Awesome Jackson-Jardine montage…i’m so pumped. Great show once again for the MMA Live crew.

Why is McNeil so much more comfortable talking about Quinton Jackson and Rashad Evans? haha

Yeah McNeil is an ardent racíst, and he doesn’t try to hide it.

Rampage TKO Rd 1.

John, on our Aldo v Pulver convo. Sorry I diddn’t respond b4. At first I agreed with your “holding the UFC to a higher standard” thing and I get that the division is thin at the moment. However, thinking about it more today…This is a division that the UFC does not have. Being run by the same company, they should be striving for the same level of excellence and should also be held to a very high standard. There is talk of Kid coming over from Japan. That’s why I would hope for that to happen and for Aldo to fight him first with Jens taking a step down in comp and getting a win. They need to sign more talent, not build up names with wins over aging veterans. If this was truly a smaller show, like a minor league, then I wouldn’t have much of a problem with it. Say if it was happening at 185, but this is “elite” as far as that division goes so there’s no reason they should use Jens to build up Aldo.

i sent them an email about the Shammy/Lashley fight with my opinion that better judgement needs to prevail here and stop this fight from happening. I’m positive they won’t use it, but hopefully I get a response.

crowls: I dont disagree with your logic…but bringing in more talent right now is easier said than done! Japan has had the lighter divisions on Lock for years now, and right now there are Featherweight grand prix’s going on in both DREAM and Sengoku which take top fighters away from the WEC, and Shooto has a lot of tough lower weight fighters as well!

agreed. Kid needs to get here sooner than later though.

by ufc 96 on Mar 5, 2009 4:43 PM EST up reply actions

really seems like he is given up so rampage gets a tittle shot and machida wont get the tittle shot I think that dana thinks rashad and machida wont sell enough ppvs so they wan qhuinton to beat rashad and then face machida becouse quinton can sell enough ppvs by himself

by The Philicutioner on Mar 5, 2009 4:04 PM EST reply actions

I agree because machida cant do anything with his name and really cant do anything with his fighting style! rampage would have to be on there to counter his lackluster style! i know i am not the only one who feels that way about machida either! and i see what everyone says about how he is agressive in his own way and how he has mastered striking on the way out and how he is so mysterious. man whatever he is boring!look at all of his fights in the ufc. all of them (except maybe his last one) are very hard to sit through because he runs away the whole fight. even on his last fight he caught thiago on punches from the way out. look at the fight with tito, tito tried to bring it the whole fight, what did machida do he ran away! i know i may get crap for this one but its just how i feel about him!

by Winner by Strikes!! on Mar 5, 2009 4:31 PM EST up reply actions

Machida has the possibility just like every other fighter to market himself.. he just doesn’t know how to do it!.. he is just a boring person and therefor becomes a boring fighter to watch even if he happens to get a finish like he did in his last fight.. some got it, some don’t
