Does the video teach you how to break your hand when you punch someone?
by ViolentMike on Dec 1, 2008 12:07 PM EST up reply actions
Haha! I guess he was teaching that earlier when he was tellin’ us to slightly twist your hands inward when punching or somethin’ like that. I didn’t really know that ‘till now…The counters are cool, but I like the takedown tips. My wrestling friends can’t teach me that!

I love the technical aspect of fighting. Sure the brawling is exciting to see but to watch someone sucessfully execute technique whether standing or grappling is a sight to behold. Thanks for the clip Mania.

He should NOT have put this video out yet. AA is probably at home studying it right now, picking up some pointers.
by chefdaddy on Nov 30, 2008 11:12 AM EST reply actions
There’s plenty of training, fighting and seminar footage on Fedor. Has been for years. I highly doubt this 10 minute clip will prove to be his undoing.
by Machine on Nov 30, 2008 11:27 AM EST up reply actions
this video is older than dirt, so i dont see andrei using it as an advantage. i think a.a. has an instuctional vid as well. they will probably both use fight footage to study one another. nothing will help andrei if he cant keep this fight off the ground. :)

Fedor is teaching these people bad striking habits. His form is not commonly used for a good reason. Why do you guys think he keeps breaking his hand and thumb. Then again who am i to be saying this.
by NameNotRequired on Nov 30, 2008 3:13 PM EST up reply actions
Study up, it doesn’t matter. Bas always said that executing in a fight is much more difficult then in the dojo or gym. This is Fedor. He doesn’t even get to the ground most of the time… You do! LOL
by Dan on Nov 30, 2008 11:37 AM EST up reply actions
Technically, AA is a MUCH better striker!!!

all good my friend, all good. it is funny that occasionally one of my kids will look over my shoulder and laugh at me for using “lol”. apparently it’s NOT cool for us older curmudgeons to use the lingo of the younger generation. I normally use it not cuz i think I’m funny and am laughing at my own joke, but to let others know I’m joking. This is what happens when I don’t do it that one time! Ummm….lol.

MMA forum or debating wether people are joking, lying, or telling the truth?
by Nish on Nov 30, 2008 5:50 PM EST up reply actions
Both! You must be new here, but this is kinda how things go down on slow days. Post often enough to become a regular and you’ll find it highly entertaining. If you prefer not to, Use your mouse to scroll down.
by chefdaddy on Nov 30, 2008 6:41 PM EST up reply actions
It’s amazing how dumb some people are. He’s obviously kidding; does he really think a professional fighter, Andrei Arlovski, gets his striking technique from watching youtube videos? That training method is reserved for you armchair warriors alone.
by Brandon on Nov 30, 2008 2:29 PM EST up reply actions
Brandon. Thank you for being one of the few who got that joke (a few others came around later, hehehe). Was the joke that bad? Or are some too anal retentive?
by chefdaddy on Nov 30, 2008 3:58 PM EST up reply actions
Wait, wait, wait…….as long as you all have been posting on MMA blogs, you cant be saying that people have never seriously posted such things, are you?
by Machine on Nov 30, 2008 4:31 PM EST up reply actions
I’m very sure they have. I was relying on the fact that I’m a regular as well as one of the “class clowns” on this site. But I will admit, if I thought someone had said that seriously, I would’ve blasted them. and had a GREAT time doing it.
by chefdaddy on Nov 30, 2008 4:44 PM EST up reply actions
loling is a pet peeve of mine and it annoys the shit out of me simply because people over use it. and how many times has anyone really rolled on the floor laughing? don’t answer if you are a religious shroomer.

Hahahaha, like this clip could make AA survive in that fight… 10 minutes of things that I guess he already knows since years ago.
This clip is longer than what the fight between Fedor and Andrei would be, AA is out under the 2 minute mark
This clip wasn’t good in any way, I’m not bashing Fedor though… it’s the clip, even quite new fans knows this stuff.
Fedor win by beheading in 1 RD.

