UFC 95: Junior dos Santos to fight Stefan Struve
Brazilian heavyweight sensation Junior dos Santos (7-1) will return to the Octagon against newcomer Stefan Struve (16-2) at UFC 95 at The O2 Arena in London, England, on February 21, according to several published reports.
"Cigano" burst on the scene with an 81-second knockout of Fabricio Werdum — widely considered a top player in the division — in his debut for the promotion at UFC 90: "Silva vs. Cote" back in October. The Team Nogueira-trained fighter has never been beyond the first round in his professional career, finishing his all of his opponents (with the exception of one) with a mix of submissions and (technical) knockouts.
He looked powerful and crisp in his Octagon debut. It will be interesting to see of he can establish himself in the division alongside other up-and-comers such as Shane Carwin, Cain Velasquez and others with another win in his encore performance against the talented Dutch fighter.
Struve recently signed a four-fight contract with the organization, earning his opportunity to compete on the biggest stage in mixed martial arts with an impressive five-fight win streak in 2008 -- all of which came via submission.
The 20-year-old holds notable victories over former UFC veterans Colin Robinson and Mario Neto. He has lost just once in his last 16 fights, dating back to 2005.
UFC 95 currently features the highly anticipated lightweight debut of Diego Sanchez against Joe Stevenson in the main event of the evening. Middleweights Nate Marquardt and Wilson Gouveia are also expected to mix it up in an important division clash.

Really looking forward to seeing Junior again, especially to see if it was a fluke first time round.

Struve has a good triangle but i am not convinced with his chin, very suspect wrestling and his frame really doesn’t help either. I think Junior will flat line him, possibly GNP.

Good match up of the newbees… Hopefully it will be televised and is a good scrap. And Struve is only 20, maybe good things to come? Either way it seems like the UFC is building for the HW division of the future.

Very happy to hear that junior will be back in action. I didnt know much about him prior to the Werdum fight but I did my homework and the guy is for real!
Cant wait to see him fight again. If he beats this guy, I would like to see him paired up with Cheik Kongo

The guy just knocked out Werdum, shouldn’t he be fighting someone in the top 15 at least?
