The “in UFC history” tagline is getting really old.

aGREED! Already a UFC 94 fight video? WTF!

by john on Dec 2, 2008 7:45 AM EST up reply actions

ASK and I shall receive!

BREAKING nEWS***

Aoki vs. Eddie Alvarez December 31 at K-1 Dynamite!

This is the perfect fight for Eddie considering he has another fight in AC 30 days later because he wont suffer any damage from Aoki. If Aoki wins, it will be by submission so Eddie will be good to fight again in January.

I am a huge fan of both fighters but I gotta go with my hometown homie. Eddie Alvarez!

by john on Dec 2, 2008 7:58 AM EST up reply actions

by the way, this news was confirmed by Alvarez’s manager Monte Cox!

Its ON!!!!

by john on Dec 2, 2008 7:59 AM EST up reply actions

Tim Sylvia will fight at K-1 Dynamite against some dude named TBA.

In Febuary Sylvia is trying to fight Ken Shamrock in some small, texas show! LMAO

by john on Dec 2, 2008 8:07 AM EST up reply actions

I bet big tim couldn’t even finish shemrock..

by shamo84 on Dec 2, 2008 8:10 AM EST up reply actions

Are we there yet? “no” are we there yet? “no” WTF!!! hurry up already!

by allamerican on Dec 2, 2008 9:09 AM EST up reply actions

Agreed…so i guess no title for this?

by Robert on Dec 2, 2008 9:20 AM EST up reply actions

I cant wait for this fight!

by Kdog on Dec 2, 2008 4:28 AM EST up reply actions

i hope it as good as it is getting worked out to be, it has all the potential but i hope it isn’t a freak injury or really early KO or sub i hope we get 5 rounds of blood, sweat, and tears (hopefully BJ’s after he loses ahah) and same with the machida fight that can turn out really boring fight, or a great one hard to tell anyways just hoping it is everything its being worked up for

by Nish on Dec 1, 2008 11:39 PM EST reply actions

I think the BJ-GSP fight will more than live up to it’s potential. As far as the Machida-Silva fight goes, I have really high expectations, and I’m really hoping it turns out to be Liddell-Silva and not Vera-Jardine.

by GregC on Dec 2, 2008 2:29 AM EST up reply actions

That trailer makes it look bunk compared to all the press and pulicity its getting LoL, made it seem average for all the money the UFC will be puting into this hype machine. BJ BJ BJ!!!

by ( (AdamG ) ) on Dec 1, 2008 11:40 PM EST reply actions

Patience grasshopper…lol. The fight is still 2 months out, and they have 4 other event cards to worry about first. 92 and 93 are gopoing to be pretty awesome too. But, after 93 is over, they will start calling this the greatest fight in MMA history, or some such superlative. I just wish they hadn’t wasted that line on Brock and Lesnar. This fight is bigger, and WAY more important. Go BJ!

by --utaptout-- on Dec 1, 2008 11:51 PM EST up reply actions

It’ll probably go down as “The most anticipated rematch in UFC history”!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

by Shadyone33 on Dec 2, 2008 1:06 PM EST up reply actions

well, to be fair, they did qualify brock and randy as the biggest in terms of ppv sales.

by JB on Dec 2, 2008 1:40 PM EST up reply actions

Even you can’t be buying the BJ is an incredible athlete spin right AdamG?

by NameNotRequired on Dec 2, 2008 1:57 AM EST up reply actions

I buy what i know and thats that BJ Penn is the best fighter in the world. Period. No one is gonna sell me on BJ or St-Pierre, i know both of their careers and skills like the back of my hand, i know whats unrealistic about them both in the marketing department and yes, most athletic is unrealistic but best athlete (as in participates in a sport and is one of the best at it) yes thats realistic.

by ( (AdamG ) ) on Dec 2, 2008 2:18 AM EST up reply actions

Adam, I would say you may know GSP’s career and skills like the back of your hand but with Penn it is more like the palm of your hand.

Sorry, bro. Had to say it. Just having some fun with you. Everybody knows where your love is.

by PJJ on Dec 2, 2008 10:11 AM EST up reply actions

LoL NICE!! Well played! What up PJJ, been waiting for some real opposition in here, soooo excited for this fight, for years now me and GORD/you have been going at it over this battle, and now its here (kind of ) good luck to you and your fighter. Gotta go check the palm of my hand . . Oh uhh i mean BJPENN.COM uhhh huh LoL LMAO!!

by ( (AdamG ) ) on Dec 2, 2008 12:50 PM EST up reply actions

His incredible flexibility does make him an athletic freak, but he’s certainly not an incredible athlete. That’s part of what makes this fight interesting, it’s an amazing athlete (GSP) fighting an athletic freak (BJ), who both have adapted their strengths to their best advantage.

by GregC on Dec 2, 2008 2:24 AM EST up reply actions

WORD!

by ( (AdamG ) ) on Dec 2, 2008 3:18 AM EST up reply actions

wow sick card- i can see them re-doing the hype video though, but its going to be a amazing night. Im picking GSP and Machida on this one. I just hope that its not a Split decesion win and its a submission or a K.O. don’t feel like listeing to ppl’s excuses when their favourite fighter loses.

by ricky on Dec 1, 2008 11:40 PM EST reply actions

I’m actually a little disappointed with the rest of the card. But for my money, you could have circus midgets fight on a trampoline made of latex and I would still pay full price as long as I got to see GSPENN2…lol.

