Quinton Jackson vs. Keith Jardine (205-pound limit)
Round one: Rampage walks right out and ducks under a Jardine right. Their clinched up against the fence. Knees to the thigh from Rampage but its basically a stalemate at this pt and the ref seperates them. A big right from Jardine misses. Uppercut from Jardine. Leg kick from Jardine. Both guys go for leg kicks at the same time. Jab from Rampage. Jardine goes for a brief take down but no dice, and Jardine now looking for a single leg while up against the fence. They separate. Jardine with a glancing right. Rampage with a solid right. Body kick caught by Rampage. Rampage lands an uppercut and then a front kick. Jab hook from Rampage. Front kick from Jardine. Rampage with a left hook then a straight right. Thats the bell, a close round not too much action alot of feeling out but id give it to Rampage 10-9 for landing more clean shots.
Round two: Nice jab from Rampage. Rampage with a solid leg kick. Body kick from Jardine. Nice left hook and right from Jackson. Nice left from Jackson. Nice right from Jackson. Jardine looks a lil trigger shy. Leg kick from Jardine. Rampage with a right and then a BIG left hook and Jardine is dropped!!! Rampage looking to finish with some blows from the top but Jardine scrambles to his feet. Jardine holds on and seems to have gotten back his bearings. Jackson now with a big double leg take down!!! WOW! Back to the feet. Jardine looks spent his hands are lower than usual and he put his hands on his knees briefly. Low blow from Jardine. Jardine with a nice mouse under his eye and a cut. Jardine lands some blows and for some reason out of the stoppage Rampage looked wobbly. Nice left from Jackson. Jardine looks spent. Right hook from Rampage and then a left right combo lands flush. Their clinched up against the fence, and a great round of action. But id give that round 10-9 to Jackson again.
Round three: Rampage looks to be favoring his knee. Front kick from Jardine and Rampage with a right hook. Body kick from Jackson lazy though. Straight left from Jardine. Rampage ducks under a hook and gets another double leg take down. Jardine back to the feet and now their clinched up against the fence. Jardine with his hands on his knees again hes sucking wind. Nice leg kick from Jardine and another. Hook from Jackson. Leg kick from Jardine. Nice straight right from Jardine snaps Rampages head back. 2 mins left. Hook from Rampage and a leg kick from Jardine. Rampage lands a big hook but Jardine eats it. Jardine looking for a take down but no dice and now their clinched up against the fence. Ref breaks it up. Nice right hook from Rampage. 30 seconds. BIG exchange and Jardine is hurt. BIG RIGHT THEN LEFT HOOK AND JARDINE IS DROPPED, BUT THE BELL RINGS. That could have very well won the fight for Jackson.
Final result: Rampage Jackson defeats Keith Jardine via Unanimous Decision

