Fedor is gonna put the Bit Pull to sleep. hehe

Anyone see the GIANT axe commercial at 8:33 mark? This guy is the complete opposite of Fedor. This fight won’t be as big a beatdown as GPS on Penn but i still feel bad for him.

Agreed, 3 weeks in row of great fights. but one questions. whats up with these videos? not that i mind, but is afflication trying to make Andrea the new unstoppable hero if he beats Fedor?? i get it when UFC has the All Access or the Countdown or even the behind the scenes videos, but it usually involves both fights, this is just pure Andrea….

by ricky on Jan 12, 2009 10:22 PM EST up reply actions   0 recs

These vids are produced by Arlovski’d marketing team. Not Affliction.

Yes – Fedor is training in Russia – he has no time for this nonsense

by Anger Jack on Jan 13, 2009 11:24 AM EST up reply actions   0 recs

Funny you mention that; you don’t see Fedor doing all this PR; on the one hand it’s unfortunate that he’s not getting publicity; but on the other hand the silence sends its own message; Fedor’s all business. Like I said, I had Arlovski in the beginning, but now I’m thinking Fedor is gonna wrap him up and send him home.

by O Damn he got caught on Jan 13, 2009 10:17 AM EST up reply actions   0 recs

Let’s not forget that Fedor lives and trains in Russia, not America. His training may be getting covered in some form or another too. It just might be airing only in Russia but I could be wrong. Just pointing out the other side of the coin.

All these videos are is a documentary. They get done all the time in boxing and are increasing in MMA. I dont think being filmed has any impact on how hard or thoroughly a guy trains. Andrei probably reviews the finished project and puts his 2 cents in before they release it but I’m sure thats where his involvement ends.

I really, really admire Fedor’s abilities and I appreciate his dominance in the ring. I also agree that he is the top HW in the world. BUT……I think Arlovski is his toughest test to date. Just like all my other posts in related threads, I think Arlovski has the standing edge in striking and footwork and his TDD is 2nd to none. Fedor has the ground locked up but when was the last time you’ve ever seen Arlovski get submitted? And dont bring up Roy Nelson because all of our favorite fighters have been caught in bad situations without getting finished, even Fedor.

Point is, although Fedor has the ground edge, I dont think it’ll be as easy to submit Andrei as everyone thinks. I’ve seen Fedor have a time with submitting lesser skilled guys in PRIDE. Not that it cant happen but I just dont think it’ll be that easy….for either fighter.

I think it might be the best ever….I think in generally mma fans don’t really comprehend how big this fight is….AA was once the most feared heavy in the world and then he has 2 losses and now he sucks? Is AA the most dangerous striker Fedor has ever faced? I think so, and think about this… Cro Cop has no ground game and Fedor didn’t submit him just somnething to think about….AA has never been submitted, then again Fedor is a different animal…..Great fight just some thoughts.

by Robert(1) on Jan 13, 2009 9:39 AM EST up reply actions   0 recs

I just posted a similar take on this match as well. Good points about AA’s 2 losses and the Fedor vs Cro Cop match. Everyone also forgets or omits the fact that in AA vs Sylvia II, AA was just a hair away from ending that one just as fast as the 1st one but he overcommitted and wasnt prepared for Tim’s quick recovery.

by Machine on Jan 13, 2009 2:21 PM EST up reply actions   0 recs

Don’t know what to expect but Werdum is supposed to be a wiz on the ground and AA simply outboxed him…. again can AA outbox Fedor and escape any ground/pound? I simply don’t know? Good point about AA’s second fight with Tim…..who knows maybe it was the best thing for him….he leaves the UFC and now fights Fedor…..can’t wait for this one

by Robert(1) on Jan 13, 2009 2:36 PM EST up reply actions   0 recs

I feel bad for Fedor in this fight. He has no idea how bad Arlovski is going to hurt him. No more cans for the overrated commie now.

Sigh. The worst part is I think you’re being serious.

This was the worst video yet.

by R/p on Jan 12, 2009 10:22 PM EST up reply actions   0 recs

LOL, good one.

by NameNotRequired on Jan 12, 2009 10:41 PM EST up reply actions   0 recs

Sigh. The worst part is I think you honestly believe the hype surrounding Fedor.

by prophet on Jan 12, 2009 10:58 PM EST up reply actions   0 recs

And you’re still the “false prophet” as chefdaddy would correctly call you.

by Diceman on Jan 12, 2009 11:03 PM EST up reply actions   0 recs

Whos Fedor gonna have to beat next to prove himself for f sakes. After he submits Arlovski whats the excuse gonna be? Dont for forget useless Tim beat Arlovski TWICE and fedor made him look like a school girl.

by BMO on Jan 12, 2009 11:04 PM EST up reply actions   0 recs

And Mir destroyed Nog who Fedor couldn’t finish on three occasions…what’s your point?

by prophet on Jan 12, 2009 11:32 PM EST up reply actions   0 recs

Nog’s washed up

by BMO on Jan 12, 2009 11:36 PM EST up reply actions   0 recs

andrei beat him just as fast as fedor the first time. why do you people still try to make something out of that? mma math doesn’t work regardless.

by ActionJackson on Jan 13, 2009 12:13 AM EST up reply actions   0 recs

So Nog’s washed up but Sylvia isn’t?

by prophet on Jan 13, 2009 12:18 AM EST up reply actions   0 recs

I also believe that the “Big Russian’s” days are numbered too. If its believing in the hype is the accusation, then fine. Count me in as a believer that the Fedor’s days as mythical are over. This is going to be a great fight and in my opinion, Fedor’s first real challenge. Timmeh is a good fighter, but definitely a mental midget who grows into a giant after his second fight with the same opponent. I think Timmeh bought into the hype and came to the fight already lost.

