I remember reading an interview with Eddie Bravo in a High Times magazine like 2 or so years ago. I’d have to double check if anyone is interested… he talks about how at first when he was training BJJ he would never get high before hand because he thought it would throw him off his game. Then he decided to puff before rolling, or should I say, he rolled one before rolling, and found that his “feel” seemed to increase when he smoked trees.

As far as BJJ goes, he is sick. He does however seem to get a bit more credit for some techniques than he should. Some of the techniques he has named have been used for a while, but maybe did not necessarily have a name, so he gave it one, and now people think he invented it.

i smoke all the time when training…oddly enough it helps to control your breathing and concentration…doesn’t do much for your cardio though

Ironically, individuals with excellent cardio typically can’t handle the blood pressure lowering effects of pot in anything greater than tiny doses. Tends to make them shaky, light headed, dizzy and unable to concentrate.

THC wise, the best way / most efficient / gets you the highest is:
1) Vaporizer
2) bong
3) bowl (could be wrong about the order of 2 and 3, don’t remember = LOL)
4) blunt/joint
I’ve had a vaporizor for a few months now but don’t really use it all that often. I get WAAAAY too impatient to wait 2-3 minutes for a dang baloon to fill up.
And also, I have yet to notice the BIG difference from the volcano to a cheaper Vapir One 5.0 or such

VM you got 2) and 3) right, bong over bowl for sure. Youre right too about volcano’s not having a BIG difference over other vapes. Its just a quality thing IMO, ive had my volcano for like 2 and half years I believe, still works perfect. Ive seen other vapes break down quickly, personally i highly suggest the volcano. The wait is a pain, thats a given. I just smoke in front of the TV, so i have something to stare at for two minutes.

Dude, bongs are fine because aside from the minimal amt of THC it filters, it also filters the tar and whatever waste that comes with THC. So bongs are ok. Vaporizers are better though!

So I’m watching national geographic channel and this show comes on about marijuana. There is a guy in Canada, who is a liscensed medicinal grower for himself and 2 other people. He has a 1.5 million dollar hydro growing facility. The herb he was growing looked beautiful, but even more impressive was the quantity. He turns the THC into butter and makes cookies and things. He eliminates the smoking to make the adverse effects non existent. True stuff, I dvr’d and still have not watched the whole episode, but extrememly interesting.

biggest issue I have had about eating is that your digestive system greatly slows the immediate effect but extends the high. that’s not bad but I love the process of busting/rolling/lighting up and the immediate rush.

Wouldn’t it seem that Dana White or anyone else at Zuffa would have something to say about the UFC’s main fight commentator being in a magazine that supports and promotes illegal drug use? I’m not against the magazine, marijuana, or the lifestyle whatsoever, but i’m just curious about the “PR” standpoint on something like that… Does it really even matter or would this be a concern?

Do you think the FOX would have Joe Buck comentate on anymore NFL games if he did this? He’s be looking for a new job.

As the sport gets bigger it will probably be more of a problem. Just imagine any of the big sports commentators doing the stuff Joe does. They would be fired immediately. If MMA ever truly does get mainstream he will have to tone it down.

Exactly. PPV is not subject to the FCC rules. Hence, Joe saying, “Donkey vagina”, etc. You will never hear this on Fox, CBS, NBC, ABC, because the FCC would fine the network.

The FCC has nothing to do with it. It’s all about a certain set of morals when viewed on a national level. Any of the HBO boxing guys would suffer the same fate for flaunting a complete diregard for the laws of the US. If MMA ever gets mainstream Joe would have to tone down his antics because his bosses wouldn’t want to have to answer questions about them when asked by the main stream media.
