kevin, never heard of it, but checked it out on the web, which means I’m simply hazarding a guess. And maybe not a fair one. 1, the pictures of the food looked great, but they should, lol. I can imagine, however, that the veg is underseasoned by the pictures. 2, I like Asian food as much as anyone, Asian fusion can be a little trickier. When in the hands of someone who knows that cuisine, it can be fantastic. However, many places trying to hop on a trendy bandwagon tend to do it very poorly. Best bet is to read the customer reviews, which ranged from four star to dogfood. So, apparently one can guess that consistency is at least a problem. But then again, don’t go out looking to have your mind blown unless you go to the four star places. Rather, take it for what it is, an experiment, and enjoy the night either for the taste of the food, or the jokes the food will inspire later as you get replacement dinner from a local drive thru. lol

i hope nog pulls of a submission…..mir its been saying that nogueira its no going to submit him but i wondering if he think he can submit nog…

by JoW on Dec 22, 2008 11:46 AM EST reply actions

Would be tough for either guy to pull off a sub, I think Nog can pick Mir apart in the Stand up tho; Kind of worried that when it hits the ground they’ll neutralize each other.

by O Damn he got caught on Dec 22, 2008 11:49 AM EST up reply actions

i hope not… but that use to happen with wrestler like sherk/griffin even that fight turn into a great fight!! but in BJJ i am not sure, i just one to see submission attemps over and over and not just stay in the guard..

by JoW on Dec 22, 2008 11:56 AM EST up reply actions

Thats what I’m saying, I don’t see Mir passing Nog’s Guard or getting subbed and vice versa as well; their both great Jits guys so the ref is gonna give them time to work, I just hope it doesn’t turn into a Posture/wrist control battle. The only way I see a sub coming is if someone gets rocked first.

by O Damn he got caught on Dec 22, 2008 11:59 AM EST up reply actions

and i dont think mir can rock nog but in the other hand i CAN see nog rock mir or even KO him… after nog finish mir i will scream O DAMN HE GOT CAUGHT lol

by JoW on Dec 22, 2008 1:21 PM EST up reply actions

Nog had Barnett mounted and almost armbarred off of a kimura. You think Mir stands a chance against Barnett? Nog’s only been mounted once if i am correct for a few seconds by Hendo in RINGS. Mir ain’t gonna do sh*t. Also Nog usually never misses openings unless he gives them up himself. He plays a simple and tight game.

by NameNotRequired on Dec 22, 2008 2:48 PM EST up reply actions

mir’s bjj is way overrated

by ActionJackson on Dec 22, 2008 11:58 AM EST up reply actions

You are an absolute TOOL mate … talk about an uneducated comment!

by DownUnder on Dec 22, 2008 1:18 PM EST up reply actions

ActionJackson, you’re right. People only look at the credentials of Roberto Traven to make their arguments, they don’t actually watch his fight. Watch Mir get tooled by Roy Nelson then come talk to me about his sick BJJ.

by NameNotRequired on Dec 22, 2008 2:43 PM EST up reply actions

NameNotRequired – please see above.

by DownUnder on Dec 22, 2008 9:29 PM EST up reply actions

I am not worried about this fight AT ALL! I already bet Big MOney (by my standards) on Nogueira!

NOgueira will destroy him in the stand up! Nog stand up is very under rated. He out struck Sergei who has great stand up. on the other hand Mir let Pan de Pano Cruz who hits like a little girl Knock him out!

No worries, Nog is not losing this fight! I actually feel bad for those of you who actually think Mir is good!

My prediction is that Mir gasses during his enterance on the way to the Octagon, passes out and loses before he even enters the Octagon. If he makes it into the Octagon, he is going to take a serious beating and be completely out classed

Mir shouuld be fighting guys lIke Wes Simms….NO way is he ready for big Nog. Besides Sylvia this is the only top opponent Mir has ever faced. Can u say, Mis Match?

by john on Dec 22, 2008 12:09 PM EST up reply actions

lol @ mir gassing on his way to the octagon :-)

by shamo84 on Dec 22, 2008 12:29 PM EST up reply actions

yeah, but nog could do nothing to herring the third time they fought.

by shamo84 on Dec 22, 2008 12:36 PM EST up reply actions

nothing? he took herring best shot and won.go rewatch the fight nog was out striking him and got caught and than recovered and continued to out strike him.

by roy on Dec 22, 2008 12:46 PM EST up reply actions

plus herring would beat mir as well.

by roy on Dec 22, 2008 12:47 PM EST up reply actions

yea and Herring would knock Mir the f out, believe that! Heath got a lucky shot in on nog that would have knocked anyone out, and Nog still won that just shows u how incredible he is! he also took Herring to school in the standup before that kick landed.. Nogueira by destruction this will go pass the 1st round it will be much like Vera vs Mir!