Shane Carwin vs. Gabriel Gonzaga (265-pound limit)
Round one: Carwin comes out guns blazing. Gonzaga with a BIG right hand and then another and Carwin is stunned!!! Gonzaga now gets a double leg take down. Carwin still trying to get his bearings back, and now their back to the feet!! Carwin with a MONSTER right HOOK!!!!!! Gonzaga drops!!! Two more uppercuts from Carwin and thats it!! OH MY GOD GONZAGA IS OUT COLD. Carwin with a short right hook out of no where that hits the button on impact. Carwin looked like he was almost out cold before that. Carwin was stunned then on his back but he weathered the storm and had an amazing knockout.
Round two:
Round three:
Final result: Shane Carwin defeats Gabriel Gonzaga via TKO (Strikes) Round 1
-end-
Pete Sell vs. Matt Brown (170-pound limit)
Round one: Head kick by Brown. Superman punch lands BIG and then a BIG head kick and another HUGE head kick!!! A BIG left and Sell is dropped the ref looks to stop it, but then he says to keep going!!! Brown in the clinch and is landing some vicious knee!!! Snell to the ground and Brown is pounding with big RIGHTS!!! I have no idea how Sell is still in this fight and he probally has the ref to thank. Back tot he feet and BIG knee from Brown and then a HUGE elbow and another KNEE. Brown landing some punches and putting his hands up as if to say how much more can this man take. Another big HOOK and Sell is down and Brown looks at the ref again, he lands some more punches and thats it. The fight is over and it should have been over way earlier, the ref should not have let the fight go on after literally physically wrapping his arms around Brown and then inexplicably letting the fight go on.
Round two:
Round three:
Final result: Matt Brown defeats Pete Sell via TKO (Strikes) Round 1
-end-
Matt Hamill vs. Mark Munoz (205-pound limit)
Round one: Hamill throws a combo that misses and Munoz goes for a take down but doesnt get any where with it. Hamill with a good right and Munoz is shucking and jiving around, and now Munoz goes for a shot and is holding onto a single while Hamill is sprawling. Their back to the feet. Hamill with some soft punches and Munoz with a decent uppercut. Double jab and right land and Munoz isnt looking to counter but rather just duck and run. Leg kick from Hamill. Hook from Munoz. Nice left hook from Munoz then he looks for the clinch but Hamill shakes him off and Munoz lands another left. Hamill with soft almost pawing punches that arent doing damage!! Hamill with a MONSTER head kick and OH MY GOD WHAT A KNOCK OUT!!!! Head kick and instant KO from Hamill. Munoz is still out cold 45 seconds later.
Round two:
Round three:
Final result: Matt Hamill defeats Mark Munoz via KO (Headkick) Round 1
-end-
Jim Miller vs. Gray Maynard (155-pound limit)
Round one: Nice right from Maynard. Leg kick from Miller and then right into the clinch up against the fence and puts a knee to his gut. Nice high knee from Miller. Big right hand and body shot from Maynard but Miller brushes it off. Great body kick from Miller. Miller grabs a single leg and is trying to get the take down but Maynard is fighting it off and landing some solid rights at the same time. Now their clinched up against the fence. Miller goes for a single again and now he has blood coming from his nose. Nice right from Maynard. Maynard lands a HUGE right then solid left to close out the round. Thats the bell Maynard won that round 10-9 and Miller might have a broken nose.
Round two: Maynard attacks and lands a decent right, he seems to have Miller thrown for a loop. Maynard waiting on the straight right to counter the southpaw Miller. Nice body kick from Miller almost a low blow. Nice right from Maynard. Great one two combo to the body of Miller. Nice body shot and good power. Miller looking for a single leg but looses it and Maynard slips out. Maynard with a good right. Maynard now slipping in some good rights and Millers face looks like raw meat. SICK body shot from Miller. Miller letting the hands go to end the round, but Maynard is in firm control of this fight 2 rounds to none.
Round three: Miller's face is horrible, his eye is cut and swollen and his nose looks to be broken. Great overhand left from Maynard. Body kick from Miller. Straight right from Maynard. Body kick from Miller seems to be the only offense he has in this fight. Right hook from Maynard. Maynard goes for a double leg and lifts Miller for the slam. Miller scrambles and is going for a knee lock!!! Maynard escapes. Hook from Miller. Miller shoots for a single. Maynard now with some HUGE punches while Miller is on his back. 45 seconds left. Straight right from Maynard and thats the bell. Maynard dominated this fight from bell to bell for the easy win.
Final result: Gray Maynard defeats Jim Miller via Unanimous Decision

