I agree Wanderlei seem’s alot more confident than rampage- that interview just didnt’ seem right, when someone says over and over and over that he aint’ worried about nothing, it clearly means he is worried about them.. seems like he still can’t get over the fact that he lost to forrest after all his big ear jokes he made against him. I like page but if he loses thats bad news for him they probebly give him Keith Jardine if he loses against Silva.

I agree Ricky, something just didnt seem right in that interview. I hope he doesnt get slaughtered because I like him and wanna see a good fight, but I got Wandi in this one.

Sorry Guys, I disagree, I think we’re going to be seeing the best Rampage we’ve ever seen in the next few yrs, he’s at the right age, right amount of experience, recently hit his lowest low, and now he’s got good people around him, he’s going nowhere but up from here.
by THORAZINE on Nov 29, 2008 12:20 AM EST up reply actions 0 recs
Maybe it was the ridiculously weird acoustic guitar music that’s putting ricky off? Yuck.
That said, there is definitely something different about Rampage in this interview. Lets hope it’s a positive difference and we’re treated to an absolute war between two legends at the top of their respective games.
I can’t call the outcome right now but holy hell, I can’t wait to see it go down.
by Canucklehead on Nov 29, 2008 1:21 AM EST up reply actions 0 recs
I still think he has a major problem between the ears.

yeah rampage dosent seem real hyped bout this fight but i wouldnt be surprised if he kickes silva ass this time. the last time they fought in pride rampage had just got done going 3 rounds with chuck liddell and he took some big shots then an hour later fought silva. He has a lot more experience now and seems to have his head right. It should be an intresting and badass fight

You can tell that even he doesn’t buy the whole “i am a better fighter because i take supplements line.” No more funny jokes either. This is gonna be bad. I think he’s gonna go out there and completely freeze.

jens pulver said the same kind of things before getting koed in 1 by garcia. he was with matt hume in seattle and everything is new and improved. sometimes a change of scenery and a new camp can be a good thing, but he has to prove it in the cage. i like wandi by ko in the 2nd.
by b.w. on Nov 28, 2008 1:48 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
AS a die hard wanderlei fan, I hate to say it but Rampage is going to beat wanderlei. Prior to the 2 KO’s in pride Rampage was winning both fights. Referee questionably stood them up too fast when Rampage was on top. That wont happen in the Octagon where Rampage has a vicious ground n pound. Rampage isnt going to play around with Wanderlei in the stand up. He is going to take Wandy down and pound him out.
We all know Rampage’ achiles heel is the tai clinch. At the wolfslair Rampage has the luxury of training with Bisping who is about the same size as wandy and Bisping has one of the most under rated clinch games.
I hate to say it, but Rampage is going to win this fight!

hey john i asked you in a previous thread but whatever… you gonna lock up nogueira at -350 or wait till the lines start moving? im betting my whole account on him for sure!

here here John…next tile holder (assuming Dana screws Machida again) will be Rampage
by McArthur on Nov 28, 2008 3:01 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
i agree john, although it depends on what rampage shows up i thought he looked a little fat in that video but i think he wants this one bad and rampage is known to not so up to fights about every 4th fight and he already got that one out of the way with forrest
by roy on Nov 28, 2008 3:10 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
I will be able to tell who will win this fight at the weigh ins. If Rampage comes in SHREDDED like he was against Hendo, he is going to win this fight, but if he looks how he did against Forrets (fat boy), he is in big trouble.
by john on Nov 28, 2008 3:14 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
I still think Wand will get in devastating fashion. I don’t think rampage will show up. I mean that’s not the rampage we know in this interview. And i don’t think he’ll have good enough sparring partners in england. brendan – As far as Nog betting lines, I think they will stop somewhere b/t -310 to -295. Am gonna wait until the last day.

Silva by brutal knockout, no doubt. Then Rampage will have to go save his friend Brian from the devil.

forreal dude. sounds like forrest took away rampages cocky mentality which in some cases is good but in rampages its def bad. forrest did more than take the belt he took it all
by phil on Nov 28, 2008 2:42 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
Suitable music…. Seriously Rampage has more excuses than a 2 year old drama queen its starting to get annoying now… Bullshit you never took any supplements because i remember in the all access shows and in your previous fight interviews with ibara you stated you were! And who knows what supplements you took in Pride because you were one of the bigger guys……
I cant wait for wanderlei to shut you up for a third time.
by Colin D on Nov 28, 2008 1:47 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
it doesnt even sound like the same rampage.
by it'sT.O.baby!!! on Nov 28, 2008 1:47 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
yea sounds more like a recovering drug addict interview talking about how much “better I am now”….this is sad to see, I was pulliong for Wanderlei and wanted Rampage to make it a good fight, but Rampage doesnt seem right at all….at least in this interview he doesnt.
I still believe that if Rampage lands a good one on Wanderlei, Wandy will go out cold…but I guess thats obvious since we are talking about probably the top 2 of the hardest hitters in the wieght class.
by Chadx23 on Nov 29, 2008 1:07 AM EST up reply actions 0 recs
rampage is prob my favourite fighter but i have to agree with namenotrequired, he just doesnt seem like his old self, a kind of vacant look and uncertainainty about himself. i really hope im wrong and its just because he is coming off a loss. good luck rampage uve done it before u can do it again!
by squarechoke on Nov 28, 2008 1:51 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
Sorry ‘Page. I’m glad you have Chuck’s number, but Wandy is going to knock you the fuck out….again.
by introvert on Nov 28, 2008 1:53 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
I give Rampage an advantage with raw punching power but if this fight allows wanderlei to press jackson up against the cage in the clinch this fight is over. Both of these men have iron chins, both of these men are both so explosive and powerful it cant go 3 rounds. Man this fight has major implications for the lhw division more so than forrest vs rashad, i think the loser of this should rematch liddell since he seems to be ducking Anderson Silva at this point and the winner should fight anderson Silva.
by Colin D on Nov 28, 2008 2:06 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
Im no Sports Therapist, but it seems like maybe Rampage should take more time off to get his mind set right. He is clearly not the same Rampage. I hope UFC Brass really looks more into whats up with him soe he can make a later come back. I hope and wish for the best for Rampage.

