maybe mania is predicting a similar judges decision

no decision here either jardine stops him with leg kicks or rampage takes his head off

I never heard so much BS in a promo video!
Dana white: “a win for Jardine will change his life”…..just like a win of chuck was supposed to do? Give me a break Dana! Everyone knows that Jardine is the red headed step child of the LHW division! F Jardine….he doesnt even want a title shot….get him the F out!
Rampage is going to F him up! Remember what Wanderlei did to him? Jardine used to fight at heavyweight….wanderlei is a glorified middleweight….I wouldnt want to be Jardine on March 7th either Page!
Only reason Rampage even let the judges rob him of that decision, was he came into that fight severly under trained, and he knew it, and paid the proce mentally. Page was tenative early…looking like he was pacing himself for a 5 rounder because he knew his gas tank wouldnt hold up…and it cost him! He respected Forrest too much and allowed it to be a much closer fight than it was supposed to be enabling the judges to rob the crap oout of him!
Best thing to have EVER happened to Rampage….NO time off between fights now, stays secluded in england…. Rampage as a gym rat? thats a scary thought! Dude’s better take notice!
btw, I think the Formula to beat Forrest has been laid out.
Take him down, G n P till his eyes roll to the back of his head! Rampage is going to win the title….and I hope Forrests faces some other dudes with no acl…so he can work his way up to a title shot so Page can Knock his head off like he was supposed to do the 1st time. I never really bet over a grand on any fights, and I usually only bet about $25-$100 on fights, but I swear that if Forrest ever fights Page again….I will bet 5 Grand on SLAMpage!
FYI….I think he will be busting the slams out of the closet against Jardine! Ready to be ARONA’ed Jardine?

i’ve jst watched the countdown show and it looks like rampage is training hard for this one, i see rampage by KO 1st rd unless he hasn’t started checking kicks, in which case it could go jardines way although i think he will get caught at some point.
carwins workout schedule is crazy, he’s a beast and gonzaga is going to have his hands full, I see a 2nd rd TKO for carwin, if he finishes this fight impressivly i could see him in a title fight for his next one, after mir-lesnar there isn’t really a clear cut no1 contender so i think it’ll be the winner of this fight.
as for the other fights:
sell by tko
hamill by tko
maynard by UD
i also want to see the vera fight because i’m curious to see how he performs this time, his last few fights have sucked and i’d like to see him like he was for his first few fights at HW
by hughes on Mar 4, 2009 7:09 PM EST up reply actions
where the hell did you get to see the countdown show?
by john on Mar 4, 2009 7:33 PM EST up reply actions
i live in the UK, it normally gets shown a day early over here
by hughes on Mar 4, 2009 7:35 PM EST up reply actions
yeah, it only showed the build up to rampage-jardine and carwin-gonzaga, carwin seemed by far the most impresive, the weights he was lifing were just unreal, his work ethic will easily drive him to a title shot, he basically trains all day, gonzaga and his camp know its going to be a seriously hard fight, and at times it sounded doubtfull that they had much confidence in winning it. rampage is clearly training harder than ever, that loss to forrest has done wonders for him, the only downside to the way he is training now is that he probably doesnt have the same quality of training partners as he had in the US, his trainers were saying they had problems finding sparing partners because he was destroying about 5 per week and they couldnt go on, now that could either be because he’s that good or they just aren’t good enough, either way he should take this with a KO and if he doesnt his conditioning should definatly be there to go 3 rounds at a fast pase
by hughes on Mar 4, 2009 8:23 PM EST up reply actions
john, i’m just curious about that formula to beat forrest, you left the part out about letting him hit you til he breaks his left hand so he has no way to keep you off of him. i thought he fought a good fight until he broke the hand.
by Buttcrack Obama bin Laden on Mar 4, 2009 8:47 PM EST up reply actions
the LHW title its gonna be defended 7 months later thats too much, the LW its gonna be defended till august thats one year and 3 months, GSP its not defending that often either, the HW title is a mess
we wanna watch more title fights!!!
by JoW on Mar 4, 2009 9:22 PM EST up reply actions
buttcrack: u arent going to get anywhere with he…trust me! I think forrest is garbage!

