I am starting to lose some respect for ol’ chucky boy! LKike Kevin pointed out in an earlier thread, Chuck was basically calling out a guy who just got Knockjed out (wanderlei), even more disturbing is the fact that Chuck was trying to get a rematch with Wanderlei. Doesnt the fighter who loses the 1st fight typically ask for a rematch? When does a winner ask for a rematch? Real Petty chuck….Uhe used to fight anyone, anytime now he looking for rematches against guys he has beaten already!
anyone else disturbed by this?

Hey John not disturbed just disappointed, he didn;t even mention Rashad or Jackson as possible fights? And they were the winners? I still say either Forrest or Wandy in April for Chuck

I think you need to re-watch the video and pay closer attention! Chuck is asked who would you like to fight if you can pick anyone and his reply is, “Rashad Evans of course, he’s got the title!” Don’t let your hating blind you or make you go deaf!

Hate? I’m disappointed not hating. Chuck is one of my favorite fighters, this is the problem with these blogs sometimes I guess.

yeah John.. him wanted to rematch Wandy is suspect. Personally I think his ego is blocking his vision of himself.

well guys, I’m reading the coke comments, as a guy who used to have a love affair (2-3k a week) with the white stuff, I’ll say he looked f*cked up! Drunk, maybe, coked up possibly!

maybe at this time he may need Randy Couture’s some advice if he still wants to keep fighting for a long time. :D

what can randy do better then chuck? chucks problem is he fought the current champion, the guy who took his belt, and a guy who KO’d the former champ.. yeah hes lost a few fights lately but against top level guys, randy just knows how to get into legal trouble

You know you really have a good point. When he first got knocked out by Rashad, I was thinking that Chuck had really fallen short, but Rashad is on top of his game right now. Chuck lost to Rampage and Rashad. Rampage is essentially the number one contender and Rashad is the champion. Then we have Jardine. A fighter with an awkward fighting style and a great camp behind him. Those aren’t bad fighters to lose to. Especially when these fighters were all extremely motivated when they trained for and fought Chuck. You can’t forget that Chuck stood toe to toe with a powerful, well trained, and motivated Wanderlie Silva. These are his last 4 fights. I can only hope that his losses will motivate him because time isn’t on his side.

Thanks man. It’s always nice to hear feedback. Especially when it’s from someone you see eye to eye with hahaha. Lets hope Chuck stays in shape and does something big in his next fight.

If Chuck’s hands are as dependable as his words he is in trouble… Chuck was a great champ but I find it hard to believe that he has a viable future. Someone get him a handicap sticker because he will get hurt with the current monsters in the 205 division…
How long does it take coke to get out of ones system to get by a drug test? Or, are there masking agents??
by TapedUpPair on Dec 31, 2008 6:12 AM EST up reply actions 0 recs
I wouldn’t call Jardine top level if you mean top level as someone who can hold a belt at one time, Jardine beat Chuck.

I want to know this too. I have only ever smoked a little pot/hash. Drugs scare me. How do you know the eyes? If thats the case his heart must not be doing too well if this is a regular habbit.

I had VIP tix to a KOTC event a couple years back and got to eat with Chuck and Rich Franklin. When I asked Chuck for his autograph he store through me with slits for eyes and said “I dont have a pen” I replied “aah no way” then he reached into his front pocket and pulled out 3 sharpies. I kinda looked at my wife like “whats up with that”. He was not social at all and left the dinner way earlier then he should have, Rich totally hung out and shot the shit with us cracking jokes all the way. I thought Franklin was a pretty cool guy. We sat ringside with those 2 and this is my take. I have done coke, I have been around alot of people doing coke and Im not saying Chuck does coke or not but the way he pounded beers and flicked his nose all night I would bet money that he does coke or at the least was doing that night. They both had to go into the Cage and talk at half time, as soon as Chuck was done he left for the bar Rich stayed at the fights till the bitter end. I could be completely wrong but I dont think I am, anyways thats my Chuck encounter.