This is PPV will be worst grossing PPV for the UFC all year. How does one fork over $44.95 to see this PPV!?
by Red on Feb 24, 2009 9:28 AM EST reply actions
yeh not the best card but still watchable
i like this card because most of the fights are pretty 1-sided which means it could be a good money maker.
Vera, Boetsch, McCrory are all sure winners
i’ll also be betting on Munoz and jardine for the upset…. although i pray to god that rampage wins
i see carwin/gonzaga and miller/maynard as really close fights so whoever is the underdog for that those fights i’ll be betting on
but as a fan i’ll be cheering for Gonzaga, Rampage and maynard
by ufcaddict on Feb 24, 2009 10:10 AM EST up reply actions
lol i know, dont ask me why but i’m a fan… i cant explain it
by ufcaddict on Feb 24, 2009 10:25 AM EST up reply actions
I understand that Kendall Grove as fallen off in the past year but come on! Stylistically, Grove vs. Doomsday will be much more entertaining than the Maynard and Hammil fights!
aS a matter of fact, I would rather see bOetsh, Vera, Barncat and even Aaron Riley instead of these hump fests that are booked!
WE get it, Hammil has a big fan base in Ohio….so stick him on the undercard and everyone who goes to the live event can cheer his boring ass on., why do the rest of us in ppv land, have to suffer through another one of his technique-less performances?
by john on Feb 24, 2009 4:50 PM EST up reply actions
i agree, grove might have lost 2 out of his past 3 but he has never been in a boring fight. I can see putting maynard vs. miller on the main card as they are two of the top up and comers in the division and i think the ufc wants to expose people to jim miller as he is a great up and coming fighter with his only coming to frankie edgar in a non ufc fight, I think the ufc likes the story behind hammill plus he is a hometown boy, but the thing with hammill he will beat all the medicore guys but when he takes a step up in competition he folds, he needs to rely heavily on his wrestling as he has some great gnp but his stand up sucks, he has alot of power but no technique or defense.
by matt on Feb 24, 2009 10:39 PM EST up reply actions
Really? I hate it when people say they won’t buy this PPV because they don’t like the fights. You didn’t have to pay for the last one and it was great wasn’t it. It didn’t have star power and it turned out to be a bad ass event.
by Sp00ner1234 on Feb 24, 2009 10:43 AM EST up reply actions
I’d actually consider a Hamill win as the upset. Munoz is the more well-rounded fighter IMO. Plus Matt’s proven to us all that he’s too stubborn to play to his own strengths. He beats himself way before his opponents start in on him.
by Machine on Feb 24, 2009 4:22 PM EST up reply actions
yeh i personally wouldnt consider it an upset but i doubt hamill is going to have better odds munoz
by ufcaddict on Feb 24, 2009 6:20 PM EST up reply actions
yeah, true, but when they have wack cards like this you get too see the good fights, meaning the ko’s you don’t normally see when you have big names fighting…. although i rather have the big names.
by konichiwa on Mar 8, 2009 5:04 AM EST up reply actions
Am I alone in thinking you people are ridiculous. How many awesome fights has the UFC given us and how many times have the fights you thought wouldn’t be good turned into some of the best you’ve ever seen.
by Sp00ner1234 on Feb 24, 2009 10:46 AM EST up reply actions
how about all the times that fights were supposed to be awesome and weren’t? gsp/penn 2, florian/huerta, davis/lytle? theres an argument for both sides…
by brendan on Feb 24, 2009 1:19 PM EST up reply actions
Davis lytle? really I thought that was a great fight.. as far as Huerta florian… well you can’t blame the UFC for Kenny being a liar/.. “I finish fights” sure you do Kenny. AND DON’T GET ME STARTED ON GREASEGATE… Like I said before the UFC regardless of us approaching the centennial mark is still in its infancy.. think the NFL in the 70’s… watched but certainly not completely respected by everyone.
by Sp00ner1234 on Feb 24, 2009 1:47 PM EST up reply actions
Also lets all keep in mind that this is OHIO… a wrestling based state. all these fans are going to want to see these fighters. The UFC is catering to a live audience thereby making the fight more entertaining and worthwhile to win making it more worthwhile to watch.

by Red on Feb 24, 2009 9:29 AM EST reply actions
Yeah, can say I’m really looking forward to this PPV. Also, has B. Vera’s star faded? Brandon get it together, you went from main event material to being buried on the under card.
by Jeff on Feb 24, 2009 9:35 AM EST reply actions
Vera is one lackluster win or upset loss from getting his walking papers. And for the love of god, do we really need to see Hammill’s mediocre wrestling and pathetic attempts to throw punches?
by PW on Feb 24, 2009 9:47 AM EST up reply actions
But he is matched up with someone with the same exact skill set. Great All American Wrestler with powerful GnP and his striking is starting to come along as well. His skills might be “slightly” better than Hammil’s but the Hammer has a proven chin and Munoz does not.
by ViolentMike on Feb 24, 2009 9:54 AM EST up reply actions
I wont be paying for this crap of an event!
2 lay n pray fights will start the event off:
Hammil fight and Maynard fight, and I would rather see every undercard fight televise instead of these 2 fights!
by john on Feb 24, 2009 11:29 AM EST up reply actions
Two crap cards in a row. At least 95 was free.
I’m starting to think that the UFC encourages it’s champions to only fight once or twice a year. It benefits both parties. The UFC doesn’t have to pay their highest paid fighters as many times while the fighters can soak up the glory and money that comes along with winning the title.
by RealDrew on Feb 24, 2009 11:54 AM EST up reply actions
Thats a stupid comment. you realize that every time there is a championship fight the UFC makes money… they pay the fighters from profits, not out of pocket.. real drew.. .your comments mean nothing now…

Spooner do you have some sort of stake in the ppv buys? I mean seriously, why do you care if someone wants to fork over the money for this event?
Really I have only bought 2 or 3 ppvs and each time the fights didn’t live up to the hype. I watch them for free now and check out the boards on here.

