he might win but 1 thing he won’t do is KO Hendo in the 1st
by McArthur on Jan 9, 2009 11:24 AM EST reply actions 0 recs
I actually have a feeling that he is going to dominate Henderson! He wont ko him in the 1st, thats for sure. 4 years ago, I owuld have predicted that Hendo would have ripped Rich’s head off, now I am not so sure.
I actually like Rich in this fight, probably via decision, but I wont be shocked if Franklin cracks the unsolved mystery that is…Hendo’s Chin. I watched Hendo get severely ROCKED by Anderson Silva, and I dont think his chin is going tohold up for the rest of his career. Likle Nog, someone is going to crack that chin and Rich and his missile-like leg strikes seems like as good a candidate as any!

i agree john… i actually think franklin will stop hendo in this fight… not a ko but probably tko Gnp or summet
what ever happens it’ll be very intrestin i’m sure

I have the same feeling that the last great chin in MMA will fall (shakes head).

if page couldn’t knock him out and phalares couldn’t submit him what makes you guys think ace even has a chance?
by jonsey on Jan 10, 2009 10:18 AM EST up reply actions 0 recs
I see where you’re coming from with the Page fight but he did get rocked a couple times.
If Palhares wasn’t such a 1-trick pony that fight might have been a lot different. Kudos to Hendo for executing a great game plan.
by Machine on Jan 10, 2009 3:22 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
jonsey i jus think he gets worse with every preformance.
yes i know he won his last fight with a good game plan
but hendo 2yrs ago would surely finished that fight
he has fought 2 KO artists in his last 3 fights and got rocked how much more can he take???
franklin will test his chin and if that doesnt work he will probably go for the body and end it that way

i think rich will dominate the stand up. I don’t see him KO’ing hendo outright, and i don’t see him GNPing him. I see him hurting hendo on the feet, kick or long combo, then finishing by sub or tko. it won’t be a standard takedown and GNP. I like sub the most. Let’s say…..hurts him on the feet, knocks him down or trip takedown finish with a choke, spider style.

did he say “there are better ways to make a fuck” at the beginning??
by 1-0 via Arm Triangle on Jan 9, 2009 11:28 AM EST up reply actions 0 recs
I think he meant to say there are easier ways to make a living but missed it or something and just came out fuck. Yes, he did. Good stuff.
by c-war on Jan 9, 2009 11:40 AM EST up reply actions 0 recs
lmao i heard that!
‘there are easier ways to make a f**k’ it sounded like
by ufcaddict on Jan 9, 2009 11:41 AM EST up reply actions 0 recs
“Easier way’s to make a buck”…c’mon guys’ He also called him “Rick Franklin”
by Psyqo78®™ on Jan 9, 2009 6:30 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
he meant to say there are easier ways to make a buck, but came out fuck.
by c-war on Jan 9, 2009 11:43 AM EST up reply actions 0 recs
I played that over and over and it is some funny shit. “There are easier ways to make a fuck”. Really? I haven’t been on my game lately so I’m looking for an easier way to make a fuck…w/out having to pay for it!
by Greggo on Jan 9, 2009 2:17 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
Actually, no, no he didn’t say “fuck”, he said “buck”. It was clear. Let’s not get too carried away, fellas.

.. He looks still looks like he is 205.. in these shots..
by PhilQNY on Jan 9, 2009 11:26 AM EST reply actions 0 recs
hummm.. I thought this was a 185lb match up.. to decide who coaches against Bisping.. and fights him at 185..
Ok.. 205 it is..
by PhilQNY on Jan 9, 2009 11:47 AM EST up reply actions 0 recs
thats what makes it so Fu*ked up Phil…winner drops to 185
by McArthur on Jan 9, 2009 2:05 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
Franklin will most likely never lose unless he fights A. Silva.
by c-war on Jan 9, 2009 11:26 AM EST reply actions 0 recs
I am pretty sure that c-war meant at 185. At 205 there are probably quite a few who could take him, that division is crazy. However, I am dieing to see Shogun’s next fight, because the Shogun that fought against Forrest would not be one of them.

I’ve been ringing it in ppl’s ears since..he is way better than the highlight reel A.Silva made him off..N yeah if Silva retires any moment, Franklin should get the belt back.

Dude looks pretty big. As much as I hate to go against Hendo, I’d have to take Franklin in this one.

Uh oh, we’re agreeing. Those 2012 end-of-the-world rumors may be true.
Rich is the man. His training truly is the edge for that guy. Although he did look a little like Jim Carey being funny while running in place.

This will be a great fight regardless of who wins, I see it possibly going the distance, they will both be battered. As much as I love Rich Im just not sure if will be able to beat Hendo, either way this will be a beauty.

I hope Hendo wins just so the TUF show has some sort of relevence. In the Franklin interviews I have read he seems unmotivated. Think about it, if he wins he has to go do a show he has no desire to do. What is his motivation? For that reason alone I will pick Hendo because I know he wants another crack at Anderson and that will give him the added motivation to win.

The more I see Rich, the more tragic the A. Silva scenarios seems. Rich is the posterboy for hardwork. But the lesson has to be: Kid’s if you work hard, stay positive, eat right, and believe in yourself, you can do anthything………unless a freak of nature comes along who also trains very hard, then you’re screwed. I want Franklin vs Silva 3 at some point. Get more Muay Thai guys around you Rich.

hahahahaha dude totally says a fuck hahahahaha

Ken Broo.. The most annoying sports show host around here in Cincinnati. Rick Franklin.. good call there you moron.
Rich is more prepared for this fight than any of his fights.. I think Rich walks away with a Unam decision.

NC 17, you from Cincy? Me too! Deer Park to be exact!
by 1-0 via Arm Triangle on Jan 9, 2009 4:05 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
I am in Newport KY, which I can look out my window and see Cincinnati, so I consider myself in Cincy.

I like Rich but i think Dan is gonna catch is chin before Rich catches his.Evan Tanner dropped Rich and Hendo is a better striker and Tanner.
by SluggerCitySoldier on Jan 9, 2009 1:42 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
How are you guys all so sure he wont KO hendo in rd 1?
by What? on Jan 9, 2009 2:46 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
I don’t know who will win this match. I think Rich’s confidence has been lacking since his Silva fights. I rather not know who is gonna win then it be obvious.

I have no clue who wins this one, and actually don’t care I like both guys, so am impartial.
by nathan on Jan 9, 2009 2:55 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
Sorry guys I heard “buck” not f__k…..tough fight to call it’s a pick’em for me but a loss does more damage to Hendo in IMO
by Robert(1) on Jan 9, 2009 3:43 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
ohh man i didnt expect franklin to be that big, im going with hendo cause i like the guy better but both these guys are great fighters. and i think its easier for hendo to cut the weight for 185. besides why should rich drop down when he built up all the muscle. its a stupid scenario
by Jared on Jan 9, 2009 4:35 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
its almost a coin flip for who wins but whoever win ,im sure they give Bisping a good ol’beat down
by Laughey on Jan 9, 2009 6:02 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
I really hope that Hendo can pull out a victory. I really dont want to see Franklin v. Silva 3 cause thats just gonna be another Muay Thai demonstartion by Anderson. Either way, whoever wins is gonna destroy Bisping…
by SARS on Jan 9, 2009 7:25 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
Its gonna be an awesome fight but hendo will take it without a doubt.
by LG on Jan 9, 2009 8:21 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
I like Rich, but I’d like to see him beat a top caliber fighter. Okami was his best win, in my opinion, but it was close.
