Am I trippin out or somthing?? or is the sound on this sound fucked up?

Condit was robbed. It should not even be debatable. The striking was his, the damage inflicted was his.
Granted, Kampmann won the third round, but one and two were certainly Condit’s.
The judges give far too much credit for takedowns.

You know, I wasn’t that offended by the decision cause it was a close fight and I had s small play on Kampman. After viewing it again, I would have to say that I probably would have scored it the same as good ole Cecil P. Condit landed the most damaging strikes of the fight all in the 1st round and I think it’s easy to exaggerate the danger he was in from Martin’s sub attempts. I the pivotal round is obviously the 2nd. I think Carlos edged it out it too but he didn’t win it in anything near a definitive fashion. Actually , this case illustrates the need to score more close rounds EVEN. Is it just me or do you think it takes more courage to judge a round even than to speculatively pick a winner? I think it’s chiefly our egos (particularly of judges) that tells us that we know, with a high level of certainty, which fighter won and which fighter lost an extremely close round. I may thought carlos edged out the 2nd because I like his style a little more. In other words it’s arrogant to assume our brains are capabal of processing that much data and render a prompt and correct decision. Alright I’m trippin. But seriously, if given the option of choosing Kamp, Condit, or Even for round 2 doesn’t Even seem like the most accurate??? Maybe they just need to print EVEN in larger type on the score cards. Ya never know.

Yeah, I hear ya, but also taking into account who got the better out of the exchanges, I would say Condit.
But as I said below (for some reason your post didn’t come up until now) I think in cases when it is this close, a draw is much better than an arbitrary decision.
People, however, always want closure. And a draw ain’t closure.

Good posts guys…I would love to see fights ruled a draw, and if that happens, go to sudden death! Thats how u get a clear cut winner!

Yeah, good point. Sudden death or something close to it, That’s a good idea.

I think it was close. Kampmann had a few sub attempts that were very close to finishing the fight.

Other than the sub attempts and the takedowns he didn’t do much else in comparison to what Condit did. Yes it was close but Condit was totally robbed.
In cases like this a draw is better than a wry decision.

I may never look forward to thursday more than i do friday but MMA Live at least puts thurs on the map.
I hope Miguel doesn’t take offense at going 0-4 for PFP best fighter from the MMa live crew. I cant wait to see the lines on Bodog. Miguel will probably be -1000 or higher. ANybody have any insight on Curren v. Benavidez??? I’m thinkin Frogman gets the W.

I thought Condit won that fight and so did my buddies but like Condit said, you can’t let it go to the judges

Yeah, but the judges should be more damned accurate. One day down the line the judging criteria will change or be more refined, but that is a long way away.

Kampmann won…the takedowns, control, GNP. It was close, but to say someone was robbed in such a close match is dumb. That’s just my opinion, but I totally thought Kampmann deserved the nod.
Am I the only one who thinks Franklin O’neal sounds like ‘The Ladies Man’?

Saying Condit was robbed is no more dumb than saying Kampmann won. It’s basically saying the same thing but from an opposite view.