he was never right…great guy or seems to be but was NEVER all there upstairs
by McArthur on Nov 28, 2008 3:14 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
That was the first interview I’ve EVER seen with Rampage where he didn’t at least attempt to make one joke.
Maybe that’s a good thing, who knows.. but, it definitely wasn’t your typical Rampage interview.
by R-Dizzle on Nov 28, 2008 3:15 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
Damn! I really like Quinton, but I don’t think he has his act together yet. It was readily apparent that he didn’t truly believe everything, or anything, he was saying! In fact, I’m not sure if he was paying attention to the interview. After everything he’s been through recently, I don’t think it’s a good idea to put him in the octagon with someone who holds a huge mental edge over him! And as brutal as the first two fights were, if history repeats itself, Quinton will really have some mental problems! Many will disagree, but, I have to say that I wish this fight wasn’t happening……….yet!
by Dana's a Crossdresser on Nov 28, 2008 3:06 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
thats why he gets paid…its professional sports. There is no feeling sorry for someone because they don’t seem like themselves…maybe McNabb shouldn’t have played for the Eagles yesterday because the risk of losing and getting booed or even worse, getting his feelings hurt
by McArthur on Nov 28, 2008 3:27 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
its really hard for me to pick a winner, wanderlei will probably be the favorite, and it seems rampage isnt all there…. but i still have to say its a bad fight for rampage right now after losing the belt, he was already having some issues and to add on some more pschological issues by facing a guy that brutally ko’d you twice is too much for him.
by Toad on Nov 28, 2008 3:15 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
i think rampage is not cracking jokes because he is focused and decided no more bull shit talking and hell settle it in the cage
by liamd on Nov 28, 2008 3:33 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
one thing wanderli could kick and knee on the ground and in pride it was in a ring if rampage got him against the ropes to take him down he could leen his head underneath the ropes but its in a cage and rampage can elbow i him in the ground rampage has much improved striking feetwork headmovment he has to stay out the clinch
by liamd on Nov 28, 2008 3:37 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
that was come cheesy music they used. Terrible.
by Ground-Game on Nov 28, 2008 3:44 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
Rampage seems to have a different attitude on the fight game now. I think he means business.

The day that every other line is not some hilarious joke out of Rampage’s mouth, is the day he is begining to go downhill.
by The Anomaly on Nov 28, 2008 4:00 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
that music sounds kind of like waht the discovery channel would have when making a documentary about a drug addict. Way to be straight forward!
by Don on Nov 28, 2008 4:08 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
lmfao thats what I was thinking the whole time the music reminded me of intervention. but this fight is even to me i dont care who wins as long as its a good knockout, its a good fight and the winner gets the title shot
by Jared on Nov 28, 2008 6:22 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
IF i’m not mistaken the last time Rampage talked shit he lost. So for all you people saying “Oh somethings wrong” I say nothings wrong for the 1st time his head is in the right place. He’s no longer putting his foot in his mouth.
by Tha_pimp_man on Nov 28, 2008 5:36 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
This fight is going to be amazing. Rampage looks to be in another zone that we have not seen before.
by TV-MMA on Nov 28, 2008 5:59 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
Something’s clearly wrong with him! He just had a psychotic episode that made the international news not too long ago! All I’m saying is it’s a bad fight right now! It’s not that he can’t beat Silva. But, if he isn’t at the top of his game, he’ll get destroyed like before! And that would probably knock him out the box for quite a while!
by Dana's a Crossdresser on Nov 28, 2008 6:08 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
i say winner of rampage/wandy3 shud face winner of henderson/franklin for #1 contendership after machida/silva get their title shot becuz 2 wins for ne of these men in this division wud deff. say who shud be knocking on the door for a title shot

I dont kno wat 2 make of dis interview Rampage is my favourite fighter and dis fight is a make or break for his career i think. He didnt tel 1 joke in that whole interview wich cud b due to his new found commitment but i duno he doesnt seem the same….either way Rampage is a lot better of a fighter than Wandy im just afraid he has the mind set that hes already been beat twice by wanderlei but hopefully he will rise to the occassion and we see a new twice born again Rampage enter the octagon…i see Rampage by split decision even tho i cant decisively pick a winner due to wanderleis intense desire of winning but cum the weigh ins i will b able to see if Rampage has been doin hi shomework and if hes ready to get back on the road to his title (did forrest fuck beat him) WAR PAGE BABY!
by Randy for Couture on Nov 28, 2008 7:35 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
Holy Shit, where is the real rapmage at ?? That interview was nothing like himself. No mean snarl or confident attitude at all. They must be brain washing him over in england. Rampage get that Attitude back… Im not a big fan of ya but damn you atleast were entertaining and fun to watch and listen too.