by JoW on Mar 4, 2009 8:25 PM EST up reply actions
jackson vs griffin??
if rampage win well he will fight for the title in UFC 100 but what machida should doo? wait??
hey machida… lets beat another guy!!!
by JoW on Mar 4, 2009 5:18 PM EST reply actions
Machida already answered that question. He said that if Rampage fights evans for the title, he wants to continue fighting, but only if its against a top guy. IMO, if he wants to fight he will get the winner of Chuck/Shogun…depending on who wins. shogun would step up and fight Machida in a heartbeat…Liddell’s old ass WOULD NEVER take that fight at this point in his career….Believe me! Chuck will probably end up fighting Jardine! Forrest is also an option, but deep inside is a BItch, and I dont see him stepping up to the plate to fight Machida. When Forrest was champ, he was already making excuses about not wanting to fight machida cause he is boring! F off! Machida is the truth, and only Page has a shot against him!
by john on Mar 4, 2009 7:03 PM EST up reply actions
YEAHH shogun vs machidaaa
hey john i know u are a big fan of shogun and machida just like mee
but if shogun defeat chuck like in old times
who u pick in the fight
shogun/machida??
by JoW on Mar 4, 2009 7:59 PM EST up reply actions
If Shogun has cardio…I pick him over anyone at 205 lbs….very dangerous striker with the best ground game in the entire division….IMo!
by john on Mar 4, 2009 8:12 PM EST up reply actions
i do believe that shogun is the best in the 205 if he has cardio EVEN that i am not all sure if machida can be beaten i just dont see weakness in his game…
by JoW on Mar 4, 2009 8:22 PM EST up reply actions
Dude, Forrest was supposed to fight Machida wayyyy back at UFC 70. and chuck will KO shogun. and page should knock jardine off quick. and will lose to shad and machida. shad will stay LHW champ this year.
by Synyster on Mar 4, 2009 8:49 PM EST up reply actions
i haven’t heard anyone say they want to fight machida, but i agree shogun in shape would step up in a heartbeat, i just have some serious doubts about his drive right now.
by Buttcrack Obama bin Laden on Mar 4, 2009 8:52 PM EST up reply actions
synyster, the only way i see evans stay champ that long is if he continually puts off fights like he did with rampage. at the pace he is setting he may only fight one time this year. if he doesn’t fight till june or july, he will probably want another six months off. dana needs to get the fights set, and if you don’t want to defend your title you lose it.
by Buttcrack Obama bin Laden on Mar 4, 2009 9:01 PM EST up reply actions
im not a fan of having champs sit on the sidelines like he is; i’d rather EVERYONE fight like KOS, but what can i do? i’m just saying, i think Shad will keep the belt for a while. i didn’t mean just this year, but probably get at LEAST 2 defenses. maybe 3 but no more than 4 or 5. just what i think. i’ve always bet against him and obviously i’ve always lost, so i’ll be on his side till he loses 5 straight.
by Synyster on Mar 4, 2009 9:18 PM EST up reply actions
all the title holders should fight way more often!!!
by JoW on Mar 4, 2009 9:24 PM EST up reply actions
i think 4 months in between would be a good amount of time in between, that would be 3 fights a year. the lt hvywt is too stacked w/ talent to have on title fight per year or even two for that matter.
by Buttcrack Obama bin Laden on Mar 4, 2009 10:52 PM EST up reply actions
lol, 3 title defenses for rashad? his first title defense would be page because rampage will take jardine’s head off…do you even expect for rashad to beat rampage? omg!
by gaara on Mar 5, 2009 1:08 AM EST up reply actions
Rashad is a legitimate top 5 LHW…problem is that Rampage and Lyoto, probably the only fighters hat can beat him….are his next 2 opponents, and I really dont think Rashad can beat either of them…That doesnt mean Shad isn’t a great fighter…facts are Page and Machida are just a little better!
Rashad is going to be another 1 pump chump like Forrest and Serra….but Rashad is better than that…he is still young, eventually he will probably win the title back, and maybe actually be able to defend it!

