UFC Quick Quote: Joe Lauzon knee surgery update with pic

"I think my knee looks pretty good! When I had just my meniscus done the last two times, it was a lot more swollen. Stitches seem clean and it wasn’t bleeding too bad. One of the incisions was bleeding a tiny bit but that was it. There is a pretty good sized raised bump about 3 inches below my knee though. Not sure what it is but I am sure its fine.I am supposed to go back and see my doctor in 7 to 10 days so we will make an appointment on Monday and see whats next."

-- Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) lightweight contender Joe Lauzon provides a post-op update via his official Web site on the season-ending knee surgery he recently underwent to repair a torn meniscus. It is an injury that will more than likely keep The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 5 alum on the sidelines for the remainder of 2009; however, he appears to already be off to fast recovery. Lauzon most recently saw action against Jeremy Stephens in the UFC Fight Night 17 main event in Tampa, Fla., on Feb. 14. He took out "Lil’ Heathen" with a second round armbar to notch his second straight win inside the Octagon.

Absolutely not, UFC paid for all of his medical care. People are donating him money because he has no income to help his family for 12+months.

dana said he would be helping corey hill with the healing process as well

If you are so concerned why dont you send everyone that gets hurt your money. GEEEZUZ, the UFC pays for the medical bills after that its up to you, like all other contract work out there. Its easy to sit back and rip the UFC but this is just like any other kind if contract work. Same as being a contract worker and not paying your taxes, then complaining at the end of the year because you did not save any money to pay them. Its stupid for people to not save there money for shit like this. I did not hear anybody complaining about the UFC when Rich Franklin got jacked up by the Spider, geez he had more than one surgery and was out for about 12 months wasnt he. Coryey should be a little more organized in his life. Bunch od bleeding hearts that probably would not send any of your own money, just sit there and blame the UFC, what a joke.

eeeewwwwwww thats not pretty, but Joe is such a scrapper, he’ll be back soon enough. Hopefully at 100% because there are so many great match ups for him in the UFC, probably only a handful of guys that are above him skill wise. Batman would be a good test for him after he dispatches Neer…

Hope they release Jor after he loses this fight , hes a decent gatekeeper but he cant hang with A lvl fighters. Who was the last person he actually put away , Guillard? Wait nm , it was Tibau.

In his last 5 fights hes 2-3 , with loses to Penn , Florian and Sanchez with wins over Pellegrino and Tibau … Just seems he cant hang with the upper lvl fighters.

Fun too watch regardless , ive seen him live at UFC 74 and 86 Live in Vegas.