some people just studder, continuously touch there face, can’t stand still and repeat themselves because thats the way they are…but I tend to believe Chuck is coked up there without a doubt OR maybe he’s still recovering from getting KOed…haha

and depending on how long they’ve been up..they show signs of tweaking real bad…This one girl here the other day started freaking out and yelling around like a horse..constantly repeating her last name..it was a bad tweak….some people look like their about to OD..it all depends on the state of the persons mind…Heart rates are very scary..i saw this girl(Cathy) do some coke..She started to blow in and out like she was out of breath..it scared the fuk out of me..i almost called the ambulance..but the peeps she was getting high with, said she was just tweaking and its normal for her..I was like “fuk that, she needs medical help”..but in like 10 mins she was okay…just bad tweakers..

you are all way off topic with the coke/meth statments, first off,if chuck has a drug problem/addiction,his weight would be way down , and his health would be in tough shape, also his high profile life style would have already exposed a problem by other people he use’s with, coke heads and tweakers are not very solid when it comes to keeping secrets.the most important issue is that he would 100% come up dirty on the testing end of the assorted agencies that test pre and post fight. when you use coke or speed with chuck’s personality, you become addicted, as a matter of fact, anybody that fuck’s with that shit become’s controlled by it.it will own you, period. you may experiment. but continued use will create a dependency, period , no room for debate. anybody that questions that statement is defending their fucked up life style. chuck is a proffesional fighter and as such, will always be under the microscope from egg heads that do not know shit from shinnola.get a life and solid facts before you beak off.

Daz I have been around people who do coke and they’re not skinny (muscle heads), there are some who can lay off for a while 2-3 months getting ready for a fight type thing I;‘ve seen it, also Chuck is not fighting for a while if he was doing it he would have no reason not to do it now. That being said …..I don’t if he is or is not, just my thoughts.

I love Banner and am glad he is back in the fighting scene but he should never speak publicly.

It must be kinda tough for Bonnar to see all the accolades that Griffin receives. I hope that Bonnar is “back on track” as he is a fierce competitor and a good ambassador for the sport.

I just watched the video, his voice does not sound the same and he seems really wound up, whatever that means.

Too many band wagon jumpers here, if Chuck was on top he would have nothing but great feedback since he hasn’t done so well ,everyone trashes him, some MMA fans are ridiculous, you only cheer for whos on top , typical fans lol, Chuck will come back, I like routing for underdogs, Chucks an underdog, but I think anyone who thinks hes washed up or underestmated is going to get KO, chuck needs one KO and he will be back you watch Go Chuck GO, Go GSP Go

He’s a fucking moron if he tries to fight Rashad again. Rashad will just dance around the ring baiting Chuck to strike him with that overrated right hand and then counter-punch him goodnight.
Rampage did it, Rashad did it and it’ll happen a 3rd time unless Chuck learns to use some fucking takedown moves during a fight.
A lot of white guys fall for that shit against black fighters IMO.
by TerribleTyson on Jan 1, 2009 4:30 AM EST reply actions 0 recs
Chuck’s right hand ain’t overrated. A lot of KO’s have been created by that right hand…

Either Chuck is not what he used to be or the people around him are just getting better, either way Chuck has looked pretty bad getting KO’d in 3 of his last 4 fights. He is a big strong guy with good ground skills I cant understand why he would not want to mount and pound guys, who knows maybe he likes getting knocked unconcious.
by Spyder on Jan 1, 2009 2:59 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
About Chuck using coke. If so- which I would not second guess- he must have just started, probably after his KO loss to Evans, possibly after his loss to Jardine. Truth is, if you snort coke, you snort it habitually. But have you ever heard of a BINGE? He binges on alcohol and possibly coke. And uses his training and fights as an escape from his party life and his party life as an escape from his fighting life; not a very healthy lifestyle for anybody. But, the fact is, when you snort coke, after just a few hard binges for a month or two at a time, thats all it takes for the septum located in your nose to become extremely soft and it is extremely difficult to heal as many times it will never heal once it reaches a certain point. One punch to the nose from a lightweight, and his nose would instantly start bleeding and would not stop. You cannot snort coke and fight, even if you stop during training. With all that said however, im a big Chuck fan, and hope to see him at least fight for the title one more time. Do your thing Chuck. And all you who think hes doing coke, if youre right, he’s doing so little of it WHO CARES!!! Peace fools.