Everyone likes Shogun over Machida?? WHAT??? That is BLASHPHEMY!!!!!
Machida has proven to be on a COMPLTELY different level that everyone he has faced thus far. If they were to fight, it would be EXACTLY like the Thiago Silva fight. Machida would not get touched with a single strike, and he would KO Shogun. Since Machida figured out that he needs to have the killer instinct to win over fans, he has proven to be in a league of his own.
All the talk about this “old, aggressive” Shogun should stop because that “old, aggressive” Shogun was fighting in Japan all roided up and on whatever else he wanted since there was no testing. Since coming to the UFC, he hasn’t even been able to stay healthy for 3 consecutive months without taking whatever he was taking. I am very close to convinced that several of the ol’ Chute Box fighters were up to something funny when they fought in PRIDE.
by ViolentMike on Mar 5, 2009 9:28 AM EST up reply actions
I think Machida would beat Shogun, Chuck would beat Shogun, and Machida could beat Rampage. The Machida/Page fight would be close, but I think I’d have to pick Machida on points. But I’m sticking with Shad all the way. I think if he uses his wrestling early he will be able to set up his strikes later, and with Page, I think he will be able to keep his distance and get a late TKO. Who knows though. But as long as Greg Jackson’s camp keeps up with their between-round strategies and techniques (Greasegate) Shad should do fine. (that was a joke btw)

this post originally said Jackson Vs Griffin, but was corrected a few hours ago.
by BK on Mar 5, 2009 1:07 AM EST up reply actions
I’ll take Griffin by decision…AND predict Rampage will get hurt by a leg kick of some sort…AND that Rampage will, however, win the first rnd…its a lock, trust me on this boys

Delay the inevitable… Lyoto kills everybody in this devision…
by oskarbravo on Mar 4, 2009 6:51 PM EST reply actions
dont you worry for that matter because if shogun wins over liddell using his pride arsenal..then lyoto will be in for a very great highlight reel..its either d dragon will kiss the canvass or shogun…because shogun is a very aggressive fighter and dragon is a counter fighter…i am hoping to see shogun stomp dragon for the highlight..lol

I can’t wait!!! Rampage is the the man and will be the champion once again! Rampage was good in Pride but once he entered the cage he became a gladiator. In front of the largest MMA crowd trapped in a cage he truly became Rampage!! There is no man Machida are Evan’s have fought that Rampage couldn’t destroy. But of coarse if there was garantees we would not be watching. Jardine, Evans and Machida if Rampage is on top of his game you will lose sorry but Rampage is the toughest out of you by far.
by Beaver on Mar 4, 2009 9:22 PM EST reply actions
“rampage was good in pride but became a gladiator in the octagon”
very strong but a true statement there for the first time Beaver…but u know why he is only considered good in pride? its because pride is the “ichiban” and he is surrounded by hungry and extremely talented fighters back then..
ei. shogun, axe, sakuraba, bustamante, arona which are not yet in the ufc when he became a champ…
by gaara on Mar 5, 2009 1:18 AM EST up reply actions
“Jardine, break my will? I’m having a meltdown trying to compute that in my mind” lol — I normally don’t think Rampage is that funny, but this made me laugh. Even though Jardine’s beaten Chuck and Forrest, I have a hard time taking him seriously as a contender.
by A.T. on Mar 4, 2009 10:48 PM EST reply actions
mee too
when he lose to rampage, i will love to see jon jones against jardine that kid is a beast!!
or maybe thiago silva assuming that jones just have 2 fights in the ufc
first thiago and then jardine and BUM!! now he is in the title picture, based in what i seen from jones he will destroy both of this guys, but lest just wait and see what plans the UFC have for this kid, he probably will fight some B fighter first
by JoW on Mar 5, 2009 1:54 AM EST up reply actions
I see Rampage winning but sick KO on the feet, finishing with a hail of strikes as Jardine makes his way to the mat. I really want to see Rampage v Evans … and then I am looking forward to Machida taking the belt off whoever and then sit of a winning streak like his mate, Anderson.
If Thiago Alves were to knock out GSP and Gonzaga smashed Carwin and destroyed Lesnar, the UFC can finally move its headquarters to RIO …
by DownUnder on Mar 5, 2009 1:57 AM EST reply actions
Wow. This is going to be the saddest fight ever. Rampage 1st round knockout for sure. I can’t believe that Jardine had the balls to say that he is the overall better and more complete fighter. Hey Jardine, truth is you look like a F****** retard when you fight. You have just proven how much of an idiot you are to make such a stupid comment. I can’t wait to see Rampage beat your A**!
