I refuse to ever listen to a tito interview again. If there was a written transcript I would probably read it. But I just cant take hearing all his bitch ass excuses coming out of that winy voice of his!

Tito you F’in has been! U r about as relevant to mma as scumbag Dustin Diamond is relevant to HOllywood!

Do us all a favor and just GO AWAY!!!!!!!

So basically Tito is saying that every time he lost a fight his back was so bad he shouldn’t have taken the fight. I never hear Jenna complain about her back, and she has taken more poundings than everyone in the UFC put together.

GREAT NEWS MANIACS!!!!!\

Jake Sheilds has officially become a FREE Agent TOday. Expect to see him sign with the UFC by next WEEK!!!!

THere was a big poll going around the net a few days back about which UFC fighter would make a good opponent for sheilds’s 1st UFC fight….. Fans Voted for Diego Sanchez. Later Sheilds was interviewed and he said that it would be a great first UFC fight for him and he would jump at the chance to make his octagon debut against Diego!

I put a link to that interview a couple days ago john, Shields came of a lot better than calling out GSP
As far as tito goes, I’ve said since before the Machida fight, he’ll be back in the ufc!!!

unfortunately you are probably right.

Tito is a bitch, and the UFC is the only organization which he can hide from Babalu. Babalu is out to get him, and I dont think Tito wants anything to do with him

by McArthur on Nov 21, 2008 8:40 AM EST up reply actions   0 recs

wow this guy really gets to me sometimes. He’s pretty much saying that all of his losses and mediocre performances in the last 5 years were due to his back problems. No respect. Now hes already planning his next excuse.

“I lost those fight because I came back too soon from my back surgery. I came back sooner for the fans.”

I agree with the statement that he hasnt won a big fight in years. He was handed a win over Forrest. He beat up old man Shamrock a few times. Lyoto completely outsmarted and frustrated him. No way he can deal with the current 205ers. Rampage, Wandy, Forrest now, Franklin, Hendo, Rua, Thiago and even Jardine and Boetsch would take him easy.

by Psyqo78®™ on Nov 21, 2008 2:55 AM EST up reply actions   0 recs

no it’s impossible, no one can knock Tito out.. the coach he is, is the person he is so i don’t get it? don’t be fooled by his gamesmanship he’s doing for the media and because it’s part of the game.. you see, tell me someone of the fighters in the UFC that is as good at getting publicity and reaching out to people as Tito is.. he would still win over many lhw’s in the UFC it’s ridiculous to say he wouldn’t or couldn’t when he’s beat the champ and the no.1 contender

Why would he rush an sign a contract now when he said he won’t be ready to compete until July? If Tito does go to Affliction it will be because of his dislike for Dana White no other reason.Dana White talks shit because Dana wishes that he could kick ass and Tito can so Dana fights back taking cheap shots in the media.I think people are slowly starting to see through Dana’s bullshit though.

by Robert on Nov 21, 2008 2:30 AM EST reply actions   0 recs

he makes a good point though he WON the forrest fight with that last second takedown and he was beating rashad except for the point deduction you cant take those 2 wins from the guy..

i dont like him either but he was one of the best at one point and should get a legitament shot at returning and fight jardine or vera or james irvin who hes actually scared of

What a freaking MORON!! You hear that Tito, you are a freaking MORON!! The reason people disrespect you, is because of YOU, stop blaming everyone and take some responsibility. Do you not watch the interviews you do? It seems like if you did you would say, ‘Huh, man I sound like a total jack-A, no wonder people don’t like me.’, and change some things. With a head that big, you would think you would have some brains up there.

by TheDarkOne on Nov 21, 2008 2:45 AM EST reply actions   0 recs

If Tito signs with Affliction it will be because of his dislike for Dana not the UFC.Dana wishes he could kick ass and Tito can that’s why Dana Fights back taking cheap shots in the media like the class act he is.Anyone who says Tito is washed up is just saying that because they don’t like his personality their not being truthful.Tito beat Forrest,Belfort, and Cote in the past 5 years and had a draw with Rashad Evans only because he had a point deducted. scott why would Tito sign a contract now when he said he won’t be ready to compete till July?

by Robert on Nov 21, 2008 2:51 AM EST reply actions   0 recs

Tito is washed up and I actually do respect his past and what he has done for mma, but he needs to get off of his high horse. I acts as though MMA would not bee MMA if it was not for him. My most memorable Tito moment, Randy Couture in Top Control spanking his no contending ass.

Then you make the defense that he had a draw with Evans because he lost the point. If he was that damn good he would be winning these fights. With that in mind he won the Forrest fight and Cote fight just because he was Tito and got the benefit of the doubt. He lost both those fights in my mind and beating Cote, in his UFC debute should not have been that big of an accomplishment. Cote was a nobody fighting Tito Ortiz. Cote was supposed to be a wrung on the ladder for Tito’s rise to contention again and he barely won that fight. Tito is not washed up the last time he finished a real opponent was back in 2001, Elvis Sinosic. Other then the he has only beaten The Worlds Most Dangerous Loser in Shamrock, who I think, is on a current MMA record losing streak, guy has only won 3 fights out of his last 11 and has not had a winning record, two or more wins in a row since 1996. In the last 5 years, 3 Shamrock wins not included, the He has only 1 unanimous decision, 2 splits, and a draw. That is not the record of greatness, that is a sign of mediocrity at its best. Tito is so geneticly superior that he believes that medicority translates to greatness! Is this guy for real? Holy Crap, how the hell does this guy even stand up after laying down as large as his head is and with all the bullshit he fills it with? I would think he is would have to custom build his home and personals just to get his greatness filled head into anything.