Spoon who do you think you are? First of all I hate Hockey. Secondly and most importantly I never said anything negative about the UFC. I simply stated that I will not spend my hard earned and ever diminishing money on a PPV that is lacking IMO. I guess I am not entitled to my opinion that this is a terrible card.
by ldcpanther on Feb 24, 2009 11:07 AM EST up reply actions
I think I am a real fan who watches every fight AND pays for them and doesn;t complain because after 95 UFC events and a ton of fight nights the UFC has never let me down. Even when I have been let down I catch a glimpse of something that I didn’t know was gonna be huge like a win from someone who turns out to be a top contender down the road. If you don’t wanna watch it then don’t but don’t claim to be a fan either.
by Sp00ner1234 on Feb 24, 2009 11:13 AM EST up reply actions
You are right just because I am choosing not to order one PPV means I am not a fan. You are such a better fan than I am. You are a simpleton. Hey maybe your Mom can buy the PPV for me as well.

by Robert(1) on Feb 24, 2009 9:53 AM EST reply actions
I got Aaron Riley as the “lock” of the night.
Some pretty tough fights to call. I would love Gabe at -150 or better.
“Rampage is going to kill Jardine” and most of us were saying “Rampage is going to kill Forrest” but he didn’t, and it was because of Forrest leg kicks. Jardine’s leg kicks are just as good if not better, however, he does not quite have the reach of Forrest either.
Miller / Maynard will be interesting. I want to see if Gray choses to keep it standing or if he thinks he can successfully lay in Miller’s guard for 15 minutes. I would love to see Miller as a dog in this fight.
by ViolentMike on Feb 24, 2009 9:57 AM EST reply actions
NO worries! Rampage already won the fight. Rampage is an easy cat to figure out. when in shape and on top of his game, there is no 1 at LHW except maybe Machida and a well conditioned Shogun that can hang with him.
Its easy to tell when Rampage is in shape, because when he is out of shape, his face gets really noticeably fat. I got to see Rampage in London on Dana’s video blog and his face looks really slim. His face wasnt quite as shredded as it was when he fought Henderson (which IMO was the best shape he ever fought in)….but its close, and the event is getting really close.
Its no secret that at times Page lacks Focus…you cant be giving him 6 months or more in between fights. Too much time for him to party and get lazy. Smartest thing he could have ever done was not wait for Rashad and stay busy and take the Jardine fight. This way he stays in shape, stays focused in England instead of partying chuck liddell style in LA and Vegas!
An in shape Rampage is just way too much for Jardine.
Prediction: Jardine is going to throw a body Kick and Rampage is going to catch him with a punch! LIghts out! Bring on Rashad!

Good lord, Hamill, Grove, Sell and Vera on the same card. Could it get any worse than that. This will be the first UFC I wont pay for. Ive seen every UFC (all 95 of them) and this will be the one that ends the streak. What is Dana thinking, I dont usually complain about cards but this is the worst one I have ever seen. I have a hard time believeing that these 4 guys are still in the UFC. I just read the above posts, I guess Im not alone. Rampage is great and I love him but alone is not enough to carry a card.
by Spyder on Feb 24, 2009 10:36 AM EST reply actions
Everybodys saying this will be the worst ppv. I don’t know what your complaining for don’t buy it then! For one I will be watching because any of these fights could end up being good fights. Look at ufc 95 everybody dogged it and it was a good show. When you got rampage on a card you know it won’t be boring. Gonzaga and carwin will be a good fight carwins a beast but I think gonzaga will ko him. Overall im excited. War rampage bitch!

This card should be a Fight Night card not a PPV. Nate, I would suggest rushing the ring and get involved yourself. you would be on TV and get your 15 mins. of fame. I guarantee that some talk shows or news shows would want your story. other than that……man you got screwed.

The main event fight should be exciting but I can’t even get behind it knowing that if Jackson wins Lyoto will be getting robbed of a title shot. That’ll really be the second title shot Jackson would have he arguably didn’t/doesn’t deserve.

People who expect every month to be the best cards are babies…FACT IS UFC produce more consistent CARDS in the whole of MMA at the moment and give fans when the time is right a fight they want 2 see….Producing a Card every month with all Top fighters is very hard and thats why UFC is run the BEST WAY no doubt…UFC All the WAy

Grove and Vera on the undercard. If they don’t win they won’t even get that honor.

this card may not be as good as others but it’s still worth a watch. I love MMA FIGHTS not just how much fame you have gotten in the UFC. I don’t mind the main card. I mean the main fight is great. I think the shane carwin fight is going to determine number one or number two contender(if thats even one). IDC wut anyone says but pete sell can put on a show! I’m a fan of gray maynard not just becuase I love wrestling, but becuase he’s exciting, and i don’t care what anyone says becuase you can’t change my mind! Ohhhh and Matt hamill’s not all bad, like i said i luv wrestling….maybe it’s cuz i come from a wrestling background, who knows.

