UFC Quick Quote: Nate Diaz feels like he whooped Clay Guida's ass

"I know I lost the decision in the minds of the judges but I really felt I was whooping his ass the whole fight and he was just holding me. Before the fight people were asking me about his pace and if I would be able to keep up with it. I felt he couldn't keep up with my pace and that's why he was trying to slow things down by holding on and not trying anything. I even gave him my back so he would try to do something besides hugging me. A couple of times I looked at the ref to ask him if he wanted us to fight or what? Sorry I didn't listen to my corner and stand with him more but I never thought he would be so happy to just stall like that."
-- The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 5 winner Nate Diaz releases a statement via GracieFighter.com on his split decision loss to Clay Guida at UFC 94: "St. Pierre vs. Penn 2" this past weekend. It was his first loss inside the Octagon in six attempts since winning the show. It snapped a five-fight win streak and temporarily derailed his chances at a division title shot, which could have possibly been within reach with a few more impressive wins. The good news is that the fighter out of Stockton, Calif., is just 23 years old. In the grand scheme of things the loss to Guida seems like a minor speed bump; however, it appears to be tough to swallow nonetheless. He and Guida each earned $65,000 bonuses for putting on the "Fight of the Night."

It seemed like Guida was content on just being in control but not doing anything. I’m not a huge fan of Nate but I got to agree with him. Guida just wanted to hold him until the end of the round/fight. In my eyes, that’s not winning a fight. All that is, is saying I can hold you here, so do what you can. Clay “Huggie Bear” Guida. Even when Guida was on Nate’s back not doing anything, I thought the ref should have seperated them. I was a fan of Guida’s but not so much after that fight.

I’m not a huge Diaz bros fan either but I can’t stand Clay “Geico” Guida. Has he ever finshed a fight in the UFC? He doesn’t go in there to actually fight. He just grabs people and keeps them from fighting. I’m glad Huerta knocked his caveman _ss out.

I really feel like I said enough in regards to Huggie Bear Guida. In an event that I should have walked away most impressed with the outcome of Penn/GSP, I will instead forever remember this event for Machida awesome buzzer-beater KO of Silva and also for Huggie Bear’s MOCKERY of MMA. Guida must have thought that he was supposed to be the fluffer for a gay porn.
Nate wanted to fight. Huggie Bear didn’t. Decision should have gone to Nate. Guida’s fights WERE exciting when he first came to the UFC, however I’m starting to think that his opponents were more than half the reason for the fight to be exciting, because the last few fights, we have seen nothing but hugs and dry humps from Huggie Bear. And I was a fan of Guida’s when he first came to the UFC…

He gave it fight of the night because he felt Nate should have gotten the decision thus more money. And the drunken crowd loved Guida so why not give him a bonus too. Total BS, but that’s entertainment for ya.

i felt this fight was a very entertaining bout.
im not sure what fight u guys were watching??
guida is not a boring fighter~ and he did not just hold on to my boy!
what about that huge slam? what about the knees from the clinch?
~takedowns?
~elbows?? his crazy pace? and willingness to keep a fast pace??
imo~ guida is a scrappy fighter~ who usually delivers an entertaining fight.
diaz was the one initiating the clinch!
if nate was thinking straght? he would have stood and boxed.
i cant believe nate clinched as much as he did.
nate just ended up in a clinch catching knee’s.
and when nate got his judo throw?
guida would just reverse the position..
bottom line is nate should have kept a gap, and boxed clay all night.
nate is better then that! he is better then guida!
i give clay guida respect for taking nate out of his zone.
he fully made nate fight a guida fight..
i think nate could beat guida 9 out of 10 times.
last weekend was the one time..
clay desreved the nod! and nate deserves to go back and think about what happened.
come back stronger and smarter… war diaz!!
war (lightweight) bj!!

