i agree completely. looking at those angles you’d think the camera guy was taking a beating filming the show, not the fighters!

lol@ the colonel saying Lashly proved himself. Anyone else (including ken shamrock) submits him. I thought Guida had the armbar set up nice in the corner…then the ref stopped them. Really bad fight!

The camera man is obviously doing everything he can to avoid showing that left ear

Bispings true test was Rashad and he did great considering he was a scrawny LHW.
Bisping is going to beat Hendo. He is going to use speed n footwork to out point Hendo on his way to a decision. As a +350 underdog, I already bet $50 on Bispings, $50 to win $175 sounds like great odds that I cant pass up on…especially since the public isnt willing to accept the FACT that Hendo is slowing down with age!

50 dollar donation to the bookies kids’ college fund john… didnt u say franklin and palhares were going to beat him as well? he may have some age on him but that hasnt slowed him down his past few fights, look at the 5 round war he had with rampage!
by brendan on Mar 21, 2009 4:30 PM EDT up reply actions
I don’t know brendan, Henderson is still tough as nails but he has definitely looked slower and older in the last year or so.
by Jeremyjackson on Mar 21, 2009 4:35 PM EDT up reply actions
really great odds John. I agree 100%, Bisping isn’t gonna knock him out, but out point him he will. He did well against Rashad and got up every time Hammill took him down, I don’t see Hendo offering up anything he hasn’t seen before. Hendo could always hit him and KO Bisping, but Bisping is very technical!
by kevin on Mar 21, 2009 4:53 PM EDT up reply actions
Come on guys let’s be real here. Hendo is gonna wear him down in the clinch and finish him with a TKO ground and pound stoppage.
by NameNotRequired on Mar 21, 2009 5:22 PM EDT up reply actions
Hendo’s greco roman style is something Bisping hasn’t seen. The upper body control, the trips, etc will be hard for Bisping to manage. If he can stay out of the clinch and overcome that then he definitely wins by decision.

Anyone else watching March Badness?? Lol, it was only 30 bucks so I figured what the hell. Din Thomas looks good at 145 lbs, why not try the WEC?? Hallman looked like his back was bothering him; I think he hurt himself in training, just didn’t look right. Got the sub none the less, so good for him..

about to watch Guida get destroyed; good god, Lashly is a monster.
by O damn he got caught on Mar 21, 2009 9:44 PM EDT up reply actions
wow lashly is going to lose… he’s spending way too much energy here. I hope he makes an adjustment but at this rate he’s going to gas. props to guida.. I didn’t think he could stop a TD
by O damn he got caught on Mar 21, 2009 9:50 PM EDT up reply actions
Bisping is gonna beat Hendo.. Bisping is going to be too fast, too technical for Henderson!.. Henderson is getting old, and he’s fading.. my prediction is that in a couple of years we won’t see any guys at around 40 being succesful, cause that’s just too old have the speed and explosiveness to compete at the same level as the younger guys..
by RoB on Mar 21, 2009 9:51 PM EDT up reply actions
Wow 2nd round and lashly looks GASED, Guida is about to win this fight I’m tellin you, crazy shit.

pathetic fight ODHGC. announcing is terrible too. Ref broke them up twice too soon. I left you an “apology” in the tapout thread!

I saw dude.. I’m not gonna hold it against you forever, thats not me; I forgive but I don’t forget, please don’t comment negativly on something like that in the future, it’s just not appropriate. BTW, I’m going with ROY NELSON here, who you got???

Could happen be don’t you think he’s going find it hard to stuff the takedowns? I can it see it just going like the Hendo/Frankin fight.I think Hendo will win a close decision due to takedowns.

You can “Count” Bisping out of this one! Haha. Henderson by boring ass three round decesion!
by countdracula on Mar 21, 2009 12:27 PM EDT reply actions
the only UK fighter to ever do good int he ufc really has been bisping, and hell he isn’t even that great.. no way the UK wins this one even if semtex daley was on the show they would LOSE and decisively

I actually like Bisping, but I don’t think he will have much luck against Hendo.
by naturalshadow on Mar 21, 2009 12:43 PM EDT reply actions
I like Henderson by decision in this one, but I’m all over those odds for Bisping!
by Jeremyjackson on Mar 21, 2009 3:41 PM EDT up reply actions
Those odds have got to be a mistake though.
by Jeremyjackson on Mar 21, 2009 3:47 PM EDT up reply actions
I think this’ll be a close fight, but the odds against Bisping are crazy. I’m defo putting a few quid on him!