I personally find the page jardine match up a joke. Jardine has shown his glass jaw on more than one occasion. I think this fight produces a high-light KO for page. I hope that I’m wrong though.

all he need to do is bum rush jardine and the fight will be over in 10 seconds tops, he cant play into jardines game and let jardine have his distance because if he does that this fight might end in a huge shock to most people.

you all call it LNP,I think its the bottom guy is at fualt. The guy on the bottom(mostly bjj\guys)hold on to save their ass from getting GNP.So you pussy bjj guys better learn to wrestle or quit holding the guy on top like it your prom date during a slow song.
by durty kurty on Mar 7, 2009 8:41 PM EST reply actions
thats the most stupid thing i’ve heard!!i dont think anybody wants to get gnp well on your back!!i’m sure wrestlers even hold on to.it’s called controling posture.
by NM on Mar 7, 2009 8:55 PM EST up reply actions
Iam just tired of this talk about lnp.so your saying when the bottom guy does it its called “controling poster”So thats ok but if the top guy is controling the bottom guy people get upset and call lnp.Trust me I understand its part of the game, using both to help your chances of winning is just smart fighting .But to bag on one and not the other just let me no how dumb people or in this sport. That my point,Oh and it came from other people on this forums coments.Wrestler=LNP AND BJJ =controling poster. Not so stupid if you think about it NM.
by durty kurty on Mar 7, 2009 9:30 PM EST up reply actions
Durty Kurty, I’m guessing you’re a high school wrestler. Look, people don’t like LNP because it’s all some wrestlers do to try to win a decision. It’s boring. It has nothing to do with the guy on the bottom other than if the wrestler on top is good enough, there’s pretty much nothing the guy on the bottom can do but wait to be stood back up. IMO, the judges are only there in the event that no one is able to stop their opponent…I hate dudes that have no intention of stopping their opponent and just want to lay on them till the time runs out. They call themselves fighters then do everything to not actually have to fight.
by RedDog on Mar 8, 2009 12:04 AM EST up reply actions
red dog,I thought thats what bjj was for to fight of your back.I really dont think any fighter doesnt plan on not finishing fights. But if a guy can lnp to win that just tells me thats a weak way to win a fight, rightREDDOG?or does the guy who looses to a lnp exspecialy a bjj guy just suck bad.Oh and Iam from Iowa so ya I will allways take the wrestler over a bjj,but Im a die hard mma fan who enjoys the art of bjj, like mia he is a freak on the gruond.and i believe the wrestlers had a good night.and reddog i dont like to watch boring fights as well. And I wish I was still in highschool, since iam reaching the top of the mountain HAHA WAR ALL MMA FANS!!!
by durty kurty on Mar 8, 2009 12:40 AM EST up reply actions
Well, no, BJJ is not to fight off you’re back but to be able to use leverage and the opposition’s joints to your advantage. It happens to be useful at times off your back. If there was no BJJ, MMA would be dominated by LNPers. The mistake you’re making is blaming BJJ practitioners for not being able to stop LNP. If you think about it, good strikers need to know how to keep the fight standing to avoid LNP as well. See, LNP is a curse that inflicts strikers and submitters alike. LNP isn’t biased toward any style. Anyway, I’m glad you’re a fan of MMA so it’s kind of weird that you are also a defender of boring LNP.

It was obvious Jim was close to sinking in the sub if he had the opportunity it just never really presented itself this time. Still got mad respect for him and his bro though and he’ll be back to his winning ways next time out Im sure of it.

gonzo is a good takedown artist.. took down the cop, and normally takes down guys anyway. and Gonzo has pretty damn good power.
I give credit to Carwin for getting rocked, almost in bad position on the ground, then to get up and ko with one punch. Carwins is a fucking beast!

