Randy and Chuck won’t fight, it wouldn’t put either one closer to a title…would it?!

by kevin on Dec 19, 2008 5:03 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

It shouldn’t. I think the two of them are never that far away from a title shot just due to their names being Randy and Chuck. If either one could string together a couple wins, they would probably be granted.

by LJ on Dec 19, 2008 6:15 PM EST up reply actions   0 recs

Na i highly doubt it .. but then again brock did get a title shot after his 2nd fight inthe UFC so it could happen if it brings enough money in… Anyone else believe that if nog beats Mir and fights brock that he’ll lose against brock?? im not a brock fan at all and huge fan of big nog- just nog seems to be getting a bit slower by each fight (my opinion) and he takes sometimes some seriouse punishment before catching the other guy. with brock i think those 3 mins of punishment could be the end of it :S :S – Then we all gonna have to hear that brock is the real deal and he’s unstoppable !! its almost like a living bad dream

The difference is the HW division is still pretty thin, while the LHW division has tons of legit contenders.

by PW on Dec 20, 2008 9:59 AM EST up reply actions   0 recs

im one of the few with you.

by Egads on Dec 20, 2008 4:45 PM EST up reply actions   0 recs

So you dont buy that Randy just fights for the challenge and that titles mean very little to him at this point?

by TapedUpPair on Dec 19, 2008 8:00 PM EST up reply actions   0 recs

forget potential matchups…. this movie could be wildly entertaining for all of us on here/fans of 80’s style action movies. I see Randy’s role similar to Michael Rooker’s in Cliffhanger. He might be the good guy turned bad guy type of roll with no long speaking scenes but I’m actually excited for this movie hearing the cast as opposed to “Red Belt” or the scorpion king 2: Most terrible movie of all time that no one wants to see…thing.

by Crowls on Dec 20, 2008 5:06 AM EST up reply actions   0 recs

In all the names that he considers challenges not one mention of Nog. I’ll leave it at that.

by NameNotRequired on Dec 19, 2008 5:14 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

i no everyone is mad couture lost cuz we cant see the nog-couture fight, but that fight was offered to randy and he didnt give a shit. he just wanted fedor. hes an amazing fighter i just find that pretty disrespectful from a fans standpoint

by Jared on Dec 19, 2008 5:43 PM EST up reply actions   0 recs

He is not amazing. He is very good. Randy has had some huge wins in his career, but a lot of losses as well. Randy was overrated because of his win over Silvia, as people quickly forgot his prior fight when he was beaten soundly by the 205 champ. That is not indicative of an amazing fighter.

by noneed4name on Dec 19, 2008 7:14 PM EST up reply actions   0 recs

you dont have to be like fedor a fighter with no losses to be an amazing fighter.

by Jared on Dec 19, 2008 7:46 PM EST up reply actions   0 recs

I’m not mad Cap’n Paycheck lost. He didn’t get his way, so he tried to take his ball and go home. Screw him.

by PW on Dec 20, 2008 10:01 AM EST up reply actions   0 recs

he wasn’t asked about nog and bringing him up wouldn’t make much sense right now. nog has to fight mir and then if he wins that he has brock to fight, so there’s not much of a chance for randy/nog to happen in the next 8-10 months uless nog loses to mir, which i doubt. like randy said, they have to figure out the whole hw mess and crown an undisputed champ 1rst. i do feel that randy should have never snubbed nog and left the ufc in the 1rst place, but that’s way in the past.

by b.w. on Dec 19, 2008 5:48 PM EST up reply actions   0 recs

Again, my thoughts exactly, as usual… NNR I think your reaching a little bit there.

by BNF on Dec 19, 2008 6:50 PM EST up reply actions   0 recs

BNF, you know my shtick of taking shots at couture. Of course you and b.w are right but that doesn’t mean am not bitter.

