Maybe he’ll find something he is actually good at.

I hope he doesn’t bump into the mic and get knocked out. Oh wait, I actually do hope that happens.
by DDT on Dec 5, 2008 10:52 AM EST up reply actions 0 recs
Hopefully the mic isn’t moving backwards while throwing a semi-stiff jab.
by chefdaddy on Dec 5, 2008 10:54 AM EST up reply actions 0 recs
wouldn’t be the first time something semi-stiff touched him on the chin

Its still amazes me at all the doors that have opened for Kimbo as a result of a few backyard brawls. Talk about the American DReam!
by john on Dec 6, 2008 11:25 AM EST up reply actions 0 recs
let me guess someone is going to call him out, and he’s gonna run in the ring and pushing and shoving is going to happen, and then his 50 man entourage is going to follow him back to the streets and train, and then he’s gonna ko someone thats an ex-boxer…
Xuck Kim-JOKE and keep him away from MMA and Teen-Nick

Since we are on the topic of irrelevant people getting undeserved attention, Steve-O will be on “Dancing with the Stars” next season.

Uh oh…..here it comes…..heeeerrrreeee iiittttt comes……give it to him, judge…..c’mon now….make chefdaddy happy…..and…and….and….(I can’t even keep count of Stuart’s sentencing, good grief)..it’s a $25 dollar fee and a $75 fee, hehehe….whew, I need a calculator….Post sentence bail (WTF!) denied…all concurrent sentences (BS!!) totaling minimum of 8-10 years. Well, better late than never.
by chefdaddy on Dec 5, 2008 1:21 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
not all concurrent. two consecutive 18-72 month sentences after the 15 year sentence. They are saying 8-10 based on early release.

He still got away with murder. He can get parole as early as 6.

You’re right Crowls, I was trying to add all that up in my head while typing. oops. And Mexi, yeah he got away with some heinous stuff, but it’s nice to see him doing at least some hard time. Hopefully his parole gets turned down…..every time.

Just good marketing for K-1 if nothing else. I’m sure his “commentary” will be pretty short lived, and they just want to introduce him to the Japanese people……they seem to be pretty intrigued by what some people refer to as “freakshows”. He’ll be a star over there…mark my words.

first drake and josh, now japanese wrestling (I’m assuming) what’s next? Oh wait, he was already a porno security guy! OK he’s making a living, but I don’t consider him a martial artist, so why do I care what he’s doing? I’d rather here about chefdaddies new job or john’s asperations to work for Zuffa. Kimbo could get shot 52 times over a 25 cent pack of gum, and my life wouldn’t be affected, unless you count the chuckle and grin as affecting me!
chef, I wasn’t throwing you under the bus, just in amazement because you’ve been very vocal lately! My bad buddy!
by kevin on Dec 5, 2008 10:45 AM EST reply actions 0 recs
No problem man! While I tend to be laid back by nature, I get more than a little @n@l retentive out of the blue over little things sometimes (moderation). Did you like my comment about being the brother who hides while dad yells at the other sibling? lol I was a little frustrated that my MMA comments weren’t getting thru, but I blasted someone on here and that came up after a short time. Granted, I’m glad Mania explained how moderation happens and I never actually thought about that must drive him/them nuts having to check comments every 30 seconds.
by chefdaddy on Dec 5, 2008 10:58 AM EST up reply actions 0 recs
I get it too, but he chose to have a web site! What gets me is when a bunch of hate filed cursing comments get through, and my well thought out one is in moderation all day! I realize I’m on “auto moderate” due to my regulars status, but it does get aggravating. Like I said, I do know where mania is coming from too, it’s like when your kids ask for candy, you say no, then they ask every 30 seconds until you say yes. We chose to have kids, mania chose to have us! lol

sorry Mania!!! LMFAO, you must think we’re a couple of energizer bunnies. Don’t sweat it, sometimes you just have to sit back and shake your head. On the bright side, we have gotten you to come out of your cave and chat with us on a more personal level. hehehehe. kevin, we should stop commenting on this or Mania is going to ground us from posting for a week.
by chefdaddy on Dec 5, 2008 11:17 AM EST up reply actions 0 recs
hey chef, I’ve never cursed at or been derogatory to mania! I love this site, and like to bust balls! I would never have the patience that mania has! Not that he cares, but I’m sure he knows I’m just messing around!

In all fairness, I would issue more than a few verbal smacks on the wrist if I were Mania. There have been a few times where I have been rather of a **** and actually opened up my Email expecting Mania to have sent me something telling to chill out or stop posting. There! I’m stopping before that happens!
by chefdaddy on Dec 5, 2008 11:28 AM EST up reply actions 0 recs
I’ve gotten that email!! lol, I was bugging him about moderation, he emailed me my comment and a note saying to put it in the right topic etc. very nice of him to respond actually!

You would find it funny if he was shot 52 times? What the fuck did he do to you.
by tyler on Dec 5, 2008 11:40 AM EST up reply actions 0 recs
funny, no, but it would have ZERO affect on my life!
I’m not like you guys, I don’t personally care about anyone except maybe a handful of people. Maybe you can change my mind tyler, please explain how Kimbo dying would affect your life!?? maybe I’m way off base here
by kevin on Dec 5, 2008 11:47 AM EST up reply actions 0 recs
You said you’d get a “chuckle or grin” if he was shot. That means you’d be getting some amusement out of it right? If you want to talk about it having ZERO affect on your life if any of the fighters talked about here or on any other site were to get shot it probably wouldn’t have an affect either. So if that’s what you base your interest on the sport over is whether it has a direct effect on you or your own little world then why comment or care about any of it?

