The official weigh-in event for UFC Fight Night 18: "Condit vs Kampmann" took place today (March 31) from the Sommet Center in Nashville, Tennessee.
It was an interesting event to say the least -- two fighters in the same fight, Jeremy Stephens and Gleison Tibau, both missed their marks and two other fighters set to do battle, Ryan Jensen and Steve Steinbeiss, didn't weigh in at all until after the lights came down.
Stephens and Tibau have apparently agreed to fight at a catchweight of 158 pounds.
Here are the complete UFC Fight Night 18 weigh in results:

185 lbs.: Ricardo Almeida (185.5) vs. Matt Horwich (185)
170 lbs.: Brock Larson (171) vs. Jesse Sanders (171)
185 lbs.: Tim Credeur (186) vs. Nick Catone (186)
185 lbs.: Nissen Osterneck (186) vs. Jorge Rivera (185)
185 lbs.: Rob Kimmons (184) vs. Joe Vedepo (184)

Note: Fighters are allowed to weigh one pound more than the division limit in non-title fights.

I heard that they agreed on a 158 lb catchweight match…but I am not so sure how legit that intel is. Keep in mind, that Tibau is a huge LW who took this fight on short notice!

doesn’t change the fact that they lose here money, and some lucky person gets some free cash

NO! If its true that they agreed on a 158 lb catch weight, then neither will have to forfeit any of their purse money!

John, I know that you are a fan of Gleison as well. How do you feel about his matchup with Stephens, especially after both missing weight. ALSO, how much notice did Glieson have?
As an FYI, the odds to this fight are not on BetUs, but I got some action on him on BoDog yesterday when he popped up at -160. Odds are still up and he’s now -170. On a completely even playing field, I LOVE Gleison to win this one, but I don’t know of this weight issue will be an issue, positive or negative, for either fighter.

I would not have expected Condit to look like he has a size advantage!

Kampmann really looks trim and tight, a wee bit smaller than Condit. But come fight time, I know Kampmann would gain a couple o’ extra lbs.

Is it supposed to say “now” scheduled to be contested at 158 or is it not being fought?

I am glad you cleared that up.

If that was a main card bout it should be moved. Stephens and Tibau is the fight I’m talking about.

Jeez, Tibau is half a pound over. Guess he figured there’s no point in cutting it if Stephens’ fat ass can’t get rid of his extra weight. I’m sick of douches not making weight.
Wonder what the excuses will be this time. Move up to 170 if you can’t get it off. And try getting some of it off prior to the day before the fight.

Agreed,I is so fustrating to see them not cut it is a part of their job!!
I hope that pay is being cut from their purses!!

Didnt Tibau take the fight on short notice? I agree that you should not miss weight tho
by ehoglund on Mar 31, 2009 7:02 PM EDT up reply actions 0 recs
He did, but luckily for him the half pound didn’t matter since Stephens was THREE pounds over lol

Tibau is reall ytoo big for LW. He has the same body type as Alves, who’s also another fat-ass!

They both sure have a lot of fat on thier bodies… NOT!

Gleison is no surprise that guy could fight at middleweight!!

Condit and Kampmann looked like a couple of bags of coat-hangers at the weigh-in.