Stinks, what did you watch? I could pick that post apart if I was motivated or had the time…
I’ll just pick this one of many – “and when nate got his judo throw? guida would just reverse the position..”
Ok, when Nate did his “judo throws” he was doing so because Huggie Bear was trying to hump the side/rear of Nate’s thigh. Clay was SUPER CONTENT to just stand there and hold onto Nate because according to him, that is a dominant position and he was scoring points (watch the ESPN post fight thing). Clay was holding onto Nate’s back whenever Nate threw him to the ground and Guida simply held on – so of course he still had Nate’s back – Nate was trying to make something, anything happen. Clay did NOT reverse the throws.
ALso, “his crazy pace? and willingness to keep a fast pace??” Are you F’ing kidding me???
Credibility = -10 points

OOOPS. My appologies. I rererred to Huggie Bear as “Guida” and even “Clay” in my above post. Since coining the new nickname of “Huggie Bear” I vowed to never call him anything but. And for that, I appologize.

vm~ dont let ur biased oppinion on the fight reflect what u saw.
i am a big diaz fan. i practically grew up with him.
nate was initiating the clinch~ and he himself will admit that.
he knew he couldnt get clay off him~ yet he still got close
enough for huggie bear to work his magic..
~nates fault! not huggies!
nate should have just kept a gap~ and ko’d guida.
he let guida imply his gameplan and didnt stick to boxing.
~nates fault!
like i said above~ nate would beat huggie 9 out of 10 times.
imo~ guida has a crazy pace(no kidding)
i also thought guidas performance was very entertaining!
-as a beting man~ i tend to view fights as i see it.
i dont let my favorite fighters cloud my head to see different.
~guida did more then just hug nate.
u must have missed the donky kong slam and all the knees.
or u see nates ‘judo throw’ land, but have no effect on huggie~
and u choose to give nate the points for the take~down??
maybe u can get some time to explain ur opinion another day.
vm cred~ -11 points on account of biased opinion.

O damn – I totally agree about Jones-Bonnar! When watching the main card I thought it was a no brainer for fight of the night. Even though it was pretty one-sided, Jones has the most exciting takedowns in MMA. He threw Bonnar to the ground in about 5 different ways. I thought they clearly earned fight of the night, and I can’t wait to see Jones in action again. I say match him up against Thiago Silva and lets see what he can do.
by GregC on Feb 4, 2009 1:31 PM EST up reply actions
I consider them in a neutral stalling position and fault Clay. Nate may have clinched a couple times when he should have kept the distance and jabbed away. I have never seen a fighter take another fighters back and DO NOTHING, it was pretty crazy to see. Can you imagine Nate having Huggie Bear’s back for 8 minutes of a fight and him doing nothing?? Never. Huggie would have been unconcious for 8 minutes and 40 seconds of that time.
And YES, I am biased toward Nate, but like my brother pointed out while watching the fight “Mike, Dont you always root for Guida” although, he knew off the bat I’d be rooting for Diaz, but the fact is that I have rooted for Huggie in everyone of his fights except for his previous fight vs Danzig. I had money on Danzig, so that is another story and probably subliminaly adds to my new found hate for Huggie.
And if I ever become a PAID member of the sports media, then I will have to leave my biases aside. BUT, since this is a blog that I have no official affilation to, I can say whatever I want and be as biased as I want…
And Stink, sorry if we kinda butted heads today, we usually see eye to eye and I enjoy your posts, but I must say that you were the ONLY person I saw that had that opinion of the fight. Well, only a handfull of people. I’d say at least 90% of the people on mania would be on me and the Huggie Bear side of the story on this one (as you can see, my nickname has been sticking!!)
Have you looked at the lines for fight night yet??? So far I got $60 on Cain to win $10 (today he dropped to -550…) and a small parlay on Lauzon and Cain because Joe dropped to -185 from -200. I also like Batman as a straight bet, and he moved from -200 to -210. I hate Emerson, and he has like a 500 record, but sometimes he pulls a great performance out of no where…

Diaz came to fight and didn’t suck at all. Any chance he had he was going for subs or trying to beat on clay with the patented Diaz style of striking.
My only criticism is that he kept engaging in the clinch, maybe only to work his way to subbing Guida but all Guida wanted to do was show Nate how much he loved him with hugs galore!
Nate is still the winner in my eyes.
by Ca$z on Feb 4, 2009 4:28 AM EST up reply actions
Absolutely Ca$Z!!!!! Nate won that fight! Why? cause its a FIGHT and he is the only one who inflicted DAMAGE….PERIOD!!!!! Ol’ Huggie Bear Guida is a bitch who was just holding on for dear life. did he even throw a punch?
Its a travesty that a fighter can get the crap beat out of him but win the fight by hugging his way to a win.
Judging system needs to change!
I dont care how great huggie Bears future opponents are, I do not want to see him on the main card of a ppv. 2 fights in a row, he hugged his way to a win. Money is tight these days, and I am done paying $45 to watch Guida act like a bitch. He comes out all hype, jumping around, acting like an animal, and then he fights like a Bitch!
I am too much of a fan, to boycott the UFC completely, but I will NEVER pay money to watch a ppv with guida on the main card. If he is on the main card, I will just go watch it at aq bar or on the computer!
I am about to start a petition, asking the UFC to NEVER again put him on the main card. Im also sick of rogan talkinag bout what an exciting fighter he is! I didnt see him fight! He by far is the biggest dry humper in the UFC. His performances make me feel bad about ever bashing sherk. Guida makes Sherk look like wanderlei!

