Nah man, you got it all wrong:
Condit -slight upset
Magrinho – slight upset
Heathen – slight upset
Bader
Griffin
RIvera
McKenzie
Almeida
Larson
Kimmons
Jensen
and Catone as my upset special.

by Synyster on Mar 30, 2009 12:12 AM EDT up reply actions

Magrinho is a lock

by BMO on Mar 30, 2009 12:58 AM EDT up reply actions

Well we will see.

We have the same as for a few undercard fights but not on the main.

You did better then me on 96,but sorry to say my friend I will take this one.lol.

I’ll give you Catone because that one is a toss up for me.I think Heathen is the favorite right? Also Bader is going down.

by NM on Mar 30, 2009 12:58 AM EDT up reply actions

I almost have full confidence you will win. I tend to think I have (at least) decent MMA knowledge, but for some reason I really suck at predicting the outcome for fights. I dont know how many parlay’s I’ve lost bcuz one guy on my 3 man team dropped the ball. I’ve had nights (92/94) where I lose nearly every fight. With 96 being very well for me, I’m due for a big loss. lol

I dunno bout Heathen being a favorite or a dog. That fight is kind of under the radar now that hes not fighting Efrain. I’d say hes a slight dog, but who knows/cares.

And now way Bader loses to Caramel Marello. Just, no way.

I got a 3 man parlay on this event, with Cole, Condit, and Tyson. I went pretty bold with Condit, but I think he’ll pull it out.

by Synyster on Mar 30, 2009 9:36 AM EDT up reply actions

Stephens will indeed be a dog against Tibau, and I am checking every hour on BetUs and BoDog to see when they list to odds because I am jumping all over Tibau.

Cole Miller beating Junie is not an upset, infact, Miller is the small favorite (not by much)

Does anyone have any intel on Jesse Sanders? We all know what Larson brings to the table, but what does Jesse have?

by ViolentMike on Mar 30, 2009 11:11 AM EDT up reply actions

great card?! sorry, but i have to disagree with you. it MAY be exciting like usual if these fighters does something entertaining, but if you ask me… this card looks like crap. it’s just my own personal opinion.

by boardRIDER on Mar 30, 2009 12:43 AM EDT up reply actions

It’s all about who draws. I’m thinking Junie draws whether we like him or not.

Off Topic: Wife and I are going to Vegas Wednesday moring and coming back Friday morning. We have free tickets for sitting through one of those timeshare type things a while back. Anyway, she’s pregnant so we can’t do the usual. In fact, we’re bringing our 1.5 year old. Any suggestions on fun things I can do there with a knocked up wife and kid?

Come check out Extreme Couture! Were right off the strip and we offer classes everyday from 9am till 1pm then again in the evening from 6pm till 9pm. The middle of the day is open mats and Pro practice which runs from 4pm to 6pm. If you would like to train its $25 for a daily pass which gives you access to everything in the gym. There are pro’s there at all times throughout the day.

On Saturday’s classes go from 9am till 4pm and then the gym closes for the weekend.

cant believe they are gonna show that POS Junie fighting over:

155 lbs.: Tyson Griffin (12-2) vs. Rafael dos Anjos (11-3)
185 lbs.: Ricardo Almeida (9-3) vs. Matt Horwich (23-11-1)
170 lbs.: Brock Larson (24-2) vs. Jesse Sanders (20-4)

I know he is popular but not because anyone likes him.

He is probably the worst fighter to ever be on a main card, and the worst personality in MMA. He makes War Machine look like a poet and a scholar.

by DirtyML on Mar 29, 2009 10:19 PM EDT reply actions

you just said it, he’s popular.. I bet he acted like a moron on purpose to make a name for himself

by RoB on Mar 29, 2009 10:39 PM EDT up reply actions

Thats what he said he did.

by NM on Mar 29, 2009 11:02 PM EDT up reply actions

he’s popular because we all want to see him get KTFO!

Cole Miller is such a bad matchup for him… Im suprised miller isnt at -350 on the betting lines

by BMO on Mar 30, 2009 4:13 AM EDT up reply actions

dball that has nothing to do with it… popularity is still popularity

by RoB on Mar 30, 2009 9:53 AM EDT up reply actions

You would be surprised at just how much of a nice guy Junie is…the kid is probably the most down to earth and friendly person you could ever meet. It is almost shocking at how different he is in person. He is also a complete gym rat…I cant remember the last time I was at the gym and he WASNT there. Im not sticking up for him cause I know he did some crazy shit but it really helped his career! In the world of MMA you have to do whatever you can to get every single dime out of these promoters and Junie just did what he had to…

Look at all the comments surrounding Junie…it looks like he did his job well!

