No sH8T, he isnt good on the ground, he is DUTCH! Im not going to lie, Gilbert is a MONSTER in the stand up, but he doesnt stand a chance against Barnett! Its a waste of a match up!
I dont understand why Gilbert doesnt just switch to K-1?

hahah! True! I spent this entire weekend, getting blazed and watching all of Nog’s pride fights… the guy is amazing!
There are some great ones like his fights against:
Sergei (one of my favorite nog fights).
Fedor all 2 1/2 of them
Herring twice
Cro Cop was a classic
Werdum (i enjoyed)
Henderson twice
Yokoi (anaconda choke)
Bob Sapp Legendary performance!
Barnett twice
I like fighters more then I like NOg, but there isnt a single fighter I respect more then Rodrigo Nogueira! Only way you can describe him is as a legendary warrior!

Yep Nog is the only fighter I’ve seen straight eat a Cro Cop high kick to the dome and maintain enough mental faculties to continue fighting; not only that he was stuffed on so many take downs, it’s amazing he didn’t get demoralized; thats some serious heart/grit.

Fedor ate a few head kicks mate … not only that he was dumped on his head by randelman ,,,, one of the most sickening pieces of footage in MMA and he still gets up and submits him. They are both freaks of nature.
Although it must be noted that that Nog was run over by a car as a kid (across his chest), went into a coma and survived … pretty resilient I guess :)

btw, I hear that Gilbert has been cleared to fight in California, to my surprise.

Cro Cop used to have some pretty amazing TDD; anything can happen, but I’ve never seen Yvel display even a half way competent ground game; he couldn’t even stop Frye from taking him down without grabbing the Ropes and he got subbed by Igor (not even going to attempt to spell his last name).