It truly is amazing that no matter how this guy loses, after being literally spanked by Couture, unable to take a unanimous decision, and his inabilty to finish any fighters that are even somewhat deservant of being called b level fighters, he can still think he is Gods Gift to MMA. Confidence is one thing, what Tito is smoking is on a whole different level.

Why does Tito act like he’s the only guy who’s been doing this sport for 11 years?? That’s always what he brings up….“oh i’ve given 11 years of my life to this sport and it’s time they give me some respect”. Hey dumbass there are guys out there who have been doing this sport as long if not longer than you and all you can say is how you deserve to be the highest paid fighter out there, your’e wrong. That’s not how it is, take a look at any other sport….just because youv’e dedicated your life to the sport and given it all youv’e got doesn’t mean you deserve more than the newer guys who have more skills and are better than you. Take basketball for example, Lebron is the highest paid guy out there and he hasn’t done crap but he has more skill than any guy who has 11 years in the NBA and has done this their whole life. Get with it Tito, it’s a bussiness and your’e not that great anymore, quit thinking your’e more than your’e worth.

Guys, shut up and stop being mean to Tito! He is the greatest fighter on earth, not to mention his chisled good looks. You haters neglect to mention all the amazing victories he’s had in the past 5 years by skillfully laying in full guard for three earth shattering rounds and earning mind-blowing split descision victories!

Is it so wrong that I want him to lay in my full guard for fifteen minutes so that I can feel his hardness atop me?

by Robert on Nov 21, 2008 6:23 AM EST reply actions   0 recs

There are apparently 2 Robert’s posting who are fans of Tito but this one seems to have some deeper issues to sort out other than idiots who think they no shit about MMA, like who carried it for years when Zuffa first purchased it,and it wasn’t followed by a bunch of dumb asses who think their cool ’cause they watch it now.

by Robert on Nov 25, 2008 5:19 PM EST up reply actions   0 recs

Tito the man!! best businessman of all fighters in MMA by far and that is why Dana had to close the window, he’s no puppy like Charles Liddell.. and for anyone to critizize Tito go ahead Nobody owns Tito Ortiz, the fact is that he wanted to become bigger than just being the “UFC guy” in every sentence, and they can’t let that happen because if the fighters becomes bigger than their compnay they’re screwed, they always need to keep the fighters small so they can make their money of ppl just following the UFC for the name UFC itself.. I would personally settle the deal with anyone who believes Dana’s BS over Tito’s cause that is just unreal.. We all know now how Dana acts and the shadow that he’s put on Tito’s career is just unreal, I bet to you that Dana was laughing his ass of all the way to the bank everytime Tito fought and when he was on the Ultimate Fighter, than Tito started to take over to much and he didn’t get the space he needed to have 100% control over all the other fighters that won’t open their mouth about anything that has to do with business/money!

So apparently the back has been his main concern the last 5 years but i though i remembered him saying his problems were gone before the machida fight so dug out and old interview. Here are some quotes before the machida fight…doesnt seem like the back was an issue really…:

“I’m really healthy. I feel great. I feel really, really good,” said Ortiz.

“I started camp four months prior to the fight. That’s the first time I’ve started this early,” Ortiz told MMAWeekly.com. I was really focused on getting my core strength very, very strong. My back is really strong. My stomach is really strong. You’ll see at the weigh-ins how shredded I am. I’m in great shape."

“It just feels great to be able to train for once and be able to wrestle the way I used to wrestle, spar the way I used to spar, and not have to go through three days of training and have to take four days off,” added Ortiz. “That was really, really bad. It was hindering my fighting style, I believe. I’m very focused, no injuries, and I’m able to focus my time on training.”

by Martin on Nov 21, 2008 9:22 AM EST reply actions   0 recs

No surprises there, he’s always bsing about one thing or another. Tito has a bachelors degree in BSing ppl. If he ever does have a kid his bed time stories will sound like this:
“Well son, you see, this is how you bullshit people…”

By July of ’09 when he comes back, coming off a loss and a long ass lay off, will ppl really be all that interested?

It is kind of funny that he beat Griffin and Rashad though (yes I consider the Rashad fight a victory for Tito….he whooped his ass) , and Dana says he hasn’t beaten anyone worth noting in 5 years……too funny actually.

It’s because Dana can get away with LYING because the media that questions him doesn’t ask him tough questions for fear of having their credentials taken away.So Dana can spew his bullshit and gullible fans who think Dana’s cool believe his nonsense. The guy couldn’t have a bigger line of shit.

by Robert on Nov 26, 2008 4:58 PM EST up reply actions   0 recs

What I would like to see is Ortiz sign with Affliction, and give Belfort that rematch that he so badly wants. Although I’m not sure if Belfort wants to gain the 20 lbs. to jump back to 205. Belfort called him out (roughly a year ago) when he was talking to Joe Silva about a possible return to the UFC, but there was not any (public) news on how that meeting went or what was said. That’s a rematch that could possibly co-headline on an Affliction card in the future.

I love Tito Ortiz! He should quit the interviews though and just get back in the game. I’d love to see him fight in the Octagon. I don’t think he could ever be champ again, but there is no reason why he shouldn’t get at least one last 3-6 fight contract. He’s a big draw and he does hold a win over Forest Griffin and a draw over the number one contender in Rashad Evans.

If he’s healthy and really commits himself to the sport, I see him getting the last laugh. He’s had a hell of a career and deserves a spot in the UFC Hall of Fame. If Dana and he would just play nice, the sport would be better for it.

by David on Nov 21, 2008 5:50 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

Tito haters shut the f# up! If you hate him so much why watch the interview and waste your time writing comments. He obviously can be a major playa in the lhw division or none of you would even be watching or reading this!!!!!
However Tito does need to stop making excuses and stop living in the past, I still believe he can have a good future maybe back in the top 5 lhw but he wont be a champ again.