by RoB on Dec 22, 2008 12:57 PM EST up reply actions

the only reason Nog didnt get finished by Herring is because Herring didnt even take the time to finish it! if he acually would have jumped down there and started raining blows, Nog would have been done. its not like he’s Superman dude, he just gets lucky.

by GinaCarano'sLover. on Dec 22, 2008 1:14 PM EST up reply actions

I hear luck is a pretty good skill to have for anybody.

by zzz on Dec 22, 2008 1:32 PM EST up reply actions

Herring felt Nog get stronger and vice griping his hands, that’s why he stood up. He said himself a million times. This is a fact, i’ve read more than three interviews where he’s stated that.

by NameNotRequired on Dec 22, 2008 2:46 PM EST up reply actions

“the only reason Nog didnt get finished by Herring is because Herring didnt even take the time to finish it! if he acually would have jumped down there and started raining blows, Nog would have been done. its not like he’s Superman dude, he just gets lucky.”

I’d like to find the idiot who began this rumor and stab him to death with a spork. Watch the fight ffs…

Herring knocks him down, then throws over 10 punches trying to finish it. Nog regains guard, so Herring lets him up. It’s the EXACT SAME THING SYLVIA DID. People who say Herring didn’t try to finish that fight either didn’t watch it or are retarded.

by yohnstoppable on Dec 22, 2008 2:58 PM EST up reply actions

John " on the other hand Mir let Pan de Pano Cruz who hits like a little girl Knock him out!"

hahahahahahahahahahah!!!!!

John " My prediction is that Mir gasses during his enterance on the way to the Octagon, passes out and loses before he even enters the Octagon "

hehehehehehehe.. thanks John.. I needed that. =)

by PhilQNY on Dec 22, 2008 3:56 PM EST up reply actions

Seriosly pHIL! wE TALKED numerous times about what a mis match this is! Anyone who thinks Mir will actually win this fight…Please dont talk to me til after the fight!

FYI, Herring would destroy Mir! Heath is to tough to submit and would simply beat the crap out of mir!

by john on Dec 22, 2008 6:33 PM EST up reply actions

HOpefully this fight will take the route of a Karo/Nick Diaz style fight rather than nuetralizing eachother. Now THAT would be a sick fight. I don’t think thier even enough though, I think Nog is too superior for that to happen.

by The Anomaly on Dec 22, 2008 2:17 PM EST up reply actions

Im saying it right here right now…. MIR will upset nor and win the interm title

by Tyler JD Brown on Dec 22, 2008 11:51 AM EST reply actions

Agreed. Mir wins by KO. Mir wants to make him tap but I’m not sure if that’ll happen.

by Glenn Barker on Dec 22, 2008 12:19 PM EST reply actions

I feel sorry for you!

by john on Dec 22, 2008 12:29 PM EST up reply actions

mir by KO??? HAHAHAHAHAHA!

by McArthur on Dec 22, 2008 12:35 PM EST up reply actions

yeah thats laughable haha mir its the one who its gonna give the first KO loss to nog when not even crocop or fedor couldnt do it hahaha

by JoW on Dec 22, 2008 1:05 PM EST up reply actions

how many people has mir ko.ed? because nog has never been ko.ed but you think mir is the one to do it.

by roy on Dec 22, 2008 12:48 PM EST up reply actions

Haha, wow. So, you’re expecting Mir to knock out the man who has never been knocked out in his career. FRANK Mir???

To pick Mir is one thing, but to say Mir will win by KO is rridiculous. You must not know who Big Nog is. Contrary to popular belief, he was in fights before his coaching stint on TUF.

by R-Dizzle on Dec 22, 2008 1:04 PM EST up reply actions

Glenn,

Unless, Mir is allowed to hit Nog with a chair (and possible not even then), Mir will not win by KO.

by Jeff on Dec 22, 2008 2:05 PM EST up reply actions

nice. thanks for the link to a site that knowingly infects it’s visitors computers with viruses and other malware.

by jj on Dec 22, 2008 12:31 PM EST reply actions

All Nog has to do is stuff some of Mir’s takedowns in the first 3 minutes of the first round and the fight will be in the bag. Mir has terrible standup and zero cardio. He cannot compete at Nog’s level if Nog shows up in decent shape.

by stevo on Dec 22, 2008 12:35 PM EST reply actions

Watching Mir train, it’s evident that he has some decent low kicks on him.

He doesn’t have as much for hands though, and Nogueira should outbox him this fight.

by Space on Dec 22, 2008 12:39 PM EST up reply actions

You all can congratulate me after the fights.

