wow cole miller is becoming a bad ass, talking smack going nose to nose. I thought junie was suppose to be the arrogant cocky bad boy and miller suppose to be the nice cool calm and collected one. Miller is trying to make a name off junie and i dont think it is going to happen i see him getting tkoed in the 2nd.

by matt on Mar 31, 2009 8:21 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

I dont see how anyone can possible think Junie is gonna win this one, ya sure hes training at Xtreme Couture but it doesnt matter how good your training is if your stupid as f*ck and dont know how to exacute game plans. Miller by Decision… im putting the house on it

by BMO on Mar 31, 2009 9:18 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

his gameplan looked pretty good in his last fight, that idiot was very impressive in his debut in UFC.I admit I thought he was an overhyped punk on the show, and I still think he is overhyped.I would’t bet the house on Miller, you are probably going to be broke.Dana has kept him in UFC for a reason, odviously he thinks highly of the idiot

by scott on Mar 31, 2009 9:41 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Because of all the bullshit he pulled on the show, Dana would keep him in the UFC regardless of talent. He is the only guy casual fans will remember from that season of TUF, and so will garner Spike ratings.

by Jeremyjackson on Mar 31, 2009 11:06 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

While your completley right regarding ratings; but Matt I don’t think Cole needs to ‘make a name off him’ he’s had better competition and does have decent name recognition being on TUF himself.

If anything Junie needs to prove himself as a real fighter by beating or having a decent showing against Miller.

I’ll grudgingly admit Junie looked great in his Debut.

by ShaiZ on Mar 31, 2009 11:45 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Off topic: I HAVE SPIKE HD NOW! Just when I had given up on the hope of it happening. I don’t know if it’s just my area or what the deal is, but I’m happy. HD makes MMA so much more fun to watch. Seeing the details like if someone is grabbing shorts or seeing how bad a cut is really improves the experience IMO.

by Punch You in the Ovaries on Mar 31, 2009 11:45 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

I hope Cole beats the hell out of JUNIE “BROWNING HOLE”…

Miller’s so damn skinny, but it looks like he’s putting on a little more muscle.

by DAVE A on Apr 1, 2009 2:48 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

I dont know what to think of this match up. Cole always improves and Junie looks like night and day compared to how he fought on the show. Junie will probably show even more improvement tonight, but I am not sure if he will be improved enough to deal with Cole who has beaten guys like Gurgel and Garcia who I dont think that Junie could beat at the present time. MMA math NEVER adds up, but Cole has already proven to beat B-level guys. So far, Junie has beaten c-level guys. I dont know if Junie is ready RIGHT NOW to make a jump in competition against Cole “Baby Ken Flo” Miller! I dont see Junie getting BLown out….he will put up a fight, but in the end I have to give the edge to “Baby Ken flow”

by john on Apr 1, 2009 9:40 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Pushing that nickname hard huh? Won’t stick, let it go.

by Boom Goes the Dynamite! on Apr 1, 2009 9:51 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Baby Kenny? Cause of styles? Looks? Something I missed?

Cole has faced and beaten the better competition for sure. But that was also the case with Gabe vs Carwin. Everyone’s reason for Gabe winning was simply because he faced and beat better competition. That used to be a pretty big factor in my fight picks, but as of late, I have nearly thrown it out the window. Another great example, actuallly way better than the first example would be Jon Jones vs Stephen Bonnar.

When this fight was first announced, I really like Cole to win the fight. However, I think that Junie must have gotten into his head which is going to make Cole want to stand and trade. I am starting to think that Junie just may win and it will be by LIVER SHOT. His body punches will soon be some of the best in the division.

Junie isn’t stupid, he’s smart!.. nothing happened in this video, Dana stepped in too early..

i’ll take your house..Junie’s got this one

by sgtscott on Mar 31, 2009 10:00 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

outside of bjj where is cole miller better, browing is a similar fighter to jeremy stephens, he has explosive stand up, decent wrestling, and pretty good submission defense. Junie is a good fighter when he trains and comes in to the fight in shape and if your training at extreme couture your going to be in good shape. I would browning has the advantage everywhere in this fight except for the bjj.

by matt on Mar 31, 2009 10:08 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

My thought exactly. I have rolled with that Junie and his jitz aint bad either.

i think they are both purple belts.

by Cut the Blue Wire on Mar 31, 2009 10:40 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Hey Cut the Blue Wire, do you train at Xtreme Couture? I’m going to be in Vegas in June and was thinking of traing there one day just for a cool experience…what do you think? That is of course if you train there….

well couture aint too smart either. its spelled Extreme, not xtreme. durrr

by Egads on Mar 31, 2009 11:49 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

He stuck to a gameplan in his first UFC fight and dominated.

I’m pulling for Junie.

There are lots of troubled youths that find MMA and become better for it.

