Anyone know what rampage registered when they tested him on sport science. I wonder who hits harder?

by NameNotRequired on Mar 27, 2009 7:01 PM EDT up reply actions

i dont remember them testing his punching power but i wanna say it was around 1200. They tested his arona style slam and it was enough to kill a person, or would have killed the dummy if it was a real person

by ehoglund on Mar 27, 2009 7:18 PM EDT up reply actions

rampage had 1800 pound punching power on sport science

by bigtime on Mar 27, 2009 7:40 PM EDT up reply actions

actually i think it was like 18,000,000.

by TapOutNow on Mar 27, 2009 8:23 PM EDT up reply actions

Ok I watched the sports science with page on youtube. They measured him at 1800 pounds of force. I’m definetly not smarter than the average bear, but chuck was measured in psi. I don’t think thats the same but I would have no idea how to compare.

We need smart people…

by TapOutNow on Mar 27, 2009 8:45 PM EDT up reply actions

you need to divide rampages 1800 pounds of force over the surface area it was hit!! take for example a quarter square inch punch with 800 lbs behind it would result a psi of 3200! chucks belly is huge, how old is this??

by jslim on Mar 27, 2009 9:28 PM EDT up reply actions

Rampages punching power is over 9000!!!!

by N-Cryptic on Mar 27, 2009 9:58 PM EDT up reply actions

Rampage hits harder than Chuck for sure.. he hits like a f’in truck

by RoB on Mar 27, 2009 10:06 PM EDT up reply actions

“Vegeta what does it say about Rampages punching power”?

“ITS OVER 9000!!”

by N-Cryptic on Mar 27, 2009 10:10 PM EDT up reply actions

Didn’t bas rutten go on that show a few years ago and just shatter a dummys chest? I think he had the higest lbs per/sq inch.

by mr guillotine on Mar 27, 2009 10:53 PM EDT up reply actions

PSI is pounds per square inch. Pounds of force has to be divided by the area (in square inches) of the fist that hits the object to get PSI. Also Pounds of force is, of course a measurment of force. Force is equal to mass times acceleration. So the mass of guys fist plays a large role. Like those George Foreman jabs that can KO a guy. It’s that big hamhock arm with giant fists at the end.

DAAAAM!! Old Chucky still got some hand speed as he showed on that cow…his belly cracks me up though! I sure would like to see him get another highlight reel KO on someone before he retires even if it is at the expense of Shogun

by Chadx23 on Mar 27, 2009 4:48 PM EDT reply actions

That’s what I’m talking about! His hands by themselves are like dynamite, but with those spikes on he could have destroyed Evans (imo)…..:)

by BeerMan on Mar 27, 2009 4:53 PM EDT reply actions

lol He would have killed him. That is craziness! Im gonna get a set…

by enzo-enormous on Mar 27, 2009 4:56 PM EDT up reply actions

Damn Chuck is lookin out of shape; you go back and watch some of his older fights and the beer belly was never hangin out there like that. I’m rooting for Chuck against Rua, but things are not looking good here..

by El O damn he got caughticutioner on Mar 27, 2009 4:58 PM EDT reply actions

Chuck has always had a petruding abdoman. It looks excactly the same as usual.

by yoububg on Mar 27, 2009 5:20 PM EDT up reply actions

Nah looks to be more out of shape; you’d have to go back and watch some older fights to notice because he’s always had it, fight against randleman, the pride 2003 grand prix to really see the decline. Instead of going Tito Ortiz on a side of beef he should go Jared on some Subway

by El O damn he got caughticutioner on Mar 27, 2009 5:29 PM EDT up reply actions

He should just fire his nutritionist and hire Oprah; that b!tch knows how to cut weight.

by Jared on Mar 27, 2009 6:37 PM EDT up reply actions

he’s got the typical old man beer belly! if he could only stop drinking so much beer, he would look so much better..

by RoB on Mar 27, 2009 10:11 PM EDT up reply actions

It’s not like this segment was done yesterday—Chuck is going to show up in shape. And for all the talk about Chuck’s belly, he never gases in a fight. A lot of guys have six packs who can’t go three rounds…it’s a fight, not a beauty contest.

