-- Former UFC heavyweight champion, mixed martial arts legend and colorful HDNet broadcaster Bas Rutten is heard during the Affliction: "Day of Reckoning" weigh-in having some choice words for vice president of M-1 Global USA, Gary (Jerry) Millen. Just before Fedor Emelianenko was set to tip the scales, Millen grabbed the microphone from the announcer and gave his own introduction of the Russian. Rutten apparently didn't approve of the impromptu speech. Rutten and Millen go way back to the Pride FC days -- Millen was the former USA vice president and Rutten was a ringside announcer for the Japan-based promotion. Rutten has gone to great lengths in the past to expose Millen, calling him a "fake" who was "worthless behind the scenes." Rutten also revealed that Millen now goes by Jerry because it "sounds cooler" than his birth name, Gary. For more on that click here. Millen has also been distributing video blogs all week, hyping the WAMMA heavyweight champion, as well as antagonizing UFC President Dana White.

Very funny indeed. It was kinda said like he thought he was off the mic but Im sure he knew he wasn’t!! LOL

Millen hijacks the mic then announces Fedor himself….who the F*CK does he think he is….a total prick if I ever saw one. This guy needs to get the boot.

I’m pretty sure this is the first time so many people on here have been in total agreement. This guy millen is just an embarassment to Affliction, MMA, Fedor, and almost certainly his own parents. But i guess he’s original, afterall nobody in MMA does video blogs……..

I just went and watched the video of the weigh-ins for AA and Fedor,and Bas is nowhere to be seen. If he made comments it was to a reporter not officially covering the event. The thing that really bothered me was that they announced Fedor like 3 or 4 times in 2 minutes. They are really shoving the guy down peoples throats. He isn’t pitching himself very well but these T-shirt guys are all over him like stink.

my only regret about ordering this event is the annoucer’s telling us how great Fedor is over and over again. Yes he is the best heavy out there but a little non biasis would be nice! Yes Goldie and Rogan do have their favorites but it’s becuase they actaully like the person and hangout with them, oppossed to getting paid to talk about a fighter who is the whole org. Your thoughts……

The comments can be heard not on the Affliction weigh in itself, but on HDNet’s Inside MMA. They were there live at the weigh ins and thats where the comment was made.
