Strikeforce tickets for 'Shamrock vs Diaz' at the HP Pavillion on April 11

Tickets for Strikeforce: "Shamrock vs. Diaz" at the HP Pavilion in San Jose, Calif., will be available to the public beginning on Monday, Feb. 23 at 10 a.m. ET.
The event will mark the first show of 2009 for the promotion, as well as its first since acquiring select assets from the now defunct Pro Elite and inking a new deal with the premium cable network Showtime to air up to 16 live shows this year.
Tickets are sure to go fast when they are made available to the public, but if you're a Strikeforce Insider you can secure your seats early via a pre sale on Ticketmaster.com up until midnight on Sunday, Feb. 22.
Headlining the blockbuster event will be a match-up between former Strikeforce middleweight champion Frank Shamrock and former Elite XC lightweight number one contender Nick Diaz meeting at a catch weight of 179 pounds.
Several of the promotion's other top fighters will be in action on the card, too. Here's the full lineup of what's been made official by Strikeforce so far:
Main event:
Frank Shamrock (23-9-2) vs. Nick Diaz (18-7)
Main card (Televised):
170 lbs.: Jake Shields (22-4-1) vs. Joe "Diesel" Riggs (29-10)
155 lbs.: Lightweight Champion Josh "The Punk" Thomson (16-2) vs. TBA
155 lbs.: Gilbert "El Nino" Melendez (14-2) vs.
185 lbs.: Scott "Hands of Steel" Smith (14-5) vs. Benji "Razor" Radach (19-4)

What’s up with Riggs back at 170? I thought he was still back up at 185. Hope he makes the weight ok.

Agreed. Also they should get Ishida for Thomson and S. Kaufman for cyborg.

Seems a bit unfair on Diaz. Shammy will is way bigger but we’ll see. I reckon Shammy is pissed that Cung wants to pursue movies (think I heard that, could be wrong). I think he thought they could do a trilogy if he lost the first but that doesn’t look like happening now.

Yeah, it would be huge. They’re crazy dudes and they make me laugh. Have a look at Mayhem interviewing Diaz rant. It’s hilarious.

I agrre with your comment. Pound for pound the diaz brothers got all the heart. Ive never seen nick get beat up. I’ve seen him get screwed out of decision but never beat up. He might loose but will give a good show….

Im excited about Scott Smith VS Benji Radach
I was able to speak with Radach and I see some mean ground and pound on Smith. They both hit very hard but Radach has superior wrestling.