Right on the money, John. They should bury Guida on the undercards so he will never see the light of day unless he exactly comes to fight and finishes so it will fit into a broadcast.
Only thing is you said two fights in a row. Three. Go back now and re-watch that fight with Huerta now. You will see that pattern more evidently. Guida was getting pisspumped on the feet and would have to take Huerta down to avoid more damage. Huerta would reverse get up to the feet, and swing for the fences. The sad thing is people, judges included, had Clay winning that fight on merit of those takedowns. That was even before he landed the ONE shot that hurt Huerta while he was on his knees. Bottom line, Guida needs to go away.

John you need to relax, i see some of your posts man and they make me feel like you are gonna have a heart attack one of these days, and ill admit that wasnt his most impressive fight, but Clay Guida is arguably the classiest guy in the UFC, and he has stayed active in every on of his UFC fights except that one, Griffin, aurelio, Din Thomas, Roger Huerta, schiavo, and yes even mac danzig, so ease up on the guy, with the exception of his last fight he is one of the most exciting fighters in the UFC, now John ive read a lot of your posts and its clear you know what your are talking about, but you need to ease up a bit bro

I agree and this fight wasnt even watching two good technicians reversing postitions…..basically ol huggie fag held him because he is a lot shorter than nate so he can push his shoulders into nates center….and in reality he didnt even do anything but hold him… so lets just say he won octagon controll… but thats it he lost in punches he lost in submission attempts he lost in kicks he lost in reversals he lost in knees so how the hell did he win this fight. fucking dumb ass judges always thinking a take down is a point but its not hello there is something called ju jistu where guy purposely pull gaurd.. main point they need to have guys like randy couture and other mma elite start scoring the bout.. this is just gonna keep happening. and what i find most ridiculas about huggie bear is that he talks about face pace and exciting and comes in to the cage all jumping and yelling and running around like a fucking care bear trying to spread his care faggetry then the bell rings and he clinches and thats it no attempts for anything no attempts i repeat no attempts for anything. and if you look at technquie wise those judo throws should have gotten nate way more points then a take down fuck i wanna fight guiida but im 6’2 210 and if he tried to hug me ill fucking toss his little ass out the octagon.

do you guys think this is a worthy petition, or did I just wake up on the wrong side of the bed today?
I just read an interview with Hermes Franca. He talked about making sure he is 100% healthy before returning to training because he doesnt want to get hurt again like Shogun did trying to get back to soon.
He was asked, who does he want to fight the most and he said he was dying to get a rematch with Sherk!

I dunno john. Some of those guys are rather boring, but Matt Hamil is the only one of those who actually finishes fights. And I like Gray Maynard.

by Scott on Feb 3, 2009 11:55 PM EST reply actions
ya if u look at the fight again Guida only got maybe one takedown really cause the rest were either Nate pulling guard or Nate instantly stood up and not once did he do any ground and pound damage or come close to passing guard. They really need to have a completely different scoring system and not use a boxing scoring system. I mean when one guy clearly demonstrates better striking and grapling but the other just hugs him and goes for takedowns the entire fight and can’t ever get him to the ground and do anything with it and the later wins I think there is serious flaw in the scoring system. Nate dominated the standup for at least 2 minutes in the first and another 2.5 – 3 in the third and Guida spent the other 10 minutes hugging Nate doing 0 damage and he gets the decision?

