have you seen any of rashads fights? how about forrests? they are the decision masters… after forrest lost to jardine he lost all killer intinct and plays the points game now… see ramirez and jackson fights, rashad wrestles his way to split decisions and dances around the ring like a circus clown… see the ortiz and bisping fights
by brendan on Nov 27, 2008 1:14 AM EST up reply actions 0 recs
Yeah Forrests decision fights are soo boring. I almost fell asleep when he fought Stephan Bonnar for a contract into the UFC……..wait. The Ortiz and Jackson fights were exiting too. I didn’t see Ramirez. And as far as the killer instinct being lost after jardine, that’s ridiculous. He realized that as he fights top competition, he can’t fight coming forward and swinging. Notice how he finished Shogun with a submission as well. He is becoming well rounded and has tremendous heart.

Yeah, I’m a little bit pumped up for this fight. Don’t watch it if that suits you. As far as I’m concerned, I’m gonna just get wasted watching this…

I actually can’t believe you wrote that- but ur call… This fight ive been excited for since i found out about the line up.. just i don’t like the fact that CB dollaway is in the mix and Yushin Okanmi isn’t- I think forrest can take it he’ll pick rashad apart and the size difference is HUGE.. forrest made rampage look small so imagine what he’ll do to evans- Nogeria by UD, both i think will get gased out by the end of the 3rd round. and Silva by KO.. still Rampage i can see pulling an upset, but its going to be a hell of a card!!

1. Forrest is a gameplan fighter nowadays and nobody is better tactician than greg.
2. Do u think Mir has enough gas to make it out of the first against the guy who has been top 2 HW for nearly a decade and is one of best finishers in MMA?
3. Though, i am more than happy to see another blowout stompage Wand-Rampage is pointless, i would have liked to see rampage-shogun II.

Not to excited about this event. Im not saying that it cant be a great event, its just that I am not oover flowing with anticipation. Only fight I care about is Wandy vs. Rampage. I love Nog but Mir is not a formidable opponent. forrest vs. Rashad will be a good fight but I dont think either really earned the right to fight for a title in the 1st place.,….maybe Rashad has but Forrest did not deserve a fight with Rampage in the 1st place. I do think Forrest vs. Rashad will be an interesting fight
Hopefully has the event gets closer I start getting more excited!

Ur right there! This fight just doesnt feel big, maybe cus in my eyes they are both underdogs when fighting any top 10 fighter, i know forest has beaten arguable the best in shogun but i just cant accept him as champ. Machida would beat either Forest or Rashad. Machida is the best at 205 and he doesnt get the credit he deserves. Cant wait for Machida vs Thiago, got fight of the year writen all over it! I was annoyed they took it off my local card 89!

Agreed fellows. Forrest doesn’t have any special skills that makes him stick out. Sure he has grit but so does Jorge Gurgel. Rashad is proving that he might have great hands but that’s to be seen and it won’t make us easily forget UFC 78 when he gas and prayed on bisping.

and dont forget he lost to tito, not a draw in my book
by brendan on Nov 27, 2008 4:05 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
really…you think it’ll be a snooze-fest???? i dunno, i think it’ll be a decent scrap. rashaad will be the agressor(obviously) and it should be a war. forrest puts on a good show IMO. he’ll be ready.
by allamerican on Nov 27, 2008 8:46 AM EST up reply actions 0 recs
i think it has the possibility to be a snooze fest… even if it is i will be hooked with my eyes glued to the tv just because i want to find out who wins on the night + anything can happen so dont blink

i’m pumped up for this fight.. can’t wait for forrest to hand rashad his 1st loss..if forrest wins i’m guessing UD but if someone gets KO’ed it’s evans for sure..forrest just doesn’t have that KO power..he has combinations but just not enough power behind them.. oh and Wandy by massacre! >:)

u have got to be kidding me -- i hate RASHAD HATE HIM But ther eis NOOOOOO way hes losing this fight name on game Forrset is better at Dare You. This comming from a guy that forrest is his second fav fighter. 1 St being 2 years ago Chuck

I think Rashad is gonna come out a winner in this one .. the doesn’t get immitated.

Ya I’m gonna have to go with Rashad too, I think we’re gonna see a GnP finish
by Reether on Nov 27, 2008 12:09 AM EST up reply actions 0 recs
Nah, Forrest will take this one and successfully defended that thing until either Lyoto or Thiago Silva take it from him…I would be happy too though if Rashad wins and gets his ass kicked by the 2 title contenders mentioned above.
by Syd[a.k.a. "The Negation"] on Nov 27, 2008 9:21 AM EST up reply actions 0 recs
I have all the same feelings I had when Forrest took on Rampage … scared for him that he will get KTFO. But after watching the fight progress you can see Forrest increase with confidence.
Rashad is going to have to finish him early otherwise expect to see Forrest run over the top of Rashad and win via decision or submission.
Personally, I can not stand Rashad as a personality of the sport, however, I can not take anything away with the fact that he is undefeated.
Forrest: Submission Rd 3

