Jim Carey brought some A quality material. LOL at Coleman too. Surprised they showed Ninja. Don’t think they would have if it was on Spike.

What a wasit…. cant they put anderson silva on this show or other another ufc fight nite? i mean his time is allmost up an he’s been fighting nobodies who cares if he beat ‘dan i mean theres no secret that pride fighters have been overly hype by 15 year olds…Fedor is no exception SILVA HYPE!! put him up against the top fighters under heavy weight an win! but that won’t happen because dana knows he’s not the best p4p (lame term)then you have ppl sayin theres no one left FOR HIM to beat,PLZ, Another white lie!….

Why are some people picking Coleman in this fight? It doesn’t make any sense to me the last time the guy fought was in 2006 against Fedor and was treated like a punching bag in that fight. He finally got a takedown in the 2nd rd. and was promptly submitted. Coleman hasn’t had a relevant win since 2000 unless you want to count Don Frye in 2003. Now he’s dropping to 205 for the first time at 44 years old against the former #1 ranked 205 pounder, and people are picking him to win.
WHY?

Thats what I want to know Tyler. Im going to make it simply for the Naysayers! Old school fighters from the Past, are DONE!!! They just cant compete with the young new breed of well rounded mma fighters. We saw it with Matt hughes, and we are about to see it with Coleman. THe man is 44 years old, fighting who I believe is the best and most well rounded fighter at LHW. NOt to mention the fact that Shogun is salivating at the thought of fighting coleman again.
Bad idea for coleman… After this fight Coleman should just fight Randy Couture and they can both retire and enter the same nursing home!

samee ive got the same picks but seeing as if i buy it, it wont be live ill just watch it online
by Jared on Jan 10, 2009 10:59 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
got franklin, too technical for hendo, and shogun, no real need for a shogun explaniation! after this, i think coleman last event will be a ufc 100: CARDIAC ARREST , featuring frye, severn, couture, gracie and shamrock, what better way to celeberate 100 ufc’s than with the godfathers themselves!!

anyone else know that coleman is headed to jackeen county early to settle in, then fly to england to train with wolfslair!

im picking Ace and Coleman, he seems more ready to go than shogun, he still looks a little soft due to that injury.

Thanks for the heads up Mania. this was indeed a very good countdown. i cant believe spike didn’t air this but is having another all-acccess with rich. oh well at least i didnt have to wait through commercials. i loved seing the old clips of hendo in his 1rst fights in brazil and franklin’s response to the “3 dimensions”. the shogun/coleman story was very compelling as well and this is an issue that needed to be settled imo. once again the ufc has me pumped up and i cant wait for this event.

Franklin’s response was funny. He is showing some math nerd humor. Rogan saying Hendo wouldn’t be far away from a 205 title shot if he won had me confused, and then thinking about a Rashad vs Hendo match. That could be a great matchup. Last thing-Coleman still looks pretty big, I wonder if the weight cut will cause fatigue at his age/size.

Yup… This event is definatly the red headed step child of the month. That countdown just managed to get me super pumped, plus the Davis/Lytle and Kang/Belcher fights. These sleeper events usually end up being better than most. I am going to be out of town, but thank God for DVR… Record and watch Sunday night. Boom!

BNF. remember it starts in the afternoon when you set your dvr. :)

For having two Events in one month this one’s not to bad. Rich and Dan have ton’s of experience but both have taken a little bit of a slide after losing to Silva. I think these guys both should be training and fighting at 185 for a possible rematch with Silva. Rua should take out Mark in 2 rounds? I’ll enjoy all the fights but the only other one sticking out right now that I know I’ll want to see is The Horn Palhares fight.

Coleman is such a fucking idiot. “I forced him to break his arm.” Than his butt buddy trainer, “Mark is a legend in Japan.” Yeah well David Hasselhoff is a legend in Germany-whats your fucking point? Then you got Coleman going on a roid rage by throwing the ref and then after the brawl him and that jerk off Baroni are flexing their muscles in the ring. What jerk-off’s. The cream of the crop these two are. I hope Rua does break his face as well as knocks this guy unconscious and into retirement where he belongs.

Why was the footage they showed of Coleman training for this fight in slow motion? Oh…it wasn’t? My bad.

Very nice. I wouldn’t have thought of that one.

This is a huge task for Franklin. Hendo is a much more well rounded fighter. Been waiting a while to see how Franklin handles a fighter of this caliber as i have always thought he is a little overrated. If Franklin does not change or try to progress he will get handled by Hendo.

I think Franklin is probally one of the most underated feighters. His only three losses come from Silva twice(seems to have rich’s number?) & Machida who is still undefeated!! Come on guy’s Franklin is for real if you seen Dana`s blog that`s just posted Bisping`s predection is Franklin but he thinks it`s going to be close. Winner of this fight will face Bisping after they coach on the Next UF!

Franklin did a good job avoiding the wrestling of Matt Hamil, but Hamil looked pretty terrible in that fight so it’s hard to say if Franklin could do the same against a world class wrestler like Henderson. I have no idea who to pick for this fight.
I think Coleman vs Rua is just going to come down to whether or not Rua has trained properly for this fight.

“How many more dimensions did he say he had? Like 3 more dimensions? Thats a lot of Dimensions…” LMAO priceless

I’m picking Coleman for this fight only because I don’t like Shogun’s attitude. He feels he’s entitled to win the fights he lost. He looks back with excuses. “I lost to Forrest because I was getting married and /cry.”