i lost a little repect for guida after this fight. he used to be the of the most exciting fighters in mma. now he just seems desperate to eek out wins. he will never have a chance at being a champion, but i think nate still does. i can remember someone accusing a fighter of using a “standing blanket”. i was like, “lol, there’s no such thing”. now i know different, clay made me a believer in the “standng blanket”.
by b.w. on Feb 4, 2009 12:06 AM EST reply actions
That’s exactly what I thought b.w. Clay may have solidified his legacy as the originator of the stand-and-pray technique, but by the current flawed UFC rules Clay did win the fight by controlling it. Otherwise, it may have been a draw since neither of them did much damage. I think that decisions should be based primarily on which fighter tries hardest to avoid leaving the fight to the judges.
by BigFatManiac on Feb 4, 2009 12:23 AM EST up reply actions
i think alot of it falls on the ref as well. they stand fighters up when the top fighter is not trying to improve his position. the same should be done when the fight is standing. just because guida had his back standing, doesn’t mean he was in a dominant position, he was just trying to hold on for dear life.
by b.w. on Feb 4, 2009 1:08 AM EST up reply actions
Exactly. I was screaming for the ref to break them up. You could tell it was all deliberate on Clay’s part cos as soon as he was looking like he was ONLY grabbing on he threw a weak knee or punch and then carry on grabbing. I mean it Diaz that was going for most of the take downs to get Clay ‘The Leech’ Guida off his back.
by Ca$z on Feb 4, 2009 5:52 AM EST up reply actions
I hope to never see guida fight again! I am dead serious!
Nate is an idiot for clinching with him! WTF was he thinking? He could have picked him apart with his boxing and reach the entire fight! Every stand up exchange was dominated by Diaz. I know Nate’s bread n butter is his Jits, but he needs to understand that he doesnt need to use it in every one of his fights. Nate will have the reach over most lightweights….Utilize that REACH, especially against inferior strikers!
He was beating Clay’s ass in the stand up in the 1st round until Nate cl;inched and let Guida hug him to death!
In the 3rd round, diaz was abusing Clay… He was another combo or 2 away from a KO win, and then he clinches? Nate did deserve to win the decision, but had he fought a smarter fight, I honestly believe he could have put Clay away and we wouldnt even be talking about this!

nate was easily winning the stand up and in the third round had him hurt and instead of pouring on with the punches he decided to shoot in and try to take him down and we all know nate has bad takedows, i think nate could have finished the fight in the third if he kepts throwing punches in bunches he was hurting guida with the body shots. all guida did was hug him and keep nate from doing anything offensive and it resulted in a somewhat boring fight. but i think nate has a bright future and that guida will never be more than a gatekeeper as he will never be able to beat any of the top guys

Nate is a better fighter than Guida. Everytime Diaz fights you see improvement but in Guida you just see the same thing over and over. Clay’s striking is terrible and all he has is wrestling. The only downfall Diaz has is his wrestling skills other than that he has good boxing, judo throws, and excellent jiu-jitsu.

I dont like Nate that much but I found mysefl rooting for him to beat Guida…Guida was plainly just hugging him and boring he wouldnt even throw punches to the ear or anywhere else when he had his back!!…and Guida says he made a “Statement”…whatever that performance was boring and lackluster…how does he plan to fight a top notch guy??

i guess i am still the only guida fan left after that fight, LOL.
Yes, it was a boring fight but i think thats because both have great skills individually, and that nullified many aspects.
Tho as i think about it, many of my favorites are simply strong wrestlers (i have a wrestling background) ie: Sherk, Guida, Tito, Randy, Brock, Fitch, KOS, and even tho GSP does NOT have a standard wrestling background he is widely considered the best in the UFC.
WAR Tito, BJ, GSP, Sherk, Wandy, Franklin, Lesnar and the STEELERS!

Diaz knows there are ways to break a bear hug right? all he did was flop around, give up his back and then get slammed on his head. If he was the “better” fighter he should have known that was guidas game plan and had counters for his style. Instead he got controlled the whole fight and lost the decision.

Guida is like a pest, thats how he fights..He is like a little nat that keeps flying around you annoyingly..Nate should have kept the fight standing, utilize your reach advantage..He was peppering Guida up with some nice shots..Guida has never been an exciting fighter, he just has a constant pace that wears people out..Gilbert Melendez is a more exciting fighter and he beat Guida, Melendez should be in the UFC..Guida will never be a champion haha..Frankie Edgar would murk his caveman ass..I never look forward to seeing Guida’s fights let alone his goon brother cornering him.

