how bout cung le sorts through the rumor that hed rather do movies instead of fight…

by brendan on Dec 3, 2008 1:22 AM EST up reply actions   0 recs

He would rather do movies than fight, he pretty much said as much on the show that he’s still filming and that he’d get back to fighting as soon as they threatened to strip him of the title. I wouldn’t be surprised if Cung just abandons ship on the fight game all together.

I feel a lot stupider after having watched that episode! What the F was the point in that? Lawler vs. Cung Le a SUPERFIGHT? F OFF! Who the hell gave these idiots a show! I have no doubts that any combination of “US REGULARS” could do a better job than these BOZO’s! What a PATHETIC COnversation that was!

by john on Dec 3, 2008 10:24 AM EST up reply actions   0 recs

I agree that the conversation was pretty bad, but that would be a great fight and it would be billed as a superfight, if for no other reason than both are current world cahmpions. I’d like to see it, but I’d rather see Lawler, if not both of them, in the UFC.

Yea I gotta say, the best panels have been the ones with Mayhem Miller on them, that guys entertaining. I like Bas but as far as Kenny goes they need to get a replacement.

not saying that it wouldnt be an exciting fight, I am just saying that it is far from a super fight!

Cung Le has 6 fights an Lawler is a UFC reject, who is a tough guy but would still be a middle of the pack UFC middleweight.

At a time when we are seeing REAL Superfights between BJ Penn vs. GSP and Wand vs. Rampage 3, you cant call Lawler/Le a Super fight!

Mayhem and Bas are Great! Kenny has got to go!

Agreed John

That reminds me when they talked about Ron Krucks kid kicking him in the liver Bas comes back with “I’ll teach him to go for the pills next time” I was laughing pretty hard when Bas pulled that one out.

why? world class kickboxer vs a guy who got knocked out by a 155lb fighter isnt something id wanna see cung le would murder him standing and lawler has a shit ground game ask mayhem miller

by randy murders on Dec 3, 2008 1:41 AM EST up reply actions   0 recs

Why the hell does everyone keep bringing up that lawler got knocked out by nick diaz?? it was over 4 years ago and you people act like diaz dominated him, he got caught!! happens to alot of people.. and jason miller has good jiu jitsu, hes subbed dennis kang before, do you think his ground game sucks???

anyway i have no interest in this fight, cung lee wants too fight nobody!! and that show was very stupid!!!

by mike22 on Dec 3, 2008 11:02 AM EST up reply actions   0 recs

Man this episode was so retarded. Pavelich just kept hyping up MFC and Cung Le couldnt string a simple sentence together without stuttering and fumbling around for excuses. Just admit it pal – You dont want to fight anymore. Add Bas and kenny jerking off the panel to get the fourth circle of hell.

“The greatest Super Fight ever”. Im not knocking either of the fighters, I happen to be a big fan of both, but you have to see the comedy in that. Really, Lawler has to get back in the UFC and fight some top MWs. The Lee fight will never happen, he’s a “movie star” now.

I would like to see it, but I doubt I would pay for it.

by Grembone on Dec 3, 2008 10:04 AM EST up reply actions   0 recs

I would like to see that fight. But I dont see Cung Le fighting anymore, period. It will be a YEAR come Feb or March of 09 without a fight?? And he said he has a couple more movies in the works early this year?

Just when does he plan on defending that cracker jack prize of a title??? They gonna let him go til summer or fall of 09….Why not make it a year and a half without a fight, just holding onto the belt

Choose one, movies or fighting. If you are a title holder, it is your OBLIGATION as so to defend it. And not once every year to year and a half

Cung is RIDICULUS and the worst champion in MMA history!
The dude is 6-0 with only a notable win over Frank Shamrock (which in a rematch i think frank would win) and hes out “focusing on (his) movie career”
what the fuck is that!?

vietkong P***y needs to step up and FIGHT ( that IS his job, right?)

by SoCalStunNa on Dec 3, 2008 3:12 AM EST reply actions   0 recs

I think Cung Le would knock him out

by RiverHorror on Dec 3, 2008 3:35 AM EST reply actions   0 recs

I think Robbie would knock Cung out. It’s simple Frank hit Cung a bunch of times on the chin, but he’s not known for being the best striker and not packing alot of power. If Robbie hit’s him on the chin, I’m pretty sure he’ll go down.

by Jared on Dec 3, 2008 7:28 AM EST reply actions   0 recs

Im right there with ya, I thought I was one of the only people that thought Shamrock was winning that fight till his overly dramatic bowing out.

by Luppers on Dec 3, 2008 8:29 AM EST up reply actions   0 recs

I didnt think Shamrock was winnign the fight, I’d say Franks only chance in a rematch is to take him down, but CUng is tough to take down, he tossed Frank away a few times seemingly effortlessly

by 1-0 via Arm Triangle on Dec 3, 2008 10:45 AM EST up reply actions   0 recs

If Shamrock stopped showboating he would tear through Cung without much difficulty. Cung has no ground game period. Shamrock could end it early if his ego didnt prohibit him from using his sense.

come on pavelich, put your house on the market; in all likelihood the fight would be in edmonton so i’m down.

by JB on Dec 3, 2008 10:27 AM EST reply actions   0 recs

I would like to see them fight but a “superfight” this is not!

by jet99 on Dec 3, 2008 11:03 AM EST reply actions   0 recs

if it isn’t it a super fight it is pretty damn close to being 1. After all they are both champions, although the belt that Ruthless holds is for a defunct Org.