by Extremecoutureguy on Mar 30, 2009 3:28 AM EDT up reply actions

good post man, and thanks for the inside info into extremecouture…Hopefully you stay on this site and keep providing isa with the inside scoop into extreme Couture!

by john on Mar 30, 2009 9:00 AM EDT up reply actions

yep very nice! i’ve been trying to tell people on here forever now that most “bad boys” are actually nice guys in person..

by RoB on Mar 30, 2009 10:18 AM EDT up reply actions

having the Almeida and Griffin fights on the undercard is just laughable! horrible card, are there really that many hardcore TUF fans out there?.. good for me that there’s world cup qualifiers again on wednesday, that’s the only thing that matters..

by RoB on Mar 29, 2009 10:31 PM EDT reply actions

If its so terrible dont watch it!

by NM on Mar 29, 2009 11:08 PM EDT up reply actions

by RoB on Mar 30, 2009 12:09 AM EDT up reply actions

Sweden,wow didnt know that.

well Rob it will be a great night of fights,be sure to watch it.

by NM on Mar 30, 2009 12:54 AM EDT up reply actions

There’s no world cup qualifier games on wednesdays?!
Just friendly games all over the world.
Swedens next game is against Denmark, Stockholm/Råsunda on 6 june. Oh yeah, i got tickes!!!

by Choke_Him on Mar 30, 2009 5:57 AM EDT up reply actions

oh now that you’re saying it.. Sweden are playing Serbia in a friendly wednesday yes! but i wasn’t wrong there’s still wc qualifiers going on all over the world i just looked it up!

by RoB on Mar 30, 2009 10:05 AM EDT up reply actions

man i can’t complete the sentences without missing something.. friendly on wednesday*

NM no prob i watch every UFC event!..

by RoB on Mar 30, 2009 10:11 AM EDT up reply actions

Oh ok. My bad. Im just so pumped up for the Denmark game! :)

But on wednesday ill be rooting for Kampann, for sure. Gotta support are Nordic brothers! And i actually think he will get the W somehow. Hes a monster at 170!

by Choke_Him on Mar 30, 2009 10:58 AM EDT up reply actions

Would have had Nick Catone/Tim Credeur or Ricardo Almeida/Matt Horwich on the TV side of the card. but who cares free mma or should I say free good mma is a good thing.

by Oops! on Mar 29, 2009 11:13 PM EDT reply actions

Thats the truth!!

But im sure we will see way more then we expect, due to all the stoppages we will have.;)

by NM on Mar 29, 2009 11:22 PM EDT up reply actions

The main card does not suck! Carlos Condit is the shizzle. He is going kick the crap out of Kampmann. There is a reason why he was ranked as the number 7 welterweight in the world.

by BadNutz on Mar 30, 2009 12:13 AM EDT reply actions

there isn’t a real main event to this card though, they shoulda signed a former TUF runner up or something or hell maybe through thiago silva on as a main event

by randy murders on Mar 30, 2009 1:53 AM EDT up reply actions

HUH? Condit is soooooooooooooooo UFN Main Event worthy and has been for years. He has been headling WEC event for a couple of years now. Also, Kampmann is no joke. Would a Ed Herman vs CB Dolloway been a better main event in your opinion???

by ViolentMike on Mar 30, 2009 11:28 AM EDT up reply actions

it’s not about who’s good or not.. I completely agree with randy! and yes VM, Ed Herman vs CB would almost be a better main event.. the main event are supposed to hold the fighters people come to see and neither one of Kampmann/Condit sells..

by RoB on Mar 30, 2009 12:48 PM EDT up reply actions

they could atleast have had Condit vs a bigger name..

by RoB on Mar 30, 2009 12:49 PM EDT up reply actions

badnutz condit is good but hes not strong enough to be a contender in the ufcs ww division. his frame makes him easy to slam around and i think kampmann will bully him in this fight. plus i still have a sour taste in my mouth from the muira fight. that guy is such a can and condit barely got past him

by Jared on Mar 30, 2009 7:37 AM EDT up reply actions

It would be very dissapointing to see Kampmann just maul Condit like Marquardt did to Kampmann sending him down a weight class

by ViolentMike on Mar 30, 2009 11:29 AM EDT up reply actions

i think i might have been spoiled a little bit in january and february with all the great mma cards because i feel like its been ages since i saw some decent mma and i find myself getting pretty pumped about this card on wednesday. regardless if the fighters are upper echelon or not, they can all put on a fight worth watching.

by ActionJackson on Mar 30, 2009 12:40 AM EDT reply actions

This card is going to rock. I hope we get to see some of the great undercard fights though! I really hope Junie gets killed in the octagon and they need to take him off the main card. I have no interest in his MMA career just hope he loses and gets booted out of MMA forever. Sucks to see his fight taking the place over much better fights. Hate that hick…
