ProFC 5: Aleksander Emelianenko vs Ibragim Magomedov (Video)
Former PRIDE heavyweight Aleksander Emelianenko (15-3) avoids being stopped for just the second time in his career thanks to a timely cut suffered by Ibragim Magomedov (21-6-1) in their brawl at the ProFC 5 event on March 29, 2009, held at the Palace of Sports in Rostov-on-Don, Russia. The second-to-last Emperor was rocked with an overhand right but clinched his way to recovery while sending Mags to the locker room for stitches. Vat a country!

Maybe the refs felt that they owed the family that one.

Anyway, he was only rocked for a second.

Isn’t anybody else amazed by the fact that punch didn’t drop him? He almost sat right down on his ass and just bounced right back up and started brawling. That’s a tough Russian.

i should be but with the experience difference and the level of skill aleks possesed i expected to see his quick accurate hands. not getting dropped by a no name and winning by a cut
if aleks doesnt get into a good camp hes going to get beat by a can, and lose all his credibility. hes a super talented fighter he just has the worse training preparation for his fights

aleks is easily one of my favorite heavyweights to watch! Aleks vs. Arlovski would be amazing!

Only because Arlovski has a very suspect chin. Skill wise I don’t see the comparison.

Sucks for that guy. Loses with a cut and contracts hepatitis in the same night.

there is nothing wrong with Aleks’s health. stop with the dumb rumors!

These are not “rumors” john. Aleks will never be sanctioned to fight in the states. You tell me why he hasnt made the 2 Affliction cards? If Atencio’s goofy @ss payed Tim 800K, imagine what Fedor’s little brother would have made? So again, why hasnt he fought for Affliction?

JV: if u havent noticed, I try not to respond to you…I try to deal with facts usually, while you do a lot of accusing with no proof. I hear you accuse fighters of roids, Aleks of STD’s…I dont care to get into any of that. when you show me a blood test from a fighter that says positive for STD’s or Roids, then we can talk!
I live in America, you know…the country who’s justice system is built on innocent til proven guilty! ever hear of it?
The worst commission in the world, the CSAC’s corrupt comisioner made that remark. I dont listen to a damn word he says. Even if he will never be sanctioned to fight in America, there are other reason’s behind why. STD’s sound like a typical idiotic internet rumor.

this is idiotic. yeah he was shaken up, but by the time they had moved apart he had recovered
