Nice to see these guys can do basic math.

I thought it was hilarious when they got the wrong room!

That fat bald guy was like “oh, hey dana”. He thought he was special for a minute.

Haha nice, Go Franklin.. And Davis.

Can I get some Shogun coverage! He is literally all I care about for this event!

War Shogun!

by john on Jan 14, 2009 8:20 AM EST up reply actions

It would have been funnier had they used the schock pen on Dana’s neck as he’s benching 300 pounds.

by vega on Jan 14, 2009 10:03 PM EST up reply actions

Dana’s stronger than I thought…

by Chadx23 on Jan 13, 2009 11:15 PM EST reply actions

i’m sure he can lift his fair share, but what the heck were those other guys doing. when they were putting on the weight i was like holy crap. then they pressed it once, with a spot…haha. like what was the point of watching that lol. lytle seems like a really cool guy tho. I’m really looking forward to that one!

by shinbob on Jan 13, 2009 11:25 PM EST reply actions

That was Davis, not Lytle.

by El_Mexicutioner, formerly The_Mexicutioner on Jan 13, 2009 11:28 PM EST up reply actions

lytle was there towards the end yo.

by Jizzo on Jan 13, 2009 11:45 PM EST up reply actions

I wish they lasted longer cos they are well good!!
yeah Dana can lift quite a weight, pressed that no probs, it would be good to see the likes of shogun aswell.

Dana’s life looks amazing, I wish I could catch a break with a job in the ufc, I guess he deserves his life though cant grudge him that!!

Except for the 95 card haha!! Still raging!

Dam my spelling is horrible

by Irish on Jan 14, 2009 12:14 AM EST reply actions

I’d like to know what some of the fighters are capable of lifting. I know a lot them don’t go heavy though. Strength seems to only bridge a moderate skill gap and muscle endurance and plyometrics seem to dominate thier workouts. I consider myself strong for a Joe Blow that only makes it to the gym 3 times per week. I bench around 340lbs and I’m 195-200lbs as of late. I wonder how many of the LHWs can handle much more than that. In fact, I’d probably do better to compare myself to MWs. In Lebens videos, he didn’t seem to go to heavy. Franklin is always doing high rep’s, but some of it is considerably heavy for the speed at which he works out. Randy’s workout is on youtube and it looks like it would just make you vomit, but it’s light weight.

by Punch You in the Ovaries on Jan 14, 2009 12:14 AM EST reply actions

Tank Abbott said he’s benched 600lbs.

by Kick you in your Tits on Jan 14, 2009 12:34 AM EST up reply actions

Aside from the fact that he’s not really an MMA fighter, I always wondered if that was true. It was probably with one of those cheater shirts strapped over his big bologna tits.

by Punch You in the Ovaries on Jan 14, 2009 12:48 AM EST up reply actions

No, it actually true!

by SoCalStunNa on Jan 14, 2009 1:09 AM EST up reply actions

I think Houston Alexander is rediculously strong for his size. It seemed to pay off when you consider the devistation of his short punches from within the clinch. Too bad that guy didn’t evolve a litte faster.

by Punch You in the Ovaries on Jan 14, 2009 1:29 AM EST up reply actions

I just found it on youtube. He does bounce the shit out of it, but it’s still surprising.

by Punch You in the Ovaries on Jan 14, 2009 1:33 AM EST up reply actions

You can see it on youtube. He bounces the shit out of it, but he gets it. I competed in RAW powerlifting contests, and now that I am used to it, I like that style of benching a lot better. You can’t move your feet, butt, back, or head once you start, and you have to pause it on your chest until a judge says press. It is a lot harder, but you get used to it.

by naturalshadow on Jan 14, 2009 1:50 AM EST up reply actions

I think Marcus Davis said he can bench 370-375. Houston Alexander can do 450 apparently.

by RobH86 on Jan 14, 2009 1:09 PM EST up reply actions

and weighs that too

by The Philicutioner on Jan 14, 2009 12:36 AM EST reply actions

It doesn’t matter what anyone thinks of him – Dana has one of the best jobs on the planet … great video.

by DownUnder on Jan 14, 2009 1:12 AM EST reply actions

yea everyone wants to be the goddamn boss!

by RoB on Jan 14, 2009 1:37 AM EST up reply actions

Boss is not the word mate, but access to the guys we talk about everyday on here is! Lorenzo’ are the boss mate, Dana is the lucky gimp :)

by DownUnder on Jan 14, 2009 5:46 AM EST up reply actions

What the facial is going on? How many cm between Marcus’ eyebrows? Great tweezer work!!!

by TapedUpPair on Jan 14, 2009 1:13 AM EST reply actions

It’s from all the scarring.

by J on Jan 14, 2009 2:42 AM EST up reply actions

He actually had an operation which removed all his scare tissue (i think Rashad also had it) .. clearly is has taken an extra liking to the maintenance :)

by DownUnder on Jan 14, 2009 5:47 AM EST up reply actions

those hats that guys like Marcus Davis and the fucking lil school boy outfits Roger Huerta sports look ridiculous. Maybe I’m not up on how Boston rolls but this isn’t the 1920s. Shit like that would get your wig split around here. Fool needs to get a proper mexican buzz cut soon!

by wat fool on Jan 14, 2009 2:48 AM EST reply actions

by Lester the Pimp on Jan 14, 2009 7:45 AM EST up reply actions

people complain about Dana but he seems just like one of the guys…..workingout and goofing off…..instead of the norm uptight boxing promoters that we are so used too.

Good call, should have picked up on that when Franklin mentioned Dana getting a fan a signature.

by fokman on Jan 14, 2009 12:27 PM EST up reply actions

That’s what I was thinking.

by RobH86 on Jan 14, 2009 1:13 PM EST up reply actions