All the hate is pushing me from “let’s give him a break” to being a full-blown fan.

by Punch You in the Ovaries on Mar 31, 2009 10:56 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Cole is upset because he has just came to the reization that Junebug is most likely going to knock him out. Having to cut weight on fight day and deal with the fact you might get KO"d in front of 20,000 fans is alot to deal with. And now the Junebug and his corner know that Cole is scared…OWWW WEEE!!!

by EIGH8T on Apr 1, 2009 10:25 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

i would learn to EXECUTE spelling first then disrespect…junie browning late 2nd round tko or unan decision

by Fightfanatic187 on Apr 1, 2009 10:35 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Dana moved in pretty quick to protect Junie, normally he lets them get in each other’s face then step’s in.

by NM on Mar 31, 2009 10:54 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

I’m a BIG Dana White supporter, and have never bashed him, but I dunno why he’s protecting Junie so much. Keeps him on the show, gives him FotN for a decent performance, but nothing show stealing, and now keeping Cole from getting in his face. It wasnt like he broke them up, he got in front of Junie. Ahh.. I dunno man. Hope Cole submits Junie to the undercard, where he will have to shut up about being the “real” main event.

by Synyster on Mar 31, 2009 11:08 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

I agree,I also have never bashed Mr. President due to what he did for the sport. He did give Junie so much chances it’s unreal.

Well I can see why you have Miller wining but I have to stick with my picks but it would be great to see Junie get a beat down.

Remember I got Marrero, you are gonn be shocked hahahaha but remember if he loses this post never existed.

by NM on Apr 1, 2009 12:23 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

i think dana knows someone in junie’s face could get real explosive.

by Buttcrack Obama bin Laden on Apr 1, 2009 2:36 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

There is legitimate heat there. Cole posts on the UG and he’s mentioned a few times that he doesn’t like the pre-fight “smack talk” that Junie has been spewing.

I guess when he was finally in front of him that is how he reacted. It should be a good fight.

by R-Dizzle on Apr 1, 2009 7:52 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

They are both punks. Don’t like either fighter nor do I think either will ever be a real contender. That being said, for some reason, I want Junie to woop his ass.

by Boom Goes the Dynamite! on Apr 1, 2009 9:49 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Should be a good scrap! We’ll see how much Xtreme Couture has helped Junnie.

by JV on Mar 31, 2009 8:22 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

I can’t stand Junnie, but Sean Tompkins is one of the best coaches out there.

by Bluepit on Mar 31, 2009 8:44 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

I agree that hes a great coach, but a crappy fighter, as far as records go. Hes 0-4 with all (T)KO losses. I’ve never seen the fights though.

I’m actually interested to see how Cole has progressed since TUF. Junie is still green but Cole has had some time to develop now. I’d like to see him show that he has learned things

by psyqo78® on Apr 1, 2009 12:49 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

He did beat Gurgel true, but JG was winning that fight the entire time. Hopefully Couture has instilled some smarts in Junie, where as Gurgel’s got way better jitz than Miller but wanted the fight to be exciting so he didnt turn it into a bjj fight.

i think cole is trying to psyche out the trailer trash. junie already cracked on tuf for all the world to see.(except for his friends and family in appalacia with no power). junie has a weak mind and cole probably did all he needed to do to get in his head. ill take cole by stoppage rnd 2.

junie reminds me of those mouthy ass dirtbags in school. when they crossed the line and you beat their ass they would start crying and you would feel bad and let them off the hook. then those dirty bastards would take off on their stolen bikes and flip you off. you just see how pitiful they are and feel bad for them.

nearly brawl? that was retarded.

by chris on Mar 31, 2009 10:31 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

I see this fight playing out the same way the jeremy stephens fight against miller played out. Junie will get to the inside and tear miller apart with strikes he wont stay on the outside and allow miller to strike from the outside. Gotta go with Browning on this one 1st or 2nd round tko.

by mmaman on Mar 31, 2009 10:34 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

um, where exactly did he “overheat”?

that was stupid.

I see Miller having trouble taking Junie down. Then, Junie picking him apart standing.

I really don’t see anyway cole miller loses this fight. Julie browning is a chump, his lack of skill will be exposed weds night. I think I would look good vs kaplan. No way julie wins!!!

by mr guillotine on Apr 1, 2009 12:04 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

You can say what you want, but we are talking alot about Cole like never before and Junie who has one fight in the UFC. I don’t see anything wrong with hyping up the fight.

Junie isn’t known for his knockout power, so any comparison of him to Jeremy Stephens is mute. Cole is better on the ground and can hold his own on his feet. Junie’s cardio is more suspect then Cole’s but seemed good in the Kaplan fight, even if it was only a two rounder. Junie is going to have to bank on winning a decision I think. Cole can bank on a sub, Andy Wang highkick, or Leonard Garcia-esque 3 round war. I think this should be a good fight regardless of who wins since you have 2 well rounded, good cardio fighters who are looking to have an all out brawl.

by E30kaiser on Apr 1, 2009 12:55 AM EDT reply actions   0 recs

I really hope julie looks as good vs miller as he did vs kraplan but doubt it. I see miller standin up with him till he gets pissed and then shootin for td. Eventually getting browneye down leading to a 3rd round sub, would love to see junie pass out.

by mr guillotine on Apr 1, 2009 2:03 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Yeah this was dumb. I’m still puzzled y Dana stepped in to save junie from a mean stare down? I’m gonna start calling Him Jared Shaw if he doesn’t watch it. And E30kaiser i like ur analysis of the fight but kinda wonder if this fight mite go junies way if he can get cole to the ground and hold him there
