again. I don’t think he can beat GSP, Alves, Fitch, Koscheck, Kampmann, Swick and others.

He’s done a lot in the sport and he should be happy to take a step back now.

As long as Hughes beats Serra I think he should move up. He has had trouble with his endurance when cutting weight and for his style endurance is huge. But with saying that I don’t think he’ll have the strength needed for his style at 185 but he is still a good fighter and should be able to crack the top five or at least seven?

by Beaver on Apr 5, 2009 2:53 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

You might be right another Shamrock? But until he loses to a fighter that is not in the top four or five I’m not going to go that far. A loss to Serra and I’ll be leaning more towards your view attakdog.

Excuse me? Since when has Matt Hughes had trouble with his endurance when cutting weight? Wait, no, you’re right, I suppose 13 wins in the UFC welterweight division isn’t quite enough to prove that you belong there.

i had hammil winning that fight too, and since you brought him up i remeber thinking hammil vs badder would be a good match for both of them, since they are very simular, but it would be a snooze fest. i dislike BISPING (just for you sarah) greatly so i am a little bias. i also saw rashad as the clear winner in that fight, but didn’t the judges score it a split decision.

I dont get why everyone hates Bisbing, ok so maybe Hammil should have got the desicion but its done with so get over it. He looked better against Rashad than most have lately and at middleweight he has looked good too. He knocked Leben bout for three rounds and hardly had a mark on him. So maybe he doesnt have one punch KO power but hell he finnished his other two fights at middleweight anyway. Hendo is gonna be a big test but i still think he cud win it, and i hope he does.

Knocked Leben about???. You must have seen a different fight from me. What a borefest, I was there zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. Bizping did his usual combination of the 100m sprint followed by a couple of powder puff punches, he couldn’t have done any damage to Leben if he was swinging an Anvil.

Im calling Bisping as well. He is such a smart fighter. He just told everyone his game plan (twice) and it is exactly what I have thought from the beginning. I like Henderson alot, but I think that he will be unable to get past Bispings quickness and agility.

by enzo-enormous on Apr 5, 2009 12:11 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

i cannot stand bisping………..man i hope dan wins!

by Brian "Ken, on roids....NO WAY!" on Apr 5, 2009 12:21 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

Bisping, the only dan is going to win is by taking him down and keeping him there which very few people have been able to do,they both have solid chins, and only henderson has shown any real knockout power,so ether way im really looking forward tothis fight but its gotta be bisping by decision,or maybe he will surprise us all by submitting him?

by Irish on Apr 5, 2009 12:33 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

I have to agree. Bisping is far more accurate and clinical. His striking is better than Dan’s and even with Dan’s super wrestling, he won’t be able to keep Bisping down for too long. I see this going much like the Leben fight. Dan will come out looking for a KO while Bisping will be elusive and do much more damage. Bisping by Unanimous Decision.

by Flyingknees on Apr 5, 2009 12:40 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

While i dont think Bisping is absolute top draw his fights always seem quite fun to me.
As for Henderson – yes his Pride fights were good but the bores against Rampage and Rich Franklin were terrible!

by David on Apr 5, 2009 12:43 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

the rampage/henderson was boring? are you kidding me?

by chris on Apr 5, 2009 1:00 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

What’s everyone smokin? He’s fighting Dan Henderson! I do think Bisping is good. I thought he was good long ago when nobody gave him credit. But c’mon, just look at the experience he’s facing. Dan’s seen it all. It’s gonna be Hendo for sure.

by Stryker on Apr 5, 2009 12:53 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

I know what you’re saying and 2 years ago I would have agreed for sure but now I’ve got Bisping in this one.

I think people are factoring in the age quite heavily. Dan’s definitely getting on a bit. With the fights spread out a bit and perhaps having a bad training camp he could easily seemingly age overnight so to speak. It also seems that Team Quest are on a downward curve whereas Mike is unquestionably getting better. They just seem to be going in different directions at the moment so it seems a very close matchup right now.

