Denis Kang to return at UFC 97 against Xavier Foupa-Pokum

Hopefully Kang gets the win here. I love to see him fight and now the UFC jitters are hopefully over he can go on a tear up the ranks.

We all know he was winning the belcher fight. If I have a criticism it is he does make the odd random drastic mistake which ends up losing him the fight. I cant remember ever seeing him get walked over and ussually looks v.good in all his losses too…if that makes sense.

A focused Kang should have this one in the bag.

Prof X via exciting finish at least for the sake of french MMA. Him, Cyrille and Kongo have done big things to it legalized over there. Always gotta give props to guys helping take this thing to all corners of the world.

I say that having the last name Foupa-Pokum would’ve been a nightmare growing up.

I’d like to see Jones/Forest…it may seem to be a big jump from Bonnar to Forest but I don’t think it would matter…thoughts?

ufc wont put forrest in a position to fight a relatively unknown guy when they have money matchups with forrest as co-main event, chuck,jardine,rampage,machida,thiago silva. all potential money making fights for forrest’s return where if forrest would lose hes still not gonna drop to far down

He can’t stand Forrest; doesn’t mean John doesn’t know what he’s talkin about, there’s plenty of good fighters that I don’t have anything good to say about; ie: Machida. Besides, when’s the last time you brought any news to the table before it was posted on mania??

I also think Griffin is overrated, I think he beat a gimpy Shogun and a not in his right mind/out of shape Rampage. 1 pump chump gets TKO’d by the next guy to challenge for the belt. Thats just my opinion though; I know the guy has fans, I’m just not one of them.

Get over the fight finishing complaint! How many boring fights has Forrest been in? In his UFC career, only 1 – Hector Ramirez. For a guy with as many fights as he’s had, not many guys can say that. He works as hard or harder than anyone else in MMA despite not being the most naturally gifted individual. I’ll take that over talent and no work ethic any day.

Only thing good I have to say about Forrest is that he is a hard worker, he has heart and he implements game plans really well. I dont care much for his skill set!

Defend your title, better yet Finish a fight, and maybe I will show him some love!

That Shogun crap is getting Old BW! Shogun is one of my favorites, but he was in worst shape for the Forrest fight then he was for the coleman fight. at least he had an acl in the coleman fight….and all you did after the coleman fight was bash Shogun’s winning performance….saying how terrible he looked, but whenever I talk bad about Forrets, u start blowing him and talking about how you were impressed with his performance against Shogun. Get real!

If you arent impressed with his winning performance against Coleman, how can you be impressed by him finishing Shogun, when he was in much worst shape against Forrest then he was in the shogun fight.

I wasn’t talking about you guys. I have liked Belcher ever since he put the goats vagaina on Kalib’s head. :) I picked him to win, but I am absolutly positive Kang did some damage, judging by the way Alan was talking in his post fight interview.

lol Kang just made a stupid amateur mistake like he loves to do… he was dominating that fight up until the point he went for that take down… belcher really had nothing for him until then, you cant disagree with that, he takes the rematch 9/10 times

Brendan knows the truth. He owned Belcher until he gave him his neck. It was his first fight in the UFC and the nerves must be a lot to deal with and it drains a lot of fighters. Especially the ones who are highly touted and are expected to perform.

Besides the other losses were to Akiyama, Misaki and Mousassi. No shame in that and he never gets beaten up he just makes a silly mistake.

Kang is a very good fighter, who like Ca4Z pointed out usually loses due to a silly mistake, but his recent losses (besides Belcher “the self proclaimed title contender” lmao) have all come to great fighters. NO shame in that, I promise he will be a great addition to the UFC’s middleweight division!