Why does Rampage get to have contact with his people after the commission does their thing?
by DSmith on Mar 7, 2009 11:54 PM EST reply actions
1st round, Jardine’s doing his job but Rampage is chasing him n’ closing the distance, I think it’s just a matter of time before Rampage catches him in a Flurry.
by Dave A on Mar 8, 2009 12:02 AM EST reply actions
Jardine knows its coming….getting KO’d by Rampage that is!
by Ca$z on Mar 8, 2009 12:03 AM EST reply actions
Too close, I see jardine getting to anxious to get into a punch off, he will lose if that continues
by rydinlow on Mar 8, 2009 12:03 AM EST reply actions
good flurry at the end by Jardine. this is a good fight. 1-1
by kevin on Mar 8, 2009 12:08 AM EST up reply actions
Jardine got Rampage tired, that’s Jardine’s game… 3rd rnd looks good for Jardine if he doesn’t get caught in a flurry
by Dave A on Mar 8, 2009 12:09 AM EST reply actions
Jardine’s a soulja. He took a big shot and came back well. I agree with Mattchupichu…2nd to Rampage. i hope i spelled that right, I’m drunk and that’s the hardest name to spell right now.
by Shadyone33 on Mar 8, 2009 12:09 AM EST reply actions
Rampage wins, but at least Jardine didn’t get Ko’d.
by Shadyone33 on Mar 8, 2009 12:14 AM EST reply actions
Rampage looks like the winner, but Jardine gave it his all, a respectable lost.
by Dave A on Mar 8, 2009 12:15 AM EST reply actions
Fuckin SH*T!!!!!!!!!! If not for that knock down, Jardine should have got the decision.
by JV on Mar 8, 2009 12:15 AM EST reply actions
Nope, peace out jardine, you lose, too many times you got rocked in that fight
by O damn he got caught on Mar 8, 2009 12:16 AM EST reply actions
I didn’t expect Jardine to look as tired as he did though, kinda surprised, must’ve taken a bit of punishment in there.
by Dave A on Mar 8, 2009 12:16 AM EST reply actions
I dunno but if Jackson shows up like that against Rashad game over, same goes for Machida.
by rydinlow on Mar 8, 2009 12:18 AM EST reply actions
First off, great fight.
Rashad’s tie looked gay, that’s how a 10 year old wears it
by kevin on Mar 8, 2009 12:20 AM EST reply actions
I lost my link what were the judges scores? 29-28?
by Ethan on Mar 8, 2009 12:21 AM EST reply actions
Rampage is gonna get that belt back, thats right, Rashad can gtfo, Rampage is taking that belt back, get in Rampages face and get boo’d for a reason you dumbass. Rashad loses; and I can’t wait, KNOCK HIM OUT QUINTON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
by O damn he got caught on Mar 8, 2009 12:21 AM EST reply actions
Please tell me someone got that talking recorded. You need to post that on here and keep it up top, that was awesome.
by rydinlow on Mar 8, 2009 12:21 AM EST reply actions
The trash talk for Evans vs Jackson will crazy and HILARIOUS!!!! Black on black crime indeed. Good stuff.
by DSmith on Mar 8, 2009 12:21 AM EST reply actions
Are you guys from North Dakota or something? You can hear the same s@#t talk at any after school fight.
by TapOutNow on Mar 8, 2009 12:35 AM EST up reply actions
That was a funny little conversation between jackson and rashad.
“I’m gonna dig in that ass.”
by Mattchupichu on Mar 8, 2009 12:22 AM EST reply actions
See that crazy smack talk between Rampage n’ Rashad! Rashad took it personal, gonna be a good fight, I see Rashad winning it though
by Dave A on Mar 8, 2009 12:22 AM EST reply actions
I thought Jardine won 1 and 3 and possibly 2.. and I had money on Rampage, so its not like I’m a Page hater
by Synyster on Mar 8, 2009 12:23 AM EST reply actions
I think when you watch it again you’ll see what really happened….and that was jardine getting rocked time and time again. No question on that decision right there.
by Ca$z on Mar 8, 2009 12:27 AM EST up reply actions
Might’ve been the stream I had and couldnt tell.. but I dont know..
by Synyster on Mar 8, 2009 12:31 AM EST up reply actions
i guess that was the best way for Jardine to lose though, I’m surprised that Page wasn’t able to put him away. I’ve said Jardine has a better chin than poeple give him credit for.
by Synyster on Mar 8, 2009 12:36 AM EST up reply actions
As evidenced by Houston Alexandder and Vanderleigh Silva beating the holy @%$^& out of him? Puhleaze….
by BigRedOne on Mar 8, 2009 3:22 AM EST up reply actions
“all im gonna say is that theres gonna be some more black on black crime”
by rich on Mar 8, 2009 12:23 AM EST reply actions
you should tell us more on the end results everyone is going to watch it over and over again anyway.
by Johnny Deeper on Mar 8, 2009 12:24 AM EST reply actions
He also took it personally that he, the champ, got booed. I’m glad. He is an arrogant prick. I hope Rampage beats his ass.
by Ethan on Mar 8, 2009 12:24 AM EST reply actions
Did you all hear the sigh of relief from Dana when Jardine got dropped at the end of the third? It set up the big money fight between Page and Evans. I gave Jardine the first and thought he was winning the third until the knock down.
Either way pretty close fight I think Cecil People’s 30-27 was way off.
by TapOutNow on Mar 8, 2009 12:26 AM EST reply actions
cecil peoples is notorious for terrible decisions.
by kitsunex on Mar 8, 2009 1:05 AM EST up reply actions
I know, by my GOD, that was inexcuseable!!!!!!!
by Shadyone33 on Mar 8, 2009 3:15 AM EST up reply actions
I also thought Jardine won the first, and possibly the 3rd, but no way the second. WHAT WERE THE SCORES???
by Ethan on Mar 8, 2009 12:26 AM EST reply actions
Two judges had it 29-28 Jackson and C. Peoples had it 30-27 Jackson.
by TapOutNow on Mar 8, 2009 12:29 AM EST up reply actions
I don’t know about the 30-27…That was BS!!!!!!!!!!!
by Shadyone33 on Mar 8, 2009 12:34 AM EST up reply actions
It was close and we all know that the UFC was building the Rashad vs. Rampage angle. In my opinion Jardine needed to win all 3 rds. or finish Rampage. I think Jardine did good as well. By the way, we all know my opinion means S***!!!!!!!!!!!
by Shadyone33 on Mar 8, 2009 12:47 AM EST up reply actions
Vera looks good but we all know he’s a front runner, I don’t question his ability to whoop a lesser talent, but I question his heart when it’s someone his equal, Jardine took it to him and most of the toughest top 205lbrs would.
by Dave A on Mar 8, 2009 12:28 AM EST reply actions
I don’t count vera out. He is getting used to the weight. Give him a few fights. He can be a contender if he goes for it. When he’s conservative he loses.
by Shadyone33 on Mar 8, 2009 12:37 AM EST up reply actions
Nope.com. Page was closer to finishing than Jardine. Page looks for the finish and Jardine was looking to win the decision. That’s what happens. You lose.