I’ll just fix your list real quick bro.

by RampageByKnockout on Dec 22, 2008 1:17 PM EST up reply actions

Oh, my bad. I thought you typed fix. You have listed the loser of the Silva/Rampage fight.

by the_mexicutioner on Dec 22, 2008 3:38 PM EST up reply actions

I, on the other hand wish to congratulate you before the fights. Congrats, as I see the outcomes the same way.

by Jeff on Dec 22, 2008 2:07 PM EST up reply actions

Politefully disagree.

Rashad will effectively use his take downs (lay-n-pray) to squeak by in a split decison.

I agree with the rest.

by OJR on Dec 22, 2008 3:17 PM EST up reply actions

OJR,

Man I hope not. Not that I dislike Rashad, I just dislike the lay-n-pray.

by Jeff on Dec 22, 2008 4:50 PM EST up reply actions

Me neither but I don’t see an edge to either fighter besides Rashad’s athletic takedowns.

by OJR on Dec 22, 2008 5:12 PM EST up reply actions

Nog by sub. You heard it here first. Ok I don’t really believe that, but on the off chance it happens I want to be among the first to say it. FYI – It is like -35 windchill here in Minneapolis. I hate those of you in warm states today.

by Jojo on Dec 22, 2008 1:03 PM EST reply actions

I don’t see a Nog sub as that big of a longshot. He definitely has the edge in the standup, and I could easily see him subbing a rocked/gassed Mir.

Nog by TKO late in the 2nd round or early 3rd.

by yohnstoppable on Dec 22, 2008 3:00 PM EST up reply actions

There are only a handful of guys who have been around long enough to make certain types of observations about them. Big Nog is one, there are others like Chuck Liddell, Randy Couture, etc.

Before the Evans fight, Chuck has never been KO’d.

Before the second Mirko fight (the first one being a worked pro wrestling match), Wanderlei Silva had never been KO’d (the Vitor Belfort thing notwithstanding, and it happened YEARS ago).

Before fighting Chuck in the rematch for the belt, Randy Couture had never been KO’d.

My point is that if you’re around long enough, someone eventually finds a way to stop you. I’m not saying that Big Nog will get KO’d or something by Mir, but it is going to happen to him eventually. My guess is that Brock Lesnar will do the deed.

by Graham on Dec 22, 2008 1:22 PM EST reply actions

Chuck got knocked out by Rampage twice ,what are you talking about .Rashad was not the first to ko Chuck.I do agree with you on everybody gets caught, but there is no way that Mir ko’s Nog,he might stun him, he will not ko him,and I also agree that it will probably be Brock that does it

by Scott on Dec 22, 2008 2:03 PM EST up reply actions

Both Rampage losses were TKO’s. In fact, the first one the corner threw in the towel. Neither were classified as KO’s. Randy was TKO’d by Josh Barnett, man, that seems like forever ago.

Someone, and I don’t know who, but someone is going to get Big Nog. Especially due to the way he absorbs punishment. But it sure isn’t going to be Frank Mir.

by Graham on Dec 22, 2008 3:45 PM EST up reply actions

Yea to anyone who thinks Mir will win by KO? How do u even possibly justify this? How many times has Mir won by KO/TKO and against who? How many times has Nog been knocked out???

End of argument… come on now. If Mir wins it will be by decision, that is the only way. Seriously.

by Ballam on Dec 22, 2008 1:39 PM EST reply actions

mmmm no way mir can fight for five round soooooo no way mir is winning this

by JoW on Dec 22, 2008 1:55 PM EST up reply actions

I would not say that, did you notice TUF finale ,he was a lot thinner than usual,I say Mir comes in weighing around 235-240 which almost guarentees that he is a lot better shape than he has been in a long time.

by Scott on Dec 22, 2008 2:06 PM EST up reply actions

If Mir can fight for 5 rounds, I will print out this thread and eat it.

by Jeff on Dec 22, 2008 2:09 PM EST up reply actions

lol put in youtube….

by Nish on Dec 22, 2008 2:31 PM EST up reply actions

I agree with you 100 percent,I can not see Mir winning any other way.Even Mir his self pretty much said that

by Scott on Dec 22, 2008 2:08 PM EST up reply actions

Big Nog

by ActionJackson on Dec 22, 2008 5:04 PM EST up reply actions

About the above comments on knock outs. The last thing I personally want to see happen in ANY mma match is a K.O. Knock outs are too close to hail marys and alot of questions can go unanswered when they happen. T.K.O. is a different story, if you get someone in a position or your striking is simply good enough to where you beat someone into submission then there is much more skill and or technique involved. K.O. hate seeing them and it always beg for a rematch.