by --utaptout-- on Dec 1, 2008 11:54 PM EST up reply actions

video no longer available. bummer

by Tom Ace on Dec 1, 2008 11:49 PM EST reply actions

Impossible for the Machida vs Thiago to be boring then again people who post here arent known for being bright lol!

by Khaos_Warrior on Dec 1, 2008 11:50 PM EST reply actions

Well, question… Was Machida vs any of his last 3 opponents exciting?

by ben on Dec 2, 2008 12:08 AM EST up reply actions

No!He even made a Tito Ortiz fight boring until the last minute. That’s why Machida at 5 and 0 in the UFC isn’t getting a title shot and it took Jon Fitch running his record to 8 and 0 before he got a title shot.Meanwhile Anderson Silva 2nd fight in UFC and a title shot. The UFC will go out of their way to push a guy who’s marketable and Machida isn’t despite his undefeated record.

by Lincoln on Dec 2, 2008 12:22 AM EST up reply actions

I thought the fight against Sokoudjou was pretty good. He worked that Arm Triangle nice. It’s also not a submisission you see a lot.

by Shadyone33 on Dec 2, 2008 1:10 PM EST up reply actions

i don’t get that. i find arm triangles like the easiest subs to slap on in mma. most people don’t see them coming.

by JB on Dec 2, 2008 1:42 PM EST up reply actions

Two best athletes in the sport????Two of the best pound for pound fighter but athletes come on!!!! Gsp is ten times the athlete BJ will ever be. GSP 3rd TKO

by Irish on Dec 2, 2008 12:04 AM EST reply actions

Sport = atheletes…… they didn’t say they are the 2 most “athletic” people in the sport

by Psyqo78®™ on Dec 2, 2008 1:42 AM EST up reply actions

BJ!!! BJ wins by domination. BJ by submission

by ben on Dec 2, 2008 12:07 AM EST reply actions

War Penn!! War Silva!!!

by Ground-Game on Dec 2, 2008 12:16 AM EST reply actions

I wonder if there will ever be a promo video that doesn’t contain the phrase “in UFC history.”

by Amos on Dec 2, 2008 12:17 AM EST reply actions

This fight actually is UFC HISTORY though

by SoCalStunNa on Dec 2, 2008 1:27 AM EST up reply actions

whats funny is that this is the first time they should be using that line.

by ( (AdamG ) ) on Dec 2, 2008 3:19 AM EST up reply actions

Word.

by The Anomaly on Dec 2, 2008 3:47 AM EST up reply actions

lol seriously, get a new line already

by brendan on Dec 2, 2008 1:30 AM EST up reply actions

Goddamn, I hope BJ gets his spoiled, rich-kid, bitch ass handed to him. I think BJ will lose to GSP , go back down to LW and get schooled by a smarter, faster, hungrier Kenny Florian. I know BJ has a lot of nuthuggers on this sight be we will soon learn that the “new” BJ is no better than the lazy shit-head who lost to Pulver and Hughes.

by Balls on Dec 2, 2008 1:14 AM EST reply actions

gsp is gonna get bitchslapped so bad he’ll never want to fight again. bj is gonna gsp’s blood off his face.

by jojomcbean on Dec 2, 2008 2:27 AM EST reply actions

They’re both “great” athletes because they’re both champions.

by Kdog on Dec 2, 2008 4:33 AM EST reply actions

these fights have been comfirmed for the undercard by ufc.com

daniel cramer tuf 7 vs matt aroyo ko of the night by cramer

by liamd on Dec 2, 2008 8:33 AM EST reply actions

crap, crap, and crap.

by JB on Dec 2, 2008 1:44 PM EST up reply actions

Can’t wait for this fight, its gonna be huge but another video trailer already? UFC 92, which is another big fight card still hasn’t taken place and I’ve hardly seen anything for 93. I guess the UFC’s gonna push 94 really hard in attempts to make it the biggest ppv ever. I can’t say I blame them though, this card no doubts has the makings to be one of the best ever.

Personally, I think GSP’s gonna dominate Penn in this fight, he’ll be too big, stronger and faster. He’ll wear Penn down in the later rounds eventually stopping him via tko or getting the UD.

by mmanutz on Dec 2, 2008 9:43 AM EST reply actions

Super Card! I think my pants just got tighter.

by sam on Dec 2, 2008 10:45 AM EST reply actions

Not for sure how yall feel, but with all the press this fight has been getting, that trailor really didnt do anything to pump me up for the fight. They need to do a better job on the trailor

by See What Had Happend Was !!!! on Dec 2, 2008 11:42 AM EST reply actions

Was kind of disappointed with this trailer its so quick, and doesn’t seem to give ucf 94 justice, I was expecting more. Ya someone mentioned greatest fight in ufc history, it is funny they mention this almost every card LOL.

by nathan on Dec 2, 2008 12:10 PM EST reply actions

I love Thiago’s little trademark move! Always looks like “all in a days work”

by balthazar on Dec 2, 2008 4:23 PM EST up reply actions

after watching this video, i think i just wet myself.

by JB on Dec 2, 2008 1:44 PM EST reply actions

Well, i dont know about the wetting myself but, that guy was definitely making a prayer. It looks more serious than i thought.

by MMA Fight Videos on Dec 2, 2008 6:38 PM EST up reply actions

This match looks serious!
