that sucks- May he RIP
Dana white also seems like a very good loyal guy (to those he wishes to be) but never the less he seems like a good guy all around

Yeah, White has lots of sides to him. He treats certain individuals that were there with him in the grass roots days almost like they were in a family business. I’m always amazed at how he’s treated Couture with admiration, regardless of the falling out they had and the things Couture said. White has a very loyal side to him that I think takes years to build, and he’s just not going to throw that away over a disagreement for people that have proven themselves over time.

LOL. You act like you know Dana.
Everything you hear\see from him is BS (being it isn’t the real person, he is coming from a company president standpoint)
Dana didn’t bash Couture for OBVIOUS reasons (he would alienate UFC fan base and look like an a-hole)

you know you can still be friends and still not be able to make business together.. this isn’t about being friends they’re supposed to be strictly proffessional without getting personal feelings into it! now Dana was great and showed his respect for Charles in this video, Dana may be a good person but that has nothing to do with how he handles his job

TRUTH, not to say yr perspective is less valid than mine. Almost completed a Masters in Psy, so it’s not that I know Dana personally, but I have a good understanding of personalities. I stand by my perspective while giving yours credibility, because like I said, there’s many sides to this guy, it’s not all just greed and posturing for the media.

but who he is as a person is besides point, i have no problem telling what type of a person he or anybody for that matter is either.. this right here is his job, he’s trying to get the UFC into mainstream media! all we’re seeing is him doing his job infront of the cameras and if it wasn’t, well then he wouldn’t have a camera up in his face..

Rob, this thread is going away, but the fact that White is doing his job and commenting about his friend on video doesn’t make him an inanimante object.

Dana showed his loyal side to Couture? you do know that he called Randy gay and called him out as a liar right?.. maybe he should have showed him some admiration by giving him a bigger contract and not set him up to lose against Lesnar when he came back!.. Dana kicked Tito, Andrei, Couture, BJ, Pulver out of the company and and now you’re kissing his a$$ cause they came back!.. most of these guys are friends, im tired of explaining this but understand that these guys are in a business trying doing their job to make money! that has nothing to do with how they are as persons or how good their personal relationships are, or atleast it shouldn’t be. Dana has a tendency of taking things personal and that is not the proffessionality he should have, they’re all there to do their job and some are doing a better job than others..

Good to see him showing respect to “Mask”

I guess Mask, and the Tapout crew really are more than just a clothing company. With all the stories coming out since Mask’s passing, it seems that he really cared about everyone around him – and not just about making money.
Its different to see Dana without the tuff guy attitude. See guys, he CAN be nice.

I’m shocked there were no f-bombs dropped in that interview. Must be a first for Dana.

cause no one asked Dana the question and record it at the same time and then post it?
videos are not that complicated of a concept.

There was a tribute video played at Fight Night in Omaha which was right after Tanner passed. I mentioned something to Dana about Tanner’s death and he talked for a couple minutes about Tanner’s influence on the sport and what a great guy he was. However Mask was there from the beginning with Dana so I’m sure thier relationship was closer.

It will be interesting if he is talking about the hall of fame as something special he will be doing for him.

Dana was very close with Mask. Anybody whoever met Mask knows how cool he was.

I hope this isnt a little excuse to Liddell maybe losing his next fight – Wanna see the Iceman back at his best (kick as well as punch)

Nice thoughts from Dana, but in my book, given his warmth, sincerity and general loving vibe, Mask had already “made it”, and probably well before he ever met Dana…….R.I.P.

I can’t see how Tapout, Affliction, or any other MMA oriented clothing manufacturer “making it” before the UFC changed the landscape of MMA.
Don’t be a hater, the UFC has made many rich with all their hard work, give credit when its due.
