WTF!!! He looks so weird and fat? too much makeup? I guess this was what El Mexi was talking about. Still one the best though.

He definitely looked odd. And he said he tweaked his “rear leg” before the Aoki fight. I’m not quite sure what that means.

to many excuses for my liking, i like alvarez a lot, but he shouldnt have took the fight if he is going to make excuses
by mmafighter11 on Feb 19, 2009 10:16 PM EST reply actions
How is he making excuses? Bas asked a specific question about the injury and all on his own pointed out that it lingers in the back of a fighters head during a match. Bas led everything about that portion of the segment. An excuse would have been if Bas asked why Eddie thought he lost and Eddie responding that he lost due to the injury.
Maybe it’s my background in Communications that helps me digest info clearly because I see too many posts like these. Where it seems like someone was only half-listening to the audio or only read the 1st paragraph on the article before commenting.

Now that Aoki could be coming to Strikeforce, it’ll be very interesting to see how and if he’s forced to change his style without his magic submission pants.
very funny..i cant believe their really having it as an issue at BE..cool

Yeah Aoki is supposed to be in the DREAM WW tourny. I haven’t heard anything about him going to strikeforce.

It’s no secret Aoki’s my favorite 155’er but I’m concerned about him fighting at 170. He’s frail even for 155 and he won’t be able to pack on a large amount of muscle between now and the tourney. I’m afraid he’ll be undersized at WW. Luckily he’s got one heckuva equalizer with his phenomenal BJJ but a much stronger opponent will be able to power out of some sub attempts. Of course my boy can win but it may be a tough road for him. Plus the heavier the guys are, the harder they hit and Shinya’s stand-up needs much improving. Despite all that, I say Aoki definitely makes the finals and may even win this thing.