Dan did roll back the years against Rich though which was great as I had money on him.

by RobH86 on Apr 5, 2009 2:27 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

there is a difference between talking to interviewers and walking the line against henderson.

agility? speed? anderson silva and franklin are two fighters i can think of that both blow bisping out of the water yet henderson was able to handle both fine in the stand up department. good luck bisping, you’ll need it.

by chris on Apr 5, 2009 12:58 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

WAR HENDO!! hell win a strong ud

but hendos conditioning seems to only last a round or two so he almost always loses teh last round and plus he hasnt finished anyone in forever so thats my only concern

by Jared on Apr 5, 2009 1:00 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

Bisping will be to fast, and to accurate. This fight is going to be just like the Leban fight and Bispings gameplan will work perfectly. Henderson might land a few but nothing serious while Bisping with just be bouncing in and out and mess Hendos face up, just like Lebans.

Bisping by UD.

by UK_Chris on Apr 5, 2009 1:09 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

While I hope Dan wins, I agree that Bisping has the tools to win the decision and find it probable. As far as his comments regarding Maia, what a joke. “One trick pony”? That is exactly what Bisping was fed to try and build him up to expand the UFC’s business as the face of the UK. Elvis Sinosic nearly finished him with a sub. Charles McCarthy almost subbed him. Eric Schaefer….almost subbed him. Those guys are not on the level of Maia and almost nearly submitted him. Maia will have him tapping if they ever fight.

by PJJ on Apr 5, 2009 1:18 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

So true

by attakdog on Apr 5, 2009 1:27 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Dan Henderson is better than any of those guy’s you listed PJJ. Bisping is kind of like Chuck at 185 with out the real KO power, I think Dan has more tools he’s not near as a good boxer but he has the KO punch, and on the ground he has more tools than Bisping. Peaple under estimate Franklin because he can’t beat Silva but Franklin is still a great fighter, and I think he’s better than Bisping? I hope to see a Henderson Silva 2.

by Beaver on Apr 5, 2009 1:50 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Nearly submitted him? None of those guys nearly submitted him. Bisping remained calm in every instance and never came close to being in any danger. He escaped all 3! If he escaped all 3 without looking in any danger, then obviously he was never ‘nearly submitted’.

And what the hell does nearly submitted even mean? You either are, or your not. And only the two fighters at the time know truely how close it was. Hes never has been submitted in his career. Those guys you mentioned are all blackbelts. Yes, there are different levels of ability, but Bisping is more than capable of getting out of tricky spots, as he has shown.

Maia is def a very serious contender, but hes not unbeatable. Only takes one good shot. And we havent seen anything of standup from Maia. If the fight remains on the feet, then a KO or TKO is very probable. So saying that anyone, Bisping or not, doesnt stand a chance is just stupid.

by UK_Chris on Apr 5, 2009 2:04 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

You’re right it does only take “one shot” Unfortunately for Bizping he needs 50+ unaswered shots to end a fight because he has NO KO POWER!!!!

by attakdog on Apr 5, 2009 2:24 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

McCarthy nearly subbing him!! You must be joking. I only recall Schafer’s RNC attempt being anywhere near to threatening as he had Mike’s back.

by RobH86 on Apr 5, 2009 2:30 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

“almost” “if” “nearly” Bisping retired 2 of them and dominated all 3 to bloddy broken bones mess! Leben face was one of the worst ive seen in the UFC! eyes cut and bleeding nose broke and bleeding he looked like death! he collapsed back stage and got taken to hospital and was in the best shape of his life on steroids. Bisping done well as its hadr to ko Leben! Its hard to ko Hendeo to so don’t blame Mike for the same same tactic. He has more chance of ko’ing Silva then Henderson. a Decision win for Bisping and the yanks will give him abuse for “running”

by Tony on Apr 5, 2009 1:27 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

Most of you guys in the US dislike Bisping for the wrong reasons, you hate him because he is English and beat Hamill. End of the day, judges decisions are final and if you leave it to the judges, its your own fault much like Condit vs Kampmann. Anyways, I feel that Bisping will win this fight with his more clinical striking, but dont get me wrong Henderson has the ability to beat Bisping with some strong takedowns and clinches, and of course one punch KO power. What i would love to see is Bisping pull out a KO just to show his power, because im sure he has the ability.

by Dale G on Apr 5, 2009 1:51 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

I’m English and I hate Bizping because he’s an arrogant prick who hasn’t beaten anyone in the top 25 of any division and is protected from on high because he won the weakest series to date of the Ultimate fighter!

