Little Evil is to Faber as Franklin is to Silva.

i really hate to see this matchup. pulver is one of my favorite fighters, and he is the reason that the lighter guys got out there. but i really dont see him getting through faber. and i also dont see him coming back from 3 losses in a row. even if he does win, i dont want to see faber have 2 L’s in a row…just a shi%%y matchup for this fan. but im still gonna watch…

How do you think Faber would stack up again the lightwieghts in the UFC is he was able to pack on a healthy 10lbs?

by Chiko on Jan 13, 2009 12:01 PM EST reply actions

He could do well but would even have problems with some of the lower top end guys such as Lauzon. Best he stay where he is in my opinion.

by Heaton on Jan 13, 2009 12:15 PM EST up reply actions

He would spank BJ – a’la as Couture spanked Ortiz

by Anger Jack on Jan 13, 2009 12:25 PM EST up reply actions

LOL no way ne 1 is gona spank Penn (but GSP) and he would be ok @ 155 at tyson griffin level he might get a title shot but will never b as dominaint as he is @ 145 but i want 2 c Faber vs torres rhat would be great.

by beast3000 on Jan 13, 2009 12:43 PM EST up reply actions

No way, Faber is small even at 145; most his opponents are bigger and even Curan, opponent prior to Jens dropped to 135 after the fight. I bet he could even make 135, but don’t bother with Torres cause he’ll eat the California Kid alive!

by O Damn he got caught on Jan 13, 2009 12:51 PM EST up reply actions

urijah couldnt make 135 without cutting something off his body, he’d be good at 155 he’s so fast not many match up well with that, his losses are both because he got careless so i bet from now on he wont lose again, and torres wouldnt touch urijah he’s for sure a great 135lb fighter but he hasnt really fought someone like urijah and maeda was doing well against him

by randy murders on Jan 13, 2009 3:53 PM EST up reply actions

This one will NOT go the distance Faber in mid 2nd

by beast3000 on Jan 13, 2009 12:10 PM EST reply actions

The butt-chin helps him deflect punches haha. Nah I like the Cal Kid. I find the wee lads a much more exciting fight than the big monsters slowly brawling it out.

by Heaton on Jan 13, 2009 12:12 PM EST reply actions

Lil Evil aint winning this again

by fuquyo on Jan 13, 2009 12:14 PM EST reply actions

Just as I said – Kid needs the KTFO to get back in track – I’m glad he has the same thoughts

by Anger Jack on Jan 13, 2009 12:26 PM EST reply actions

Faber will finish Jens this time. Jens isnt the same fighter at all. He is slow and is basically looking for the KO every punch. If he would stick and move.. he would have a good chance. Its not going to happen tho. Faber 2nd KO/TKO

by enzo-enormous on Jan 13, 2009 12:35 PM EST reply actions

If Pulver used his boxing skills effectively instead of going for the KO with every punch he throws, he’d do an awful lot better.
Still, I don’t see him beating Faber. Which is a shame, cause I like Lil Evil.

by Hero-Of-Time on Jan 13, 2009 12:50 PM EST reply actions

I’m keepin the faith here; WAR PULVER!! Lil Evil can still put the beat down on anyone at 145; he’s still a threat, coming off 2 loss’s and going up against a guy that already beat him, who knows, maybe Faber gets a little overconfident here; can’t hurt to hope! I’ll be rooting for Jens come fight night.

by O Damn he got caught on Jan 13, 2009 12:53 PM EST reply actions

With such a large butt chin, you’d think Jens could land one. I hope Jens actually works his boxing and comes with better movement. The hang ten thing makes me want to vomit.

by Punch You in the Ovaries on Jan 13, 2009 1:29 PM EST up reply actions

Faber landed so many illegal blows last time I lost track of them all… I distinctly remember the repeated hammer fists to the back of the head and several punches to the throat, but IIRC he also managed to poke Pulver in the eye and kick him in the groin.

He was clearly going to win the decision no matter what, but IMO got frustrated with not being able to get a stoppage.

Hopefully, whatever the result (which will most likely be a Faber victory again), he’ll fight a cleaner fight this time around. Or maybe at least they’ll use a ref that has the use of both eyes.

by MattNY on Jan 13, 2009 1:14 PM EST reply actions

haaha “use of both eyes” lol

by Chiko on Jan 13, 2009 3:13 PM EST reply actions

WAR JENS PULVER BY KO BUT I LIKE THE CAL KID AND HOPE HE COMES BACK AFTER THE LOSS

by liamd on Jan 13, 2009 5:41 PM EST reply actions

Plumbers crack on the chin! LMAO ! Good one Newfie. This fight is not interesting..

by gonzo101 on Jan 13, 2009 11:50 PM EST reply actions

I can’t see why this is happening again but Fabio will knock lil weasel out this time.