What correction mate, spiking is when your stomach is touching the stomach ,,, one thing you need to learn about the law/fouls in this case is a keyword called interpretation ….
YourWelcome for the correction.
I am glad you went to the effort though, means my commentary is working :)
by DownUnder on Nov 27, 2008 1:45 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
Sorry mate, but you are wrong.. It is still a foul to intentionally drop someone directly on his head or neck in a spiking fasion…Nate did just that..
And yes, your commentary is working..That is why I helped educate you…Because I read your post. :)

I still don’t get how rashad ko’s chuck but gets a draw with tito and a split with bisping? f**ked up. Talk about inconsistent.
by nathan on Nov 27, 2008 12:15 AM EST reply actions 0 recs
It’s simple, Bisbing has good defense, Tito got in his head. And that overhand right on Chuck was beautiful. I am no big fan of the guy, but he is improving and is definately a threat here.
by MongoMan on Nov 27, 2008 2:21 AM EST up reply actions 0 recs
ye he has improved alot since the ortiz fight he would defo win that fight now.
bisping never seems to get beat up and chuck has a glass chin.
rashad by tko/decision cant decide
by ufcaddict on Nov 27, 2008 10:04 AM EST up reply actions 0 recs
are you kidding me.. Chuck has a glass chin?? did you watch the Wanderlei fight or when Keith buckled him but still managed to get up? or maybe your just another hater? Chuck shows time and time again that he has an incredible chin it’s just his carelessness that he gets caught because of his wide brawling style punches.
by daftmania on Nov 27, 2008 11:24 AM EST up reply actions 0 recs
Chucks chin isn’t bad, he just has Tank Abbot style stand up and always keeps his hands down.
He needs a new camp and a different striking trainer.

Personally I don’t like rashad or forrest gump, they both don’t deserve the title to me, I would like anderson silva to go up and kick the shit out of who ever has the title, then they would have a legit champ.
by nathan on Nov 27, 2008 12:19 AM EST reply actions 0 recs
why doesnt he deserve the title? he beat one of the best LHW’s in the world with Shogun.. and then beat the current champ with Rampage. What else is he spose to do to be champ?
by josh on Nov 27, 2008 12:33 AM EST up reply actions 0 recs
Sup Nathan! Been a while since I’ve posted. I’m an Evans fan and have been since TUF but I’ve gotta agree with Nathan on the Forrest thing. Barely squeeking by Ramirez, getting KO’d by Jardine and beating Shogun (very impressive) do not add up to a shot at the title. Especially when there were several others on 2+ win streaks that were more deserving at the time. That shot at Rampage’s belt was all about the money, plain and simple.
by Machine on Nov 27, 2008 2:48 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
i think machida is more deserving than both of these guys and i definitely think hed murder either one of them
by brendan on Nov 27, 2008 12:39 AM EST up reply actions 0 recs
Machida would murder them all right, he’d sit on them for 5 rounds! That would teach them!! (The previous statement may have contained trace amounts of sarcasm and was manufactured near nuts)
by MattCat on Nov 27, 2008 4:14 AM EST up reply actions 0 recs
Yeah, he’d murder them all right! He’d lay on them for 5 rounds, that would teach them!! (the previous statement may have contained trace amounts of sarcasm and was manufactured in close proximity to nuts)
by MattCat on Nov 27, 2008 7:44 AM EST up reply actions 0 recs
brendan: ARE YOU SERIOUS!!!??? machida would just backpedal the whole frigan fight. LIKE ALWAYS. the only way he would win, is if forrest or rashad made a really DUMB mistake. i would hardly call him a “finisher”. he’s good but, hes definatly a candidate for the most boring fighter on the planet as well. i dont think machida will make it past tiago silva when they fight. i guess we’ll just have to wait and see though. my guess, if he does win his next fight, he’ll be in line for a title shot.
by allamerican on Nov 27, 2008 9:33 AM EST up reply actions 0 recs
Get off Machida’s prancing elusive nuts bro!
by halljam2 on Nov 27, 2008 10:54 AM EST up reply actions 0 recs
Are you kidding me? You dont think he deserves the belt? He won it fair and square. He took it to Rampage AND took his belt. How could someone clearly take the belt from someone and not deserve it? If you beat a champ at anything… would you not deserve the belt?
by enzo-enormous on Nov 27, 2008 12:41 AM EST up reply actions 0 recs
i dont think he deserved a title shot in the first place, let alone the title
by brendan on Nov 27, 2008 12:44 AM EST up reply actions 0 recs
Feel how you want to about it. He beat the #1 ranked LHW in the world to get a title shot. Then beat the champ to get the belt. And Machida’s biggest win in the UFC is against Tito. I want to see how he does against Thiago, and at least one other contender. I like Machida, but this idea that he can beat anybody is a little premature.

by allamerican on Nov 27, 2008 9:38 AM EST up reply actions 0 recs
i wouldnt say he beat the champ thats an overstatement
he scraped past him with a bit of luck would be correct
by ufcaddict on Nov 27, 2008 10:14 AM EST up reply actions 0 recs
He beat him…that fight was not even close to questionable to me. GSP Penn 1 was more questionable than that fight.
by halljam2 on Nov 27, 2008 10:56 AM EST up reply actions 0 recs
it doesnt matter whether they deserve it or not. GET OVER IT because its happening any ways. why keep whining about it?