AA ftw but this fights proves nothing fag-dor still won’t be the best fighter in the world beacause the best HW(s) is not in MMA only fanboys believe they are……..p

by Signzoe on Jan 12, 2009 10:39 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

the best HW is not in MMA?

by 1-0 via Arm Triangle on Jan 12, 2009 11:08 PM EST up reply actions   0 recs

what?? how does that make sence, i think you meant to say the Best HW is not in the UFC. and ya Fedor is the Best Hw, what other HW do u know that hasn’t lost?

losing is not everything – winning is – Frank Mir had perfect 2008

I’m sorry…what?

Man, that Andre is a regular Ashton Kutcher with all those zany pranks he pulls. Whats with the two “Night at the Roxbury” reject brothers? And why is he hanging with one of the security guards from “Springer” ? Really cool crowd there. Sound like a bunch of yes men to me.

by El_Mexicutioner, formerly The_Mexicutioner on Jan 12, 2009 11:06 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

somebody sounds a little jealous. maybe you can make a video about your entourage. you can call it “a weekend with the border patrol”

by ActionJackson on Jan 13, 2009 12:17 AM EST up reply actions   0 recs

Or I can call it “Pulling a Freighter on Mrs. Action Jackson”

by El_Mexicutioner, formerly The_Mexicutioner on Jan 13, 2009 12:23 AM EST up reply actions   0 recs

ohhh i see what you did there. you put a mrs. in front of my name. insinuating that i’m a woman. you’re a genius bro. you should write for carlos mencia.

by ActionJackson on Jan 13, 2009 12:44 AM EST up reply actions   0 recs

No, I guess it was too complicated for you to get. Nice try though. You may go now.

AJ, I think it was in regards to doing something with your wife. You have to read between the lines with Mexi, like him or not he is a pretty smart dude. If he is going to insult he goes for the jugular, Not the “you’re a girl approach”.

by Psyqo78®™ on Jan 13, 2009 1:59 AM EST up reply actions   0 recs

Psyqo: How dare you imply such nonesense. ;)

Border jokes are pretty original.

by El_Mexicutioner, formerly The_Mexicutioner on Jan 13, 2009 12:33 AM EST up reply actions   0 recs

I have Mexi by TKO in the second, as AJ didn’t answer the bell for the 3rd.

Or does Psyqo count as referee stoppage?

by Jeff on Jan 13, 2009 9:58 AM EST up reply actions   0 recs

Early stoppage, Psyqo your just like Dirty Dan…

by O Damn he got caught on Jan 13, 2009 10:21 AM EST up reply actions   0 recs

my bad. i can’t sit by my computer all night and wait for your spiteful ass to reply. and i’m only 22 so i’m not married. an ambiguously phrased joke is not implicit. there’s nothing to read between the lines, it’s just not funny either way.

by ActionJackson on Jan 13, 2009 10:59 AM EST up reply actions   0 recs

AJ: but yet you posted at 00:44:45, well after my remark. Sorry if your mother makes you go to bed and doesn’t allow you to stay up late. Jitt’s these days.

I dont know how I feel about this one. I am expecting Fedor to win, however Andrei more chance than any other fighter on the planet to win … F***CK! I am hoping for a draw.

I think if Andrei is going to win this it will be by Decision. While Arlovski does have the power to rock just about anyone, Fedor’s recovery time is absolutely insane (see the Fujita and Randleman fights), and I just don’t see Fedor being K.O’d outright.
Fedor however, could K.O and TKO Arlovski, but if Arlovski’s boxing training has helped as much as they say, I don’t see him being K.O’d due mainly to improved footwork and head movement. I also don’t see Fedor subbing Arlovski. AA’s never been subbed before, and he is good enough on the ground to hold his own I think.
I’m hoping for an AA victory, as he’s my favourite fighter alongside GSP, but, while my heart says he will win, my head says Fedor takes this one.
Hopefully I’m wrong

The next time someone cries that the fighters don’t make enough money, I’m going to quote the “custom” waste of money jewlery AA showed off in this video.

Like Dana said – everyone always wants more.

Andre….livin large.I’ve seen him out and about in Chicago several times, but I honestly didn’t know he was such a high roller.

That chain or medallion he had had to be around 250-500k. Pretty ridiculous.

But hey, I love watchin him fight. This is going to be an excitin fight to watch