RAMPAGE RAMPAGE RAMPAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
by O damn he got caught on Mar 8, 2009 12:31 AM EST reply actions
shut up Brandon, I’ll believe yr back when u beat someone that can reach your chin… reach yr chin n’ taking your heart out of the fight will follow.
by Dave A on Mar 8, 2009 12:32 AM EST reply actions
Vera looked the best he ever has. He looked hungry and I’m glad he is taking his job seriously. Maybe now he’ll be worth the money. Looks likes someone else just lost their job though.
by DSmith on Mar 8, 2009 12:34 AM EST reply actions
Yeah the unemployment rate should go up for that guy.
by Mattchupichu on Mar 8, 2009 12:37 AM EST up reply actions
why do u always hate on vera? his kicks looked sick! give the guy some credit he looke to be very motivated now!
by matthew on Mar 8, 2009 12:43 AM EST up reply actions
I dont “hate” on know one. I couldnt stand the excuses for everything. But what Im saying is the truth. It easy to look motivated and good with a D-Level fighter! If it was Chuck and that guy would you say Chuck is back?
by JV on Mar 8, 2009 12:48 AM EST up reply actions
That’s exactly right, the guy was a human punching bag for Vera, it was like Varsity against a JV guy, hardly a test for a UFC veteran that was once a championship level contender, I don’t know why some of u guys are so impressed.
by Dave A on Mar 8, 2009 12:46 AM EST up reply actions
Lol… we always seem to bag’ on the same fighters for the exact same reason after these cards… Vera always falls short when’s there’s adversity, I swear I can see quit in him pour out at times. He was so pumped up after he beat that nobody, it just made me sick.
by Dave A on Mar 8, 2009 1:01 AM EST up reply actions
Yeah the other dude was a marshmallow BUT Vera is in shape. His striking was sharp and reminiscent of the Brandon we saw when he first got into the UFC. And you have never seen Vera stalk an opponent down and have that look in his eye. He was serious tonight nobody or not.
by DSmith on Mar 8, 2009 12:49 AM EST up reply actions
Answer me this, if it was Chuck vs the same guy would you be saying Chuck looked sharp and in shape?
by JV on Mar 8, 2009 1:00 AM EST up reply actions
My point has nothing to do with the no name marshmallow dude. That’s not my point at all. I’m not comparing him to his opponent tonight. I’m comparing him to the Brandon Vera I’ve seen in his last 4 fights. The Brandon Vera I saw tonight is an improvement from the dude that showed up for Jardine, Werdum, Andy and Sylva.
by DSmith on Mar 8, 2009 1:08 AM EST up reply actions
It’s not Vera’s skills that are in question it’s his ‘HEART’… when Vera faces tough fighter’s and a lot of adversity he can’t handle getting hit n’ he folds like a house of cards.
by Dave A on Mar 8, 2009 1:13 AM EST up reply actions
I don’t remember seeing him “fold like a house of cards” or not being able to handle being hit. He has looked like he couldn’t pull the trigger (like in the Jardine and Andy fights). In those fights I felt like he could have finished the fight but just didn’t. This Vera looks like he could pull the trigger. We’ll see, time will tell.
by DSmith on Mar 8, 2009 1:23 AM EST up reply actions
Again Dave, I agree! DSmith Ofcourse Vera’s got skills. But those skills go out the window when hes faced good competition. And then the excuses just start flowing.
by JV on Mar 8, 2009 1:24 AM EST up reply actions
DSmith, Vera not pulling the trigger was because he was getting hit n’ did not want to mix it up for fear of getting KO’d… he was behind in fights, knew he was behind yet would not mix it up… He’s a front runner, I swear I can see it in his face when he mentally quits.
by Dave A on Mar 8, 2009 1:56 AM EST up reply actions
I have to say, I think that Rashad will outpoint Rampage. Let the record show that I’m the first to say it. He’ll take him down constantly.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