First, let me re-state that I am neither a fan or a “hater” of ‘ol Kimbo. That said, how can one comment on something one can’t do? That would be like watching the medical channel and listening to me comment on nuerosurgery.
by chefdaddy on Dec 5, 2008 10:53 AM EST reply actions 0 recs
chef, you been in a fight before? comment a way, you have just as much experience as Kimbo! I don’t hate that he’s making money, I hate that he thinks he can fight! I’d fight him, just because he’s big, black and has a beard, doesn’t mean he’s tough. I didn’t say I’d beat him, but I’d fight him!
by kevin on Dec 5, 2008 11:00 AM EST up reply actions 0 recs
It has been years since I’ve thrown a punch. Most I’ve done recently, and it’s been a while on this, is help bounce someone out of a bar (high school wrestling actually makes that easier than I ever thought it would be). I’m not much of a fighter, I’m mellow by nature, easy to get along with and my size (for some reason I honestly can’t comprehend) tends to make the drunks who push the subject think twice. I sure as sh*t wouldn’t fight him. I watch MMA, but don’t practice it. I don’t hate him making money, and I do think he very well knows how he in all reality fits into the mix when it comes to pro fighting. He knows he won’t ever hold a belt that wasn’t purchased at J.C. Penny’s. His whole hype, as well as the hate that tends to go his way, IMO, should 100% be placed on Shaw.
by chefdaddy on Dec 5, 2008 11:25 AM EST up reply actions 0 recs
I agree, he’s making money, that I can respect!
I haven’t been in a fight in probably 4 years! I hit a guy that wouldn’t shut up (after about 10 warnings) he then proceeded to hit me (while I wasn’t looking) a few minutes later with brass knuckles. 2-3 inch cut in my eye brow. I went after him, he ran. needless to say, I learned (at too old an age) that it’s not worth it now a days. I can remember when a fight was a fight, then it was over, not anymore! thats back when I was drinking though!

You know what is sad?
When people are jealous about another man’s success.
Yes, the guy was a porn security guy. Yes, he fought at backyard barbeques. Yes, he was forced into deep water too soon with EXC and was exposed as the rookie he was…
…yes, every single one of you that show obvious jealousy regarding his success, would change places with him in a heartbeat.
by introvert on Dec 5, 2008 11:32 AM EST reply actions 0 recs
I’d have taken that porn job in a heartbeat, hehehehe, that job HAD to have had some decent fringe benefits!!!
by chefdaddy on Dec 5, 2008 11:49 AM EST up reply actions 0 recs
Hmmm..security on a porn set. That could lead to some, uh sticky situations.
by Jeff on Dec 5, 2008 12:08 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
what’s your point introvert? sad thing is, every guy that would change places with him, has more training under there belt than he does. He made a name for himself beating up guys that had no business being in a fight! Jealous, no not really, I’ve always said, I’d like a ton of money, but I like my privacy! I can go anywhere he can go, but in total anonymity.
I’d bet my whole bank roll that philqny could submit kimbo!
by kevin on Dec 5, 2008 11:50 AM EST up reply actions 0 recs
Kimbo got famous because of how he beat the guys that he beat. I can assure you that if I won a bunch of fights on some youtube videos that I wouldn’t be famous like Kimbo. Kimbo smashed Big-D’s eye. That thing looked brutal afterwards. Even in his loss to Sean Gannon, he left a knot the size of a baseball on that guys head. Then he just brutalized all of the other guys, leaving them bloody and on their backs. This wasn’t just a guy beating up street thugs. This was a relatively intimidating man brutalizing peoples faces worse than what I have seen in MMA (at least in the case of Big D. I have never see an eye look like that). Combine that with the fact that it was bare knuckles, and you had a marketable guy. Even the UFC was once interested. Why else would they have signed Sean Gannon?
by RyanHobbs on Dec 5, 2008 12:54 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs

I can’t believe so many guys bothered to post stupid comments about a hating someone for no other reason than he was offered an opportunity to cash in and he took it.If you want to blame anyone for his popularity blame YouTube and the management at ProElite for marketing him as the BADDEST MAN ON THE PLANET.Kimbo did what anyone in this greedy fucking culture would have done if they were offered 500,000 to fight on CBS.People who hate someone because of jealousy is really low. This guy never claimed he was the best fighter in mma he was marketed that way by Elite.Japan is a good place for him to go,and get away from the sick people in this culture who are so eager to see someone fall on their face because it makes them feel better about their boring monotonous lives.
by tyler on Dec 5, 2008 11:57 AM EST reply actions 0 recs

I heard he was going to fight Seth Petrachilla(spelling) in Japan. They have been showing Kimbo fights on Shotime almost every night. It is funny after everything that has happened how I am very skeptical of the fights. The first fight with cantrell just looks like the guy took a dive. I am on the fence about the Tank fight. I counted at least 6 times Kimbo hit him in the back of the head.