TUF: Dana stated how disappointed he was with the judging and even eludes to shitty refereeing.
Henderson – Bisping: Bisping is going to out point him, simple.
The last thing the UFC should do is prop this match up as display of what they want out of a match. Winner gets Marquart, cant run and hide or lay and pray against him!
by Torrescantbebeat on Mar 21, 2009 2:03 PM EDT reply actions
On one hand, he did well against the current LHW champ. On the other hand, he did not so well against The Hammer who is a hard hitting wrestler like Dan. And I would say Dan would be similar to Hammil, but superior in every way. I think Bisbing doesn’t get enough respect, but I think Hendo takes this one and Bisbing goes on another win streak afterwards.
by wAyNe on Mar 21, 2009 2:06 PM EDT reply actions
by the way its BisPing not Bisbing.
Bisping won the match against Rashad in my eyes however I did think he lost the battle with Hammil. It is a real test for Bisping to fight Hendo as he has been a top international fighter for a while so really looking forward to this one and think that it wont go the three rounds what ever the outcome.
Bisping to win by KO in 2nd round.

bisping nuthugger dan is one of the few guys whos never been tkod/kod that fought in pride. his chin is pure iron. hes goin to either knock bisping out or get a dominating decision !

Yep and Bispings never been knocked out either, Bisping by decision
by MoonUk on Mar 21, 2009 4:38 PM EDT up reply actions
and tell me the level of competetion difference between the two. hendo got his head stomped by wandy in there first fight and kept kicking also he took on big nog whos a heavy weight and didnt get ko’d. bisping took on leben who has insane power but sucks at using it.
FUCK THE HATERS
WAR HENDO!!!!!!!!!!!

i agree here/ i think hammil won but both fights were so close they could of been draws.

Hendo will beat Bisping I guarantee it. I won a lot of money betting on Dan beatig Ace – will bet on him again.
This does not change the fact that Hendo is about as clever as my dog. Being abrasive is not a British thing – we are understated by culture. Bisping is our anomoly yet he is not even close to Diaz bros, Shamrocks, Jason Guida, BJ et al.
As for this format for TUF – it sucks. USA v UK is like putting my previously mentioned dog gainst a tiger. The sport is only in its infancy in the UK and the demographics are also heavily against us.
I would recommend a game of socer between all participants at the end of the show, but the F’in US would probably win that too.

Glad to see a few people commenting with some brains, common sense and an actual knowledge of MMA for once. Will be a great fight, but if Evans couldnt know out Bisping out, then Hendo won’t. Bisping is very technical and beat Leban easily. Bisping will beat Hendo by decision. A close one maybe, im going for 29-28 Bisping.
by UK_Chris on Mar 21, 2009 8:25 PM EDT reply actions
Are you seriously comparing Rashad to Hendo at the time he fought Bisping?
Rashad had little stand up skills at that point with only one flash knockout to his name with a head kick. Hendo (at that point) was far superior
Hendo can still KO Bisping
And don’t try compare the Leben situation to this fight either, if Hendo gets frustrated with the stand up he has the option of clinching or take downs that Leben didn’t look for
by IrishKev on Mar 22, 2009 9:45 AM EDT up reply actions
This could easily depend on how active the ref perceves Dan while he is working in Bisping’s guard. Effectively tying up Dan and getting quick standups could be a huge factor as Bisping will easily outpoint Dan on the feet. If i can find a way to bet on a decision I’ll put the feaking house on it.

I have been reading this site almost daily since it was called ufc mania but only post occassionally because of work constraints.
Hendo will win this fight. Bisping has become technical out of necessity. In the Cage Rage and Cage Warriors fighting days Mike won by blitzing as he was the best. In TUF he dominated because he was the best. However in the upper ecehelon of the UFC he has struggled because his anaerobic capability is limited. This guy could run 2 marathons back to back but struggles against strength. Best example is Hamill. He did well against Rashad only because Rashad was shit scared of spoardic flying knees. Rashad’s takedowns were sporadic badly timed and cagey. Also Rashad was still developing his stand up.
Now Mike is to face a wrestler with knock out power so will find no comfort in the jab. He cant get too close as he won’t risk the shoot. Also Hendo has been in all situations and will handle a guy still trying to find his feet against top notch competetion.
Mike’s best bet is to say to himself F*** it and try and run through Hendo. This way he may find an advantage against an ageing warrior. He will probably lose but at least he gives himself the chance of a TKO.
For all you Americans Bisping is a tough son of a gun. If you were about to face two doorman in alley way you would rather be flanked by Bisping than Hendo. However in the Cage skill domibates and from I have seen Hendo is better.
As for Rashad – I hate the dude but he is going to be champ for a while. Greg Jackson has bad assed the boy and he is almost complete.
by Billy Boy on Mar 21, 2009 10:04 PM EDT reply actions
Billy Boy – Bisping could win by using the same tactic he used against Leben. He will win.
by Tony on Mar 21, 2009 10:54 PM EDT reply actions
John or Kevin – if u didnt bet on bisping would u still want him to win – i mean i think Hendo has been Silvas best opponent yet and i stil am keeping the faith he could beat him …but how could bisping beat anderson? atleast dans got the best wrestling but bisping is more of an all round fighter and not superb at anything individually except he can get a lo of points from jabs and leg kicks so i dont see how he could beat silva this way – i dont think he could hold on to eek out a decision or is that wat u guys reckon bisping wil try to do if he fights Silva??
Although i loved Bisping wen he was on the show – i went off him wen evri1 joined the bandwagon and when he ritely lost to Hamill so im hoping for Dan the Man to tae this!
