Complete roster for UFC Undisputed 2009 video game revealed

More than 80 fighters past and present will be featured in the "UFC Undisputed 2009" video game, which will be available on XBox 360 and Playstation 3 on May 19.
GameSpot.com has the scoop for the THQ-produced offering -- the first for promotion since Ultimate Fighting Championship: "Sudden Impact" back in 2004. And it has a few surprises, including a heavyweight division that looks nothing like it does right now.
In fact, former champions Andrei Arlovski and Tim Sylvia, as well as Mirko Cro Cop and Fabricio Werdum, are all represented. Meanwhile, surging star Shane Carwin -- even Randy Couture -- are not.
Some good news is the the late Evan Tanner will be included. And even former number one welterweight contender Jon Fitch -- after a dust up that nearly cost his his job over a contract dispute -- is also part of the line up.

It has AA, Tim Silvia, and many others that are no longer in the UFC. But it has Brock. Too F’ed up but very interesting. When this game comes out and someone buys it please tell me who wins. Brock vs. Silvia, and Brock vs. AA. Brock is the BEST. Hate me now, go on HATE ME!!! I love it.

There’s legendary fighters in the game too. They just haven’t been announced. From what I’ve heard before I believe he will be in there along with Royce Gracie, Dan Severn, Ken Shamrock, Tank Abbott. There might be more, but those are just the names that I remember seeing.

how is Tito in the game but not randy? Tito has been very outspoken about not wanting to sign his naming rights away to the UFCF…how did they get him on the game.

I don’t know, all of my friends likes him too. he’s got heart and a great personality and most importantly i see the real Tito. he’s a great businessman, too good for the sport of MMA actually. I like the fact that alot of ppl “hates” him and that the UFC always tried to bring him down b/c he was too big of a star and he took too much space for them to handle. you know he’s still holding the record for most sold PPV’s in a year from 2006.. bottom line if Dana would’ve been smart he would’ve used Tito’s popularity to make him an even bigger star than he was but instead of that he marketed him as a coward to take him down and make his friend Chuck the poster boy.

so hear me out john. I’m a huge fan of the person Tito he could do and be in whatever sport he likes to, i don’t really care, cause i’d still be a fan cause of who he is… now i am on the same page as you about how he fights and how he performs, but it’s like you watch a TV show and you become a fan of a certain character for some reason, and then you realize that u don’t care about what the person does but about who he/she is.. I have a good story about the Tito/Liddell/Dana deal too but it would take me all day.. I kinda knew this discussion was about to happen sometime and it’s cool cause it’s fun for me to talk about Tito =) haha.

The fact Tito is on this game is crazy to me. Im a Tito fan, but other than usung his name, and showing clips of people punching him in video previews of fights, I figured there was no way in hell he would be on the game. I would expect to see Tito back in the UFC some day.

Current technology is not advanced to enough to properly convey just how incredibly awesome Fedor is. If they did put him in the game they would have to give him an unlimited heath bar and double the stats of any other fighter in every category. He should also be able to fly.

How about Xbox Live updates that update the current champs in all weight classes, move fighters when they drop weight, and their stats change according to how they actually perform?

I’m soo glad they put Tim Sylvia in the game, the first thing I’m gonna do is beat his ass with every H/W in the game. If THQ really want the game to be as realistic as possible then they wont give Tim and punches or kicks, instead just a variety of ways to pin down and hug his opponent. The only reason Sylvia ever won the title was due to the lack of fighters in the heavyweight division. As soon as people like Brock, Mir (Returned),Gonzaga, Nogueira, Herring, Werdum etc showed up he ran off cause he knew he’d never win a fight again. The only downside is the fact I can’t use fighters from other divisions to beat his ass.
Speaking of which why can’t we mix fighters from different divisions. I know THQ are after the most realistic fighting expeirence ever, but Imagine the possibilities of the dream fights GSP Vs Anderson Silva.

HW: Lesnar (going to beat up Silvia and Mir a lot!!! :) )
LHW: Machida (own Rashad and any other goof that tries anything, except Franklin…I may let Franklin beat Machida)
MW: Silva (really, can anyone beat him… I don’t think I could even rig it to make him lose)
WW: GSP (because he is the best all round fighter and a real nice guy! go Canada!)
LW: Penn (or Escudero… if only Miguel Torres was a LW… I don’t really like any lightweight fighters, fun to watch though)
Hopefully there will be some kind of free fight option that allows people from different weight classes to fight!!! If not that is stupid. I hope EA keeps making shit games so other companies can become competitive again, everyone stop buying EA games they are monopolizing the gaming industry!!!!
PS – can’t wait for this game, woohoo, Silvia and Tito are going to get multiple beatdowns!

I don’t really think that matt arroyo is going to be in the game right??
He’s not even in the ufc anymore.. Man alot of this fighters dont belong to the game like Kazuhiro Nakamura, Yushin Okami and Mark Bocek.

there’s 97 total fighters according to gamestop’s ufc 2009 help guide.. i know 1 of them not named cause dana white leaked it Royce Gracie is in the game for shure !herb dean will be a ref in the game.. u can go get help training from The Pit or greg jackson’s camp & alot of other top teams.. i dont play online so i havent played the demo :( but.. i have been reading everything about this game ! looks amazing scene a few glitches in the demo on youtube but i hope thats just in the demo~ cant wait to try this full game out & become pro @ it i wont play any other game come may 19th.. and i enjoyed the PrideFC game also made by THQ & i know this 1 is gonna blow that old game outta the water.. so people been sayin the mouth piece flys out too much but.. i scene some video were knockouts happen and no mouth pieces leave there mouth so.. good news there.. no guida or couture (ea game) but oh well they need fighters for the next game ~ witch wont take nearly as long as this 1 did to produce just make improvement on what they have already done ! cant wait to destroy TITO,SYLVIA,AA and Anderson Silva ( finally some1 will beat him down) BEEN BITING MY NAILS OFF WAITING ITS THE 5th tommorow so.. i am PUMPED IT COMING !
