Give me:
Couture
Jardine
Undecided on the Nate/Maia fight
Leben
Santos
Willy~G

Thats all they got up so far…

Randy
Nate
Jardine
Vera
Rosholt
Santos
Gonzaga
Gouveia
Catone
Veach

The Randy/Nog fight is a tough call because I don’t know what Nog we’re going to see that night. I’m picking Randy based on both fighters’ performances in their last outing. I know Nog had a bad knee, but I’m not convinced that was the only reason he looked so crappy.

The other tough call is Rosholt/Leben. I’m picking Rosholt because Leben will probably make dumb mistakes and get taken down. Plus he’s a head case coming off a ‘roid suspension, I just can’t bet on him.

Chris Leben will win this fight by devistating KO round 1. Rondy should take this one either by Decision or by tko GNP.

by belfort_fan on Apr 7, 2009 3:17 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

oh come on, rosholt can take a punch and he’ll have Leben on his back with in 30 sec.

by naturalist on Apr 20, 2009 2:46 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

He does have a great takedown, But do you really think he will be able to keep Leben on the ground for three rounds? And do you really think that he can take the punishment that Leben is going to dish out? Nah…

by belfort_fan on Apr 24, 2009 10:49 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

I definitely think Leben will win. Rosholt will not make it out of the 2nd round with him. Leben will sub him if Rosholt gets him down and gets lazy.

Yeah and Jake is one of the laziest people when on top position.

Whats with Leben? Why is he even a name? I havn’t seen one single impressive performance from him…Only thing of note has been him acting like a drunken idiot. ‘Crippler’? more like Crapler… All his fights are terrible. He always looks like a over sized angry baby, swinging his arms wildly… And he really thinks he is good? Remember the pre-fight interview before he fought Anderson? (“Ya im gonna throw him around and blah blah blah…” LMAO) What a joke…

And while im ranting…Tim Silvia??? I only ever see that guy lumber around the ring, getting his ass beat badly while trying to connect with his slow ugly hay-makers that never hit anything, yet i always see his name like he is some kind of contender… He’s a ‘black belt’ in what exactly?

Can sombody plz explain to me how these no skill, no talent Joe-Bumble’s have names for themselves and continue to get fights?

Fail!! Leben is a very exciting fighter.

by Matt on May 6, 2009 7:07 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

ummm yea i see yu only mention the pre fight anderson fight but do we forget all the exciting fights leben has gave us the fans and all the knockout wins such as terry martin or even jorge santiago

by guess on Jun 17, 2009 5:46 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Sheesh…well for 1 he’s the only fighter that I know of that at the end of every fight (win or lose) he says all he wants to do is put on a good show for his fans. Also, I think you need to watch some of his fights again. You’re telling me that his KO agianst Martin wasn’t amazing!?! Come on, brink of defeat! Yeah, maybe you could was a “lucky swing” but it was gloooorious. And how could he be impressive against Bisbing when all the douchebag did was run away, scared of Chris’s “swinging wild arms”.

And who doesn’t talk shit and lose sometimes?! (Aside from the obvious select few fighters) lol

Tim Silvia…hate him…say whatever you want ha

Maia and Nate is the only fight I really care about, I dont wanna see two guys who are too old to be effective in there divsion anymore, I love Randy, dont get me wrong, but he’ll nevr beat brock, and wont bet frank mir, nor do I think he can beat Kongo right now, I think after this fight, Randy will follow in chucks foot steps and retire, ahah, if chuck is retiring lol

by Josh on May 5, 2009 6:45 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

wow randy’s wrestling is wayyyyy to good kongo and he would dominate him for three rounds

by guess on Jun 17, 2009 5:53 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

So you think that Valasquez’s wrestling is better than Coutures wrestling? your out of your mind. And Randy is good enough on the feet to beat Mir up and just goood enough to avoid submission.

sonnen is so underrated in these threads sonnen will clearly destroy wilson

by Craig Holfeld on May 17, 2009 4:31 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

