Bruce “The Cheez” Buffer… II had noticed that he started doing that thing since about a year or so ago. He’s good on the voice, but annoying as hell to watch.

Alot of Maniacs on here don’t like Rogan and Goldie but I think the UFC has a cast of characters that blends well more than any other broadcast team in combat sports….They all seem to love MMA and not doing it just to get a pay check.

Bas rutten, Rogan and Couture would be the best possible broadcast team. Rogan and Bas would have a ball together, and all 3 breathe MMA!

Bas and Joe would be great both get excited when good stuff is happening…I’m not sold on Randy yet….think he did a better a job at Pride…Wandy vs Hunt is a classic.

Currently John is right.. Bas, Joe, and Randy would be a dangerous combo.. Bas and Joe would be a lock.. If I were to sub Couture.. I like Florian 2.

Any one thats been at the live events knows that that song is the song they play with an awesome video of all the great UFC fighters n fights just before the live broadcast starts
Anyone know the name for it or any info on it
Been to 3 events and it always gets me pumped for it

Its " Teenage Wasteland " , and yes its a very cool video they play it right before the ppv/live portion starts.. Ive been too UFC 71 , 74 , & 86 and that song gets the crowd going insane before its over.

Haha. I noticed that he did that about 6 or 7 UFC events ago, and I always try to point it out to my friends. Sometimes they cut it off just a bit. It is funny to hear him talk about it, and I am glad he doesn’t take himself to serious. I agree with Rogan, if he pulls the 360 at 100 I may just piss my pants.

buffer, rogan and goldie are all funny dudes. personally i’d hate to see somebody else filling their shoes, they are an integral part of the ufc for me.

here’s hoping buffer pulls out the 360 at 100.

I agree that the UFC’s got a good crew of announcers/commentators, but anyone ever notice the creepy eye contact that goldberg gives rogan when it’s just those two? Makes me a little uncomfortable to be honest…

i did the buffer 180 after coming home from an event and i had my phone in my hand and it slipped out and smashed against the wall!!!!

I’m honestly not a fan of Bruce Buffer. The moment I first heard his voice, I thought 2 things: 1: This guy is brothers with Michael and got the hookup. 2: His voice is not as distinguishable as Michaels.

But, after listening to him for a few years, I’ll admit that I’m used to it and wouldnt want anyone else in there.

Are you guys kidding? Bas Rutten is anything but a good fight caller. Rogan and Goldie work very well together no should the UFC break this partnership. I am a big Randy Couture fan but he was just ok as a commentator – no presence at all. Bas has a presence but he annoys me (I am a fan just not of his commentating).

I love the 180, Im glad it has a name. I laugh everytime he does it and tend to make a big deal about it. I laughed the whole time I was watching the video. PLEASE DONT BREAK OUT THE 360 AT UFC 100. The 180 is cool, please stop there Bruce.

Am I the only one here that thinks that Bas Ruuten is one of the worst commentators there is. I hate listening to him as a matter of fact I can hardly watch MMA WEEKLY on sportsnet because of him. BAS is a brutal announcer……..BRUTAL!!!

Up until I watched this video, I hated the 180. Now that I’ve heard the story around it, and that it has a name, and as a result he keeps doing it, I think it’s awesome.