i hope your name doesn’t refer to how you worship him.
by roy on Dec 1, 2008 11:48 AM EST up reply actions
You and JOhn should better start a religion. Fedor is God, and patron saint is St. Pierre…;)
by Syd[a.k.a. "The Negation"] on Dec 1, 2008 5:03 PM EST up reply actions
Instead of worshipping Fedor, try thinking about worshipping whom Fedor worships.
by RolloTomasi on Jan 26, 2009 6:39 PM EST up reply actions
Man thats exactly how he executes these moves in fights in much more difficult situations!!
i like AA chances more so than anybody he has fought so far, he is very athletic and has great striking, and regardless of what other people say, AA has looked good in is last couple of fights!
All the same Fedor is still the fav here.
Iv stopped asking you guys about ufc 95 no point!
by mo on Nov 30, 2008 12:05 PM EST reply actions
UFC 95 will be randy vs a. silva for the mw title, brock vs fedor for the wamma hw title, b.j penn vs kimbo, miguel torres vs josh barnett at a catch weight, gsp vs the undertaker in a hell in the cell match, kieth jardine vs rashad evans in a titty twister contest and mmamania vs jesse holland in moderation contest. there, are you satisfied! :)

im free! i think, at least for now. im still missing a few.
by b.w. on Nov 30, 2008 2:08 PM EST up reply actions
LOL!
What a card, that’s a classic but I think you’re missing out of some undercard fights, just heard that there was a “Tag Ladder Match”… great stuff.
Also the fight between Dana White and Gary Shaw, heard this was with XARM rules, Dana is the favourite in this fight but you never know…
by JonnyBoy on Nov 30, 2008 2:46 PM EST up reply actions
dana vs tito in a “biggest ego match”. the world may not survive.
by b.w. on Nov 30, 2008 4:09 PM EST up reply actions
id like aa’s chances more if he had a better chin. at some point, in the first 2 minutes fedor is going to tag him and im not sure if aa will be able to recover.
by COR on Dec 1, 2008 1:22 AM EST up reply actions
This would be good info if it doesn’t result in a broken hand. Chances are you are going to hurt yourself if you listen to this garbage.
by Djs3467 on Nov 30, 2008 12:59 PM EST reply actions
Let me know where I can pick up your training video. It has to be great if you know more about fighting than Fedor. lol
by chefdaddy on Nov 30, 2008 1:23 PM EST up reply actions
He never said he could fight better than Fedor, but it’s common sense not to throw punches like this unless you want a broken hand. If you had an ounce of boxing training you’d know that. There’s a reason Fedor repeatedly keeps breaking his hand and it’s because he throws punches like this.
by Novelle on Nov 30, 2008 2:46 PM EST up reply actions
Honest question. How many times has Fedor broken his hand? And while certain techniques may stay the same between boxing and MMA, one would think some techniques HAVE to differ b/c of the difference in the size and structure of the gloves. Either way, you guys fight your way, I’ll listen to the baddest guy on the planet.
by chefdaddy on Nov 30, 2008 4:01 PM EST up reply actions
I think Fyodor’s style and punching technique delivers some painful results. Try punching your leg, hehe!
by Syd[a.k.a. "The Negation"] on Dec 1, 2008 5:07 PM EST up reply actions
Negation! howdy!! I admittedly haven’t been trained in striking, just wrestling. but I do find it hard to side with nobodies when the TOP HW in the entire world tells me something. Maybe it’s ignorance on my part, but from an outsider’s perspective, it is common sense. I mean, why would I believe guys who wash dishes for a living and work out at a gym over Fedor? Doesn’t make sense.
by chefdaddy on Dec 2, 2008 2:50 AM EST up reply actions
“why would I believe guys who wash dishes for a living and work out at a gym over Fedor?”… Nice one chefdaddy-o!Right on the button!

Does someone has the feeling that Fedor is more technical than AA?
by zheka on Nov 30, 2008 1:30 PM EST reply actions
Sweet he teaches us how to break our hand!!!!
by Tha_pimp_man on Nov 30, 2008 1:55 PM EST reply actions
Well if it stays on the feet I think AA has the advantage but thats unlikely fedor will own AA on the ground like he would anyone, he’s probably the most technical fighter I’ve ever seen on the ground other than bj. Still I would love to see fedor fight A silva at 205 that would be sweet, no way could fedor beat A silva in the stand up game and no way could silva beat fedor on the ground. Nice clip though.

How does that punch work with out breaking your wrist?
by Krav on Nov 30, 2008 3:04 PM EST reply actions
What are the odds for this fight? Fedor gonna be paying out more then 1.3?
by BMO on Nov 30, 2008 3:41 PM EST reply actions
AHAHAH “AA is prob studying this now”…dude this was the basics of boxing and the basics of wrestling/jiu jitsu for control. AA is sick at both and so if fedor so this is entertainingnggn more then anythign..