Im looking forward to the Marqhardt vs Maia fight more than anything but this card lacks anything to get real excited over. Yes we will watch two former HW studs go to toe but its probably 2 years too late to really matter in my opinion. I also think Jardine will beat Thiago Silva decisively should that fight happen. Thiago fares worst if its Griffin in front of him. I think Sonnen will eat some punches but eventually grind out the decision. As for Leben and Rosholt, ahhh nevermind. It doesnt matter.

by rbang on May 28, 2009 10:46 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

ummm that leben and rosholt comment was really ass holish sein as how leben alwas garanties all of his fan and the ufc an exciting fight every fight even afta using stariods i still think he deserves some respect and just a thought know that wanderla silva has dropped down how bout a slugg fest with him and leben omfg!!!!

I dunno what everyone sees here but…. Sardine is going to get smashed. Thiago lost a fight to the now champ, Sardine is a guy who loses just as much as he wins. Thiago in 1 round no problem….

by Scotty Thai on Jun 10, 2009 5:56 AM EDT reply actions   0 recs

Jardine only loses to the best. Thiago is going down for sure in this fight. Its actually a great fight for Keith because Silva is a fairly good name, and should be a relativly easy win for him. Thiago Silva is slightly over-rated.

Who here thinks the winner of Maia/Nate will geta title shot? First Anderson fights Griffin then the winner of Bisping/Hendo. If he wins that he gets the winner of this one right? Forest will hurt him and once the ora is gone Anderson will fall like a rock.

Im shocked at how many of u are sayin Jardine is gonna beat Silva. Jardine will be finished in the first round, call his style ‘unorthodox’ i call it fuckin retarded. Silva first round KO.

Easy win for Randy.

Ill weigh in on the rest when we’re closer to the event.

Thiago is at +165 rite now, Im jus waitin for that number to go up n I can make some cash out of this fight! lol

by Tank on Jul 8, 2009 11:00 AM EDT reply actions   0 recs

I think alot of people are basing their Jardine logic on Silva’s last fight against Machida….but Machida has a way of making everyone look stupid. I got Silva 1st round TKO.
I also got:
Nog, Leben, Maia, and Hamill on the main card.

by DW on Jul 8, 2009 3:36 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

i love all you Leben haters, the guy has never had a a good performance? ARE YOU HIGH? with the exception of the Silva fight, name a fight that he wasn’t pounding the shit out of the other fighter?

i really wouldnt be suprised if Randy lands an over hand right ,jus like he did against ol’ Timmy, and finishes Big Nog off with gNp. Then i would love to see Mir And Couture Face off around Nov. or Dec. I think it would make a great match and to see where Mir is really at. Randy is no slouch to over look and is still a big threat to anyone in my opinion. I also would like to see Nate win and see him face Dan Henderson for the #1 contendership instead of hendo and franklin fighting again so soon. Last thing is i hope The Irvin and Gouveia fight will be shown sometime during the broadcast

C’mon a fight with two legends, Silva & Jardine will = action, Nate & maia for the #3 ranking at 185. The Vera fight should be good & Gonzoga’s fight should be shown as well. I don’t know for two shows in one month I’m stoked I’m sure most PPV are watched with friends so shelling out 5 to $10 should be no issue for any MMA fan as well a lot bars have the fights on for free. Enjoy the show trust me it’s going to be good deathreat.

the difference on this card will be stand up all the way…

Randy will beat Nog beacause of his stand up..

Nate will destroy maia standing… the only chance maia has is pulling a lietes and falling to his back a praying nate jumps into his guard which won’t happen..

jardine and silva might steal the show if silva keeps it standing.. which jardine will win..

vera all the way BRADA!!!!

not to mention to knock out jardine stiff, you have to ko punch him like 4 or 5 times!~

jardine doesn’t have a weak chin at all!~

Anyone know how attendance at the weigh-ins works for these? I’m attending the fights live in PDX, but have never been to one before.

Would like to catch the weigh-ins and anything else going on the day before, and would be appreciative of any other maniac’s advice based on their experiences.

Thx
