Let’s do it."

-- Former Elite XC female mixed martial arts mega star Gina Carano provides MMAWeekly.com with an update on her current situation in a recent interview. "Conviction" has not competed since a three-round drubbing of Kelly Kobold in October 2008, winning via unanimous decision and pushing her perfect record to seven wins versus zero defeats. She has long been rumored to meet up with Brazilian Chute Boxe-trained striker, Christian "Cyborg" Santos. However, the highly anticipated match up has never materialized on numerous occasions for various reasons. Santos is now booked to fight Hitomi Akano at Strikeforce: "Shamrock vs, Diaz" on April 11. Carano indicates that the fight could finally happen if Santos can pull off the victory ... maybe.

This fight will happen before the end of 2009. Props to Gina, because she is a real fighter willing to bang with best of them!

To me, Gina vs. Cyborg is one of the most appealing match ups that the sport could provide in 2009! that would be a WAR!

MAN she’s hot.. i saw pics of her yesterday from the del mar mma tournament and she looks like her face got chubby, i hope she’s still hiting up the gym. she has problems making weight so she better look good when i see her agin.

Totally agree with both of you. probably the most flattering picture of gina around, and I have to toatally respect her for throwing down in the cage every time she fights. she has awesome strikes and a fight between her and Cyborg would be awesome.

That pic was from a mag. shoot she done awhile back so I’m sure its all touched up. She looked hot and I still don’t know why that was the only pic they put in the magazine. Can’t wait to see that fight either. I hope Gina doesn’t get that pretty face scared up. I hope her cardio is good that night and she gets out of there with a win.

Cyborg has said her strategy is takedown ground and pound. Don’t know why since there aren’t too many people who can stand with her. Gina will go for that same gogoplata over and over even though i don’t think she knows how it works(she didn’t even know the name).

Gina is probably just ‘waiting out’ her old contract..Then she can negotiate a big money deal to fight Cyborg..She is smart enough to know that she wouldn’t make half the money she deserves, fighting on her current contract..

LOL at Carano being an “MMA mega star”. The vast majority of casual fans have never heard of her, and she’s had like two fights on CBS. Somehow I doubt she gets mobbed every time she goes to the grocery store. The fat slut can’t even make weight. Women’s MMA is a joke, let’s stop talking about it.