I don’t care what anyone says, I like Nate Diaz. I thought he won the second two rounds. I thought Guida was going to pressure him a lot more in this fight. It’s an understandable decision for Guida, no big deal, but it doesn’t lower Diaz’s stock at all. He’s a fun fighter to watch. In a couple years he’s gonna be sick if he keeps improving and adds some muscle.

And the Diaz brothers have a great patent on the arms raised in the air taunt boxing.
Remember when Nick pulled that on Robbie Lawler and then KO’d him later in the fight?
by revjames13 on Feb 4, 2009 2:03 AM EST reply actions
One of my favourite fights that one. Just seeing Nate fight reminds me so much of Nick and his crazy antics. There style is all their own with original boxing and great BJJ skills.
Even if you dont like the Diaz attitude (which I don’t mind) you gotta respect the style.

Absolutely! All fighters are super respectful now a days…. I kind of like the Diaz brothers bad boy image. Its refreshing! I would hate the sport if all fighters acted the way they do, but a few fighters acting that way adds a little spice…I dont mind it at all!
U absolutely have to respect their style, their willing to fight anyone attitude and their skill set is very impressive!

Nate Diaz is better than Guida. Fights should be judged on who had the other person in the most danger (damage + close submission attempts). If fights went on forever those are the two things that would eventually decide them usually.

I had no idea this place had so many crybaby Nate Diaz fans, because only someone who can’t accept reality would think that Nate did anything to Clay. I must have missed all of those punishing and devestating punches that Diaz landed on Clay that had him close to going to sleep. It’s pretty pathetic that guys can’t accept when Guida imposses his will on his opponent and they can’t do a damn thing about it. It reminds me of the people who cry about guys taking them down, if you let a guy do whatever he wants to you then you lost the fight just like Nate did.
by EJ on Feb 4, 2009 4:44 AM EST reply actions
Totally agree. Clay is not a gifted fighter so he does what he can. Nate Diaz and all you nuthuggers say Nate won the fight. Dana would say “who the f@#$ are you?” That is his style. Nate knew it, trained for it, was supposed to be ready for it, but alas he had no answer. Tell you what get a petition started and maybe you can overturn the decision. No wait I got it. I just seen video where Clay’s corner was rubbing glue all over him in between rounds. Wow! I can’t believe it.

I felt like Nate won the first round and the third was about even. There was too much holding going on. Nate did the kimura toss 2 or 3 times but clay would not let go. In the stand up nate was winning. Let them fight again is what I say.

HOw can you give nate any points for those tosses? It’s a technique used to get your opponent off your back, and not one of those tosses got diaz out of the dominant position Guida had. Whoo, and what 1st round did you see? If you were drinking, I would recommend going to youtube and watching that 1st round over. 4 of the 5 minutes diaz was on his back getting smashed on..

Guida won…period…Just not in stellar fashion.
Isn’t “control” a factor for the judges? Guida controlled Diaz most of the time.
If Guida could figure out how to actually GNP or strike, he could be huge threat. The “Tazmanian Devel”/bear hug technique doesn’t put away opponents.
Diaz could have won if he had more effective boxing. He even admitted it.
Also, remember that Diaz is amazing on the ground. For Guida to control there was impressive.
Last, Diaz needed a loss. Those Diaz brothers think they are thugs. Time for him to mature and evolve his game.
by Tom Hanks on Feb 4, 2009 8:45 AM EST reply actions
While I’m not surprised Nate Diaz is saying something ignorant and stupid again – that’s pretty much what happens every time he manages to articulate words, instead of just grunting – the amount of support he’s getting around here was something I didn’t expect.
Diaz did exactly TWO things in that fight: he jabbed (half the time with the hand open) and ineffectually tried for a few submissions. Despite his huge reach advantage, he didn’t push the striking, and aside from pulling guard a couple of times, also didn’t do a damn thing to put himself in position to use his BJJ. In fact, he didn’t even try, and put on the usual Diaz brother monkey act when the other guy wouldn’t come and engage on Diaz’s terms.
Guida put on a horrible performance, but he was the one initiating… well, practically everything that happened in that fight. Diaz had plenty of opportunities to go on the offensive, but (aside from that brief moment in the 3rd round) he instead decided to let Guida spend several minutes sitting on his back, which made the outcome pretty much inevitable. In fact, it SHOULDN’T even have been a split decision – you don’t get points just because your opponent fought an ugly and boring fight.