by A.T. on Mar 27, 2009 5:52 PM EDT up reply actions

this is true, its not a body building show….

by Chadx23 on Mar 27, 2009 10:04 PM EDT up reply actions

It’s probably for the best that the producers of that segment neglected to include scenes of Chuck eating the cow after repeatedly punching it.

by Jeremyjackson on Mar 27, 2009 5:02 PM EDT reply actions

oooo burn….he was just tenderizing it before he threw it on the bbq

by ehoglund on Mar 27, 2009 7:20 PM EDT up reply actions

Chuck will be champ again. I will make sure of it! UFC undisputed 2009 PS3! He is my favorite fighter, I’m also a Ben Saunders and Mike Swick Fan and see them battling for the title as well (in the game of course). I hope Chuck goes out with a Big KO of Rua!

by BeerMan on Mar 27, 2009 5:03 PM EDT reply actions

that was USRDA “past prime”

i watched without audio. i actually thought they put sensors under his shirt on his belly. but then i realized that was just chuck, 100% chuck.

by COR on Mar 27, 2009 5:14 PM EDT reply actions

Starting to wonder if Chuck would make 205 without the belly

by El O damn he got caughticutioner on Mar 27, 2009 5:17 PM EDT up reply actions

a couple of older fights in the UFC I think he wieghed in at 190 or 195, but that was with the flat 6 pack of abs and 10 years ago. But, I read in his book that he used some scale trick to make that weight

by Chadx23 on Mar 27, 2009 10:06 PM EDT up reply actions

Can someone tell me what was going on with those guys that were sitting at the back table. Did Chuck tell that guy to “come get some”?

by BeerMan on Mar 27, 2009 5:20 PM EDT reply actions

I heard there was a delay in filming this show. They went in to the freezer to get the side of beef, but instead they found nothing but bones on the floor and Chuck standing there with a shit-eating grin on his face. After buying another side of beef, and waiting for Chuck to digest his last meal, they finally got the show finished.

True story.

by introvert on Mar 27, 2009 5:21 PM EDT reply actions

Then Lyoto showed up and explained to Chuck:

“After you eat so much then were to you find yourself locked in this room for any length of time and you get thirsty, here’s what to do…”

by chris on Mar 27, 2009 6:30 PM EDT reply actions

I can actually see shogun and liddell trying to take down a baby elephant with those things and then eating it. If their cardio held up.

by legitimate on Mar 27, 2009 6:35 PM EDT reply actions

There’s only one Chuck that could do that, and thats Chuck Norris; and he could easily take down and consume several adult elephants

lol, Barnett pulled out of the fight with Fedor with affliction?? Can anyone confirm that, cause i’m just now catchin up on the last pro mma radio replay and their sayin he did.. If he did, then damn.. Barnett is ducking..

by O damn he got caught on Mar 27, 2009 7:50 PM EDT reply actions

Same way Affliction was ducking their October fight card and moved it to January! Eventually it’ll happen.

by UFC Champ on Mar 27, 2009 9:57 PM EDT up reply actions

odamn: I have been hearing that Barnett is ducking Fedor for a couple of weeks now.

The airing of the event will tell if Fedor n Barnett take place. If Affliction 3 is on cable tv network, then Barnett n Fedor wont be fighting each other, but would both be on the card fighting someone else. If Affliction 3 is on ppv, then there is no doubt that Fedor will fight Barnett!

I am a big fan of Josh Barnett and have wanted to see him face Fedor for a long time, but I have this feeling that its a fight that will never happen. I honestly dont think Josh wants any parts of Fedor! its really a shame if Barnett ducks him again!

by john on Mar 29, 2009 9:40 AM EDT up reply actions

Some cool stuff, did u see the gut on Liddell… I hope Chuck is working on his strenght training often,,, he sure looks old.

by DAVE A on Mar 27, 2009 9:22 PM EDT reply actions

you know I am starting to wonder…I mean its not like his belly is the reason hes losing his fights lol, but it is big. I saw a pic from maybe about a month ago with him running into the ocean for some charity thing and his belly was as big as always. It would be cool if he KO’d Shogun via gut hit to the face….I am totally on the Chuck Liddell war wagon and always have been. I just really want to see him win one more time with a KO or TKO before he retires

by Chadx23 on Mar 27, 2009 10:10 PM EDT up reply actions

Chadx23, I know MMA isn’t all about muscles, however, at a certain age, you got to boost your weight training, and keep tabs on your diet, to try to keep what you got. I just can’t imagine Chucks’ doing all that he can during , I hope I’m wrong I wanna’ see Chuck whoop Shogun.