by attakdog on Apr 5, 2009 2:27 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Well that’s true about winning the weakest TUF. You can only beat what’s put in front of you though and he walked through the 3 fights in fairness.

by RobH86 on Apr 5, 2009 2:31 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

I like Bisping. All his fights are interesting and he’s fun to watch. I don’t think he’s overrated at all. I don’t know why so many people hate on him. Good to see a lot of people here are thinking he might win. I like Henderson just as much so this fight should be awesome.

by Johnny Farnham on Apr 5, 2009 8:31 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

I mean seriously, are people really arguing that bisping is too good of a striker for Hendo? Spare me, the guy has been in the cage with guys who are 10 times the striker that bisping will ever be. Dan is going to embarass him and finally give him an a$$ wooping he can’t run away from.

by TapOutNow on Apr 5, 2009 8:03 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Ur wrong man! People dislike him because he’s arrogant! It is such a shitty quality of character to have that disgust’s people. I for sure hope he gets DESTROYED and HUMBLED!

i dont have anything against bisping, i do feel that he is given better treatment the he probably should. i think theres other ppl who deserve some of his opportunities more than he does. hes a good fighter but hes still got room for improvement.

by Jesse on Apr 7, 2009 5:11 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

The Bisping will rule and beat Hendo, then your little Silva will have to endure the Bisping heat or whom ever has the belt. The Bisping is next champ, all the nay sayers just have to open their minds and just say “Bisping”

by bigmcmac on Apr 5, 2009 2:48 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

Bisping…..I said it but still feel Henderson is going win not that Bisping isn’t a good fighter I think Dan is better at this point and time. We haven’t seen Bisping KO power and if he has it I believe to win this fight he will have to show it. Either way should be a most exciting Bisping fight?

should be “the” most

Not too sure about this one. The Count will need to fight from a distance, but if he can he just might win. Should be a great fight and a close on at that.

“All I’ve got to watch out for is a big right hand and the clinch. As long as I avoid that I think it’s my fight to lose."

WTF IS HE TALKING ABOUT…WAS THIS A MISPRINT?? First he says no matter what Hendersons going to lose. Then he says that he has to avoid the right and the clinch and if he does then he will lose. So should he not avoid that?????

by STUNNALATOR on Apr 5, 2009 6:48 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

Bisping by the judges.

by OgniTinoc on Apr 5, 2009 7:00 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

Yeah, I agree. He’s technical enough to keep Hendo at bay. Hendo, of course, has the KO possibility though.

I dont see you getting in the ring

by Spiderman on May 31, 2009 8:31 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

I’m not so sure Bisping’s jab is going to keep Henderson from the clinch. Guess we’re going to find out. Both are great fighters and both could win. I can’t wait!

by ShitleTot.com on Apr 6, 2009 4:12 AM EDT reply actions   0 recs

i don’t think the jabs will work on Henderson like they did with Bispings last opponents, Henderson will find away to get inside and make Bisping fight in the clinch and on the ground were the more experienced Henderson will win the battle. I have not seen Henderson KO someone in the UFC I think he’s due for one this fight.

by Puck Head on Apr 6, 2009 8:26 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

What a great fight this is going to be!!!! Its embarrassing how some of you bad mouth the fighters on here I dont see you getting in that ring!!! henderson is a great fighter and at 39 what an athlete, bisping is just fantastic love the banter and self confidence and he is a mean fighter and I hope he does the business but it will be a tough fight. We all know both these fighters are not in the class of Silva but if Bisping gets the chance to fight him at least he has the balls to get in that ring and give it a go just like henderson did

by Spiderman on May 31, 2009 8:28 AM EDT reply actions   0 recs

Bisping is a guy thats fun to hate as he is much more impressed with himself than he should be. But I have to admit he’s a damn good fighter as his record indicates. I would , however be quite surprised should he pull off the win against Henderson. But I keep thinking back to the Evans fight and realize it could be done. Than I think about the Hamil fight and say "NO WAY ". With so many UK fans and so many USA haters, it proves to be a good matchup for the sake of entertainment which is what the UFC is all about.. Win or lose, there will be as many pissed off fans as happy ones. My pick, Henderson by decision. Unless the big overhand right connects resulting in Henderson by TKO round two.