Rashad will prove that is striking is for real.
Only if he touch is nipples before the fight.
by Daddy Lupo on Nov 27, 2008 12:58 AM EST reply actions 0 recs
Whoever wins the LHW title fight, Rashad or Forrest is just going to get beat down by the winner of Rampage/Wand.
by natedogg77 on Nov 27, 2008 1:39 AM EST reply actions 0 recs
Why would you say that? Forrest already beat Rampage don’t you remember I mean it wasn’t that long ago.
by Robert on Nov 27, 2008 1:48 AM EST up reply actions 0 recs
That and Wand is 3-4 in his last 7 fights.
by MongoMan on Nov 27, 2008 2:32 AM EST up reply actions 0 recs
Robert just because Forrest won the decision that was extremely controversial doesn’t mean that Rampage wouldn’t have a good chance to take him out if there’s a rematch.. I’m not saying he would but he definitely could and that seems to be what nate D.O double G thinks..
by RoB on Nov 27, 2008 7:35 AM EST up reply actions 0 recs
extremely controversial? ha
he won 4 of 5 rounds in on two of the judges cards if i remember?!?!
regardless,it was not controersial. watch it with an un-biased opinion and and then tell me forrest didnt win!!
by xwolfmanxx on Nov 27, 2008 8:51 AM EST up reply actions 0 recs
wolfman you go watch the fight again without an un-biased opinion.. just because the judges scored it in a certain way does not make the fight any different.. I just think that Rampage should have looked a little more interested because he was fighting good and winning 3 rounds imo and the first round scored to Forrest after a knockdown was just hilarious, but Forrest looked more interested and confident during the fight and after the fight and that had an impact on the judges..
by RoB on Nov 27, 2008 10:59 AM EST up reply actions 0 recs
dude, i have watched that fight too many times, so an opinion on either fighter doesnt matter. i just think forrest had a better game plan and he executed better. rampage didnt even look like he was mentally there!
i’m not saying a second fight would be the same, but i’m giving forrest the respect he deserves for beating rampage, and shogun(yeah he had a knee injury, but forrest also had a shoulder injury during that fight)
regardless, he is the champ. and i have money on him beating rashad. and rampage beating silva, and noguiera beating mir.
by xwolfmanxx on Nov 27, 2008 4:30 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
ok, i’ve also watched that fight too many times and we don’t score it the same.. but i agree 100% that Rampage wasn’t mentally there, he didn’t have the same desire to win like Forrest did and it showed that is why he lost the fight..
by RoB on Nov 27, 2008 11:11 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
HE DINT BEAT RAMPAGE SO LETS GET THE RECORD STRAIGHT AND TWO RASHAD WILL KO FORREST MARK MY WORDS YOU LIKE IT OR NOT AND REVENGE IS SWEET SO HUGE KO POWER + STRONG AS HELL I GOT RAMPAGE IN THIS ONE AND PLEASE DON’T BS TALKING BUT WANDI PAST HIS PRIME LONG TIME AGO = JARDINE DON’T COUNT IN UFC LIST AND IF HE DID HE JUST DESTROY FORREST…

Forrest has one of the best jabs in the UFC and he’s got very good movement. you get a long way with good boxing and good movement, the Liddell brawling style is getting old.
by RoB on Nov 27, 2008 7:37 AM EST reply actions 0 recs
liddell actually has some of the best foot movement and counter punching around. what he lacks is head movement.

Excellent card. Cannot wait! I think Rashad’s gonna walk away with the belt after this fight. What Forrest pointed out is exactly what will frustrate him. Rashad’s ability to cover distance in the blink of an eye, fire off power shots, then elude return fire. Won’t be surprised to see Forrest get KO’d.
It’ll also be cool to see Forrest’s game plan. Couture’s gym is a great place to put together a killer plan. Be interesting what they come up with to nullify Greg Jackson’s planning.
by MMACrossifre on Nov 27, 2008 9:58 AM EST reply actions 0 recs
The only chance Evan has in this fight is to ko or sub Forrest.we all know Forrest use to be the police and will rob a black man out of the title win with ease, just ask Quinton.Forrest is a decision whore!
by knee to the nads on Nov 27, 2008 10:25 AM EST reply actions 0 recs
KO or sub Forrest? Well those are two of three ways to possibly win lol. Rashad hasn’t subbed anyone in his pro career. Rashad will be able to get inside on Forrest and take him down. He is more of a setup wrestler where Tito pretty much dives without setup which is much easier to defend.

my friend is a rashad fan so i’ll have to be pulling for forrest just to bust his balls. i have no preference other than that. nog might have a harder time than most think with murrrr. i hope that one is a chess match on the ground. i don’t think wandy is nearly as good as he used to be back in the pride days and rampage is questionable but seems pretty focused. that should be a battle too. why the fuck is cb dalloway on the main card and okami lidster is on the undercard?