Shows how little you know.

by WebGarden on Dec 19, 2008 6:02 PM EST up reply actions   0 recs

Randy thinks he was winning the fight against Brock and he just got caught? I don’t thinks so! I gave the first round to Brock and Brock was winning the 2nd round as well. The only thing Randy did was cut Brock above the eye.

by ProKev on Dec 19, 2008 5:36 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

i don’t think he meant he was winning, he was just saying he was doing what he trained to do, get up off the ground, control the clinch, i think he was hoping to wear brock down so he would gas then he could finish him, i don’t think a rematch would go much differently but i still wouldn’t count him out, i think the best case is mir beating nog (i give mir a better chance than most and think he’ll do it if he comes in shape) then mir and brock will rematch and the nog-randy fight has a better chance of happening

by hughes on Dec 19, 2008 9:25 PM EST up reply actions   0 recs

Randy should fight the winner between Lesnar and Mir/Nog. He should have a rematch. I think he was doing great against Brock. He got cought. Its the whole punchers chance.

by charlie Sharlow on Dec 19, 2008 6:44 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

He lost. He doesn’t deserve to fight the winner of Lesnar and Mir/Nog. Maybe the loser of Mir/Nog. It doesn’t matter if he was doing great. Bottom line is in the end he got smashed.

by LJ on Dec 19, 2008 6:58 PM EST up reply actions   0 recs

Randy should fight the loser of the Mir/Nog match since he lost – it makes sense and we see Randy sooner rather than later and in his case later isn’t as forgiving..

by TNTStudio on Dec 19, 2008 7:29 PM EST up reply actions   0 recs

You can see the prospect of Anderson Silva excites Randy. To be honest his skills are just going to decline further at this point, and I think Silva would win that.

by Brandon on Dec 19, 2008 7:06 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

Anderson would retire Randy.

by PW on Dec 20, 2008 10:02 AM EST up reply actions   0 recs

He didn’t seem that excited. It seemed more like he ducked the question twice. As if he doesn’t want that fight to happen.

by Fugitive on Dec 20, 2008 10:02 AM EST up reply actions   0 recs

I disagree! I think Randy’s style is just what it would take to beat Anderson.I also think Randy is a better fighter now then 5 years ago.

by charlie Sharlow on Dec 19, 2008 7:15 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

Like Dan Henderson did?

by Space on Dec 19, 2008 7:53 PM EST up reply actions   0 recs

henderson got to confident and didn’t stick to his game plan, he thought he could stand with silva and failed, although it is very highly unlikely that silva and randy will ever fight i would probably give the edge to randy based on his style, i think he would take him down and gnp him and win by stoppage, that said if silva landed anything even slightly significant it would be over

by hughes on Dec 19, 2008 9:29 PM EST up reply actions   0 recs

Randy leaves himself open a lot. If he was out there long enough for Liddell to catch him, Silva will have ample time to catch him multiple times.

by NameNotRequired on Dec 19, 2008 10:43 PM EST up reply actions   0 recs

Silva would dominate and win in the first round and if not he’d do it in the 2nd! Randy’s just too slow to fight at LHW these days..

by RoB on Dec 19, 2008 11:51 PM EST up reply actions   0 recs

Who randy should fight:

Nog (but won’t get shot, nog beats brock)
Herring

Randy is crafty but not amazing.

Nog and fedor are in a league of their own and its igorant and insulting to suggest otherwise.

by noname on Dec 19, 2008 9:02 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

People give it up Randy’s time has passed, he should fight Liddell, then Wandy the caveman, then Rampage, and then…bye bye. They are all who cares fight that will just bring in ppvs, cause thats all the UFC wants anyway.

Really ,that is why Fedor said it would be an honor to fight Randy.I guess you are saying Fedor is ignorant. So are the millions of people around the world who think Randy is one of the greatest.Personally I would have suggest that you are the ignorant one

WHAT??? Soooooo…..uuummmmmmmmmmmm…….Randy is a mom you’d like to fuck?

It was a bad try at a joke and I’m aware of that it was huge failure, thanks for pointing it out though.
My girlfriend wouldn’t been too happy about me doing that, I know a couple of more people that would find that the most disgusting, Randy, his wife and myself.
Why are you interrested btw???
A third or so active mmamania visitors seems gay or atleast insecure in their self…
Please step out of the closet, I’m not gonna judge you.

Here is an idea!! Learn how to speak up Randy!! I hate that every interview I can never hear him but the interviewer is blowing my ear up.
