It sucks that Fedor will fight for everyone EXCEPT the UFC. If Fedor beats Arlovski, than the only fighter left in Affliction for him to fight is Barnett. Affliction hasn’t aquired anyone since they started, and I don’t know how they can keep the only strong division they have with the same few people. If Fedor does fight in the UFC, and kicks ass, then he will be a legend. If he never fights in the UFC, then one day he will end up being the answer to a question on Jeapordy.

The UFC has a lot of up and comers in the HW division: Carwin, Velasquez, and Dos Santos. They also have guys like Mir, Brock, Gonzaga, and Randy that would make huge fights. No other organization has that many fights. Some of you act like none of those fighters are any good, but look at the names that you listed as the people Fedor beat:

Big Nog is very impressive, but that is it. Sylvia is ok, but he was already handed his ass by Randy, and could just barely squeek a victory over Vera. Cro Cop was over rated, and as you laugh at Gonzaga, remember that he almost killed Cro Cop. Schilt and Hunt are good in K-1, but not great mma fighters, in fact Hunt is only 5-5. NO ONE cares about Japanese cans that are afraid to be in the ring.

Fedor has fought some decent guys, but the big names and top competition will always be in the UFC.

Yeah VM I do. The 2 toughest guys Fedor has DECISIONED (Nog and CC) got OWNED in the UFC. Mir and GG did what Fedor COULDN’T do on more than one attempt. Mark Hunt is a 5-5, Semmy’s record sucks also. Fedor destroyed Sylvia in a matter of seconds just like Mir and AA did. The only difference is Fedor did it when Tim was washed up (he lost 3 out of his last 4 fights. The only thing we know about Fedor is he can beat all the Pride HWs and all the Pride HWs that came to the UFC looked like shit against the UFC top HWs. If Werdum, Herring, Nog and CC even came close to dominating the UFC you might have point when you say Fedor would destroy these guys. Not only haven’t they dominated, but half of them couldn’t even make it and got kicked the fu@k out. How many more guys like Wandy and Shogun have to suck as SOON as they get in the UFC for you to realize it’s pretty obvious a step up in competition. Sokaju(sp)DESTROYED Arona and Nog in Pride and surprise, surprise he can’t buy a win in the UFC and gets the boot. No doubt Fedor is a great fighter, but to say he is the best when next week he is only fighting the first of at least 6 guys that are better than Nog or CC. That would be like saying GSP is the best WW before he fought Hughes, Fitch, Kos, Sherk, Trigg and BJ. A UFC reject like Monson beats Fujita near as fast as Fedor and goes the distance with Barnett. Please give me some examples where the Pride HWs have shown to be better than the UFC HWs and then maybe I’ll be more impressed with Fedor’s dominance. I trully believe if Fedor would welcome a real challenge and come to the UFC he would see 2 or 3 losses against the 6 top guys. If he walks right through AA then maybe no one has a chance, but I don’t think that will happen. This will be Fedor’s toughest test for sure.

There’s question as to whether or not Fedor is overrated. It’s great to finally start finding out. I don’t dislike Fedor, but I’m not sure he takes this fight. But I’m also not so convinced that Arlovski always brings his A game. If Fedor takes Arlovski convincingly and Arlovski seems to be on I will start to give more credit to Fedor, but he’ll need to take out another UFC LHW for me to start hugging nuts.

Fedor was fighing in PRIDE where the best HW’s resided and beating them all. Fedor didn’t ask for PRIDE to be bought out by the UFC only to be shut down. Also, Fedor didn’t ask Dana to be an unreasonable egomaniac. That’s just the way things are and is the reason Fedor is not in the UFC – its really that simple.

The only Pride standout that came to the UFC was Anderson Silva. I know a lot of guys will say," yeah but Fedor beat them when they were beasts". Sorry, but I don’t buy it that EVERY Pride fighter that moved to the UFC all the sudden went downhill as soon as they stepped foot in the octagon. I never seen Pride fighters (as a whole) as supperior back then and I sure as hell don’t now. You can’t tell me Fedor isn’t aware that his 2 toughest opponents got OWNED in the UFC.

Not only EX UFC champs, but they were SO WASHED UP that they got kicked out and couldn’t make the grade any more. Who’s next Ken Shamrock, he did pretty good at one time in the UFC.