Does anyone else feel like having BBQ after watching that video??

GET YER F’D UP CHUCK RIBS!!!

As for his belly, filming for the production is most likely 5-6 months ago.

by UFC Champ on Mar 27, 2009 9:55 PM EDT reply actions

i just watched an extended preview on icemanmma…it says Chuck hits with a force of well over 1,000 lbs without the spike gloves but they didn’t give an exact number. I think Rampage hit with 1,800 lbs of force on fight science, pretty interesting stuff. I think Chuck’s deal is he’s pretty accurate with his punches, so he doesn’t have to hit you as hard, but if he lands it in the right spot your endind up on queer street.

by Chadx23 on Mar 27, 2009 10:27 PM EDT reply actions

Rampage did 1800 with a body slam

by DAVE A on Mar 27, 2009 10:57 PM EDT up reply actions

no its on youtube he punched with 1,800 lbs of force and body slammed way higher than that. I’m impressed Chuck can still punch pretty fast for 39. He ought to use more speed instead of always going for the overhand right bombs or uppercuts from a mile away. They said he punches at 14 meters per second and the “average” boxer punches at 9 meters per second.

I just always remember Chuck vs Tito I when he had Tito against the fence hitting him like 18 times or something crazy. I’d like to see him go off like that on SHogun. I have a crazy theory, but I think Chuck is going to bring back the high kicks in the Shogun fight and possibly a few takedowns. Chuck knows everyone is on to his style and I predict he’ll be desperate to win in anyway he can. I wouldn’t be suprised at all to see Chuck going for subs in this fight if he takes Shogun down.

by Chadx23 on Mar 28, 2009 12:03 AM EDT up reply actions

Yeah, I hope Chuck beats the hell out of Shogun.

by DAVE A on Mar 28, 2009 2:08 AM EDT up reply actions

and everybody slagged Ricky Hatton. FFS that’s poor 2 get that out of shape, he should fight Tyson

by FightBuddha on Mar 28, 2009 1:37 AM EDT reply actions

The problem with this video is that the cow doesn’t hit back.

by suckit on Mar 28, 2009 2:06 AM EDT reply actions

I think it’s fairly obvious that this is not a fight. It’s a demonstration for a TV show.

by KS on Mar 28, 2009 7:40 AM EDT up reply actions

i dont know if anyone cares but, rumors are that a bobby lashley vs marcus jones fight has been made official for an xfc event on april 25. should be a good fight hopefully.

by it'sT.O.baby!!! on Mar 28, 2009 2:47 AM EDT reply actions

Chuck is finished. He let the notoriety go to his head. Showed up to TV interviews coked out.

Stick a fork in him, he’s done. He’s just after a payday until no one will book him anymore.

by TJ on Mar 28, 2009 6:40 AM EDT reply actions

your a moron, he was drug tested after that video and pested CLEAN.

by Chadx23 on Mar 28, 2009 11:40 AM EDT up reply actions

why are you up his ass, he was stoned and you know it. The guy has been passed by.

by Smarg on Mar 28, 2009 1:01 PM EDT up reply actions

drunk is more like it but TJ is accusing him of coking up which he may have done at some point in his life, but, not on that TV interview. And I’m not up his ass, I’m just not a fairweather fan like you seem to be who jumps the bandwagon as soon as he loses some fights.

by Chadx23 on Mar 28, 2009 3:03 PM EDT up reply actions

crazy to think once upon a time some guy or girl got one of those square in the face! ouch!

by Insain on Mar 28, 2009 11:38 AM EDT reply actions

WOW. just the thought of Chuck having access to those kind of weapons is a scary thought… although I am sure there is some kind of great tv show concept there.