by Shadyone33 on Mar 8, 2009 12:43 AM EST reply actions
yea you’re the first person on this site ever to say that…groundbreaking…a discussion of what would take place between these two if they fought has never been discussed on this site…dang we should have thought of that by now…oh wait we did…way back in december when rashad won the belt
by HellaHectic on Mar 8, 2009 12:53 AM EST up reply actions
Hahaha……I dont’ know if you’re making fun of me because I’m drunk but you just watch. If that was a focused Rampage, he doesn’t stand a chance against Rashad.
by Shadyone33 on Mar 8, 2009 3:17 AM EST up reply actions
yea vera looked good, they need to book him and hammil…that would be a great fight for both guys…
jardine/page was a great fight….keith definantly won round 2, page def won round 2, even round 3 till the knock down at the end..but overall great fight by both guys…
not a page hater but if that same page shows up against hes gonna have a long night trying to keep pace with shad…keith just looked slow and sluggish and so did page…and shad is just so fast…
but this fight is goin to be freaking amazing…the talk up for it will be just as good as the fight itself…
biggest statement of the night “CARWIN IS FOR REAL” 69 seconds disposing of gonzaga…dude was able to end the fight with one punch when he was rocked himself…you know you’re a badass when your eyes are almost in the back of your head and you’re still able to knock the other guy nearly unconcious with one punch…
so many people hated on the card tonight yet there were some great fights…
i hate faggots like that…every ppv theres always people on this site who whine like little bitches “this card is so terrible blah blah im a whiney little cunt who lives in my mommy’s basement eating chips in my underwear screaming in my xbox mic eating chips cause no girl wants to talk to me cause i cant turn off my computer games long enough to interact with females and jerking off to pics of fedor and bj penn”
fucking losers..
this was a great card
by HellaHectic on Mar 8, 2009 12:48 AM EST reply actions
I doubt that, Rampage is much bigger than Rashad. He’ll have to work a lot harder for a take down than you think. One more thing, If Rashad comes in light, like 205 to 210, he’ll be giving up like 15 pounds the night of the fight.
by Parks1 on Mar 8, 2009 12:55 AM EST reply actions
this card was great. everyone who cried should shut their pieholes. carwin is legit, massive bombs to the face, busty nose, rally for right hand murder, amazing. ramp will rip that belt off rashads bloody corpse, jardine was too bizarre to finish, but he certainly got pumped. and what the living hell was yves lavigne doing. he was my favorite ref until this. and then he lost his frickin mind. brown was on fire and he still couldnt believe that he still had to hit mis-shapen head sell. very close to fireable for that nonsense. otherwise. i hate you shane nelson. and kendall grove. but then i guess somebody other than joe lauzon has to actually train in hilo.
beer.
out.
