Pretty funny. I would have to give Shaq more than just a puncher’s chance against Robbie Lawler.

The point about adding an extra half a point to the 10-must scoring system is a god idea. Even if a fighter loses a round 10-9.5, those 9.5’s could end up adding up to a win. this will help eliminate guys winning a fight by taking their opponent down at the end of a close round!

I’d love to see Ted Danson vs Bob Saget.

the 4th judge should be a crowd vote, on a crowd loud meter. jk.

Shaq would get embarassed. I have this argument with my friends all the time, too. The whole MMA vs Navy Seal vs NFL player and so on. The trained fighter takes it 99 percent of the time.

Military special forces like SealS, Rangers, the elite Marines, etc. are trained to kill, not score points.
And basketball players are terrible fighters. They have such long arms that anyone can see the punches coming from a mile away, because they are coming from a mile away.

I know what the special forces train for. I was training to enter buds for 6 months and was disappointed to find out right before leaving that I have a slight color vision defficiency. They are no doubt beasts, but one on one with no weapons, Seals can’t hang with pro fighters. Chuck has proved that.

Yes, they train to kill, but with WEAPONS. Sure they get some hand to hand combat training, but not too much because it is pointless. They train to win wars, and you aren’t gonna win a war with Muay Thai and BJJ.

Football is about scoring points. Boxing is about scoring points. Baseball is about scoring points. Mixed Martial Arts is about Finishing Your Opponent.

In a ring maybe, put Chuck vs. a special forces green beret in a life or death situation with no gloves and Chuck isn’t making it home for dinner.

No, in a battle zone Chuck gets killed. In a street fight, Chuck eats his soul. I have lost count on how many friends I have that have been or are currently in the military, and the only ones who can fight any better are the ones who could fight well in the first place.

Pointless argument but I would definitely disagree. I know plenty of people in the military as well, and none of them could whoop Chuck. I have a family member that trains special forces troops in hand to hand combat and I can guarantee you in a life and death situation one guy walks away and it’s not Chuck. Maybe if they have to adhere to MMA rules in an all out fight, but he isn’t beating them in an anything goes fight. You just don’t know man.

That guy Ben Saunders wrecked on the Fight for the Troops card last December was a Navy Seal.

I read somewhere before the start of last season in the NBA that shaq was doing MMA workouts and training for conditioning to lose some weight.
That being said, Lawler would submit one of those mammoth legs.

dude did BJJ a long time ago, like 1999 or 2000. I don’t know if he’s continued with it or not

Shaq via being slightly less goofy and way bigger.
Lebron via flying knee.
Rick Ross via cardio(I know, Ricky’s a fat guy too, but not as fat).
Obama via not being a dick in the ass, cave dwelling, anorexic looking, coward-getting-other-people-to-do-my-dirty-work-BITCH.
A-Rod via roid rage.
Ray Lewis via death
Stephan Curry via not being a woman beater(any dude that hits women only does it because he can’t whoop ANY guy). Plus Stephan has probably 6 inches and 50 lbs on him. All this goes out the window if it’s a dance off of course.

I got Shaq in this one. Can Robbie even punch that high?
It’s not like Lawler is a world-renound ground fighter or anything…

Lawler wouldn’t have to reach his chin. One shot in the liver and it would be Timber!