Snooze fest – brutal matchup to begin with in terms of excitement for the fans, though I was sucked in and pretty pumped for it. I blame Joe Silva……..

Keep your head up, Nate. Even though I think you’re a prick, you are the future of that division. A decision loss to a very game Clay Guida is nothing to be ashamed of.
by Eric on Feb 4, 2009 9:13 AM EST reply actions
Nate was completely dominated. Guida did what he had to do to prevent getting submitted by a great jui jitsu fighter. I was suprised that it was a split decision. there wasn’t a round that nate even came close to dominating. in the 3rd he had a good flurry on the feet. It lasted about 20 seconds before guida put him right back on the canvas. Diaz’s popularity is what made it a split. And Guida is far from boring. Have any of you seen his last fights? Jits is a great art, but it’s those guys who force boring fights. Gracies are some of the best of all time, but they are the most boring fighters to watch. Diaz is gracie trained. He could have pushed the pace but it was easier for him to lose and then talk shit because that’s what he does..
by Travis Napier on Feb 4, 2009 9:22 AM EST reply actions
Yeah I am surprised that everyone here thinks Diaz should have won. I was there at the MGM and thought Guida was in control of most of the fight and I was surprised at the split. And for those of you who thought the fight was boring – you probably weren’t there to see the other snoozers on the undercard. They made this fight feel like fricken fight of the night.
Either way, Guida won me a ton of cash on this fight so I aint complaining.
BTW

guida is not a boring fighter~ and he did not just hold on to my boy!
what about that huge slam? what about the knees from the clinch?
~takedowns?
~elbows?? his crazy pace? and willingness to keep a fast pace??
imo~ guida is a scrappy fighter~ who usually delivers an entertaining fight.
diaz was the one initiating the clinch!
if nate was thinking straght? he would have stood and boxed.
i cant believe nate clinched as much as he did.
nate just ended up in a clinch catching knee’s.
and when nate got his judo throw?
guida would just reverse the position..
bottom line is nate should have kept a gap, and boxed clay all night.
nate is better then that! he is better then guida!
i give clay guida respect for taking nate out of his zone.
he fully made nate fight a guida fight..
i think nate could beat guida 9 out of 10 times.

They need to revise the scoring system. It seems way to often that the fights end with someone sandbagging the other once they feel they’re ahead in the score to run down the time. Like how they take a knee in football. I understand it but it isn’t very exciting.

The diaz brothers are cut from a different cloth. The best of the best. If I were hiring my dream team of fighters they along with robby lawler and matt hughes would be my first four choices. Just due to the heart factor. He had the best fight of the night and got ripped on the decision. Guida is a cuddle bunny hugger. He never hurt him once and diaz punished during the stand up. Oh well Nate, dana don’t like your brother either. your probably next.
Affliction out did UFC and let everybody know. If we start supporting it as well as ufc, then and only then can we get the best for the fans. Shity card UFC. The matchups seemed right. Just no one wanted to fight. Karo parisian whatever his name is was a fluckin joke. He’s a bitch and lost the match too. Wrong decisions and pussy fighting. Shame on you UFC! I’ll get affliction for sure on the next card. And I’m not that excited about UFC’s next line up!!!!

The fact that Nate is a skinny looking kid but still wins most of his fights is part of what I like about him. He also keeps his cool when he is getting worked over and is always looking for the sub.
It’s pretty clear what happened in this fight. Guida won the first and Diaz the last round. The middle was basically a draw, but you can’t give 10-10, so it was a toss-up. Diaz was going for the kimura half the time and Guida was “controlling” him from the back via huggage.
I gave Diaz some minor points for the throws, even tho it didn’t improve his position. Since Diaz won the last round and was finishing stronger I came away thinking he won the fight, even if the judges didn’t. But in truth it was a draw.
But the most exciting part of the fight was when Nate was tagging him with unanswered blows and starting raising his arms in the arm. I have no idea why I like that move so much, but it has an in-your-face quality that I appreciate and only the Diaz brothers can get away with it.
My favorite martial artists are the humble guys like Fedor, Randy, etc. But for some reason, Nate’s attitude and style is entertaining. I will root for him every time. At least he was looking for ways to finish the fight in that second round (even if the kimura was ill-advised). Guida was all about controlling his way to a point victory.
