We really need to stop looking so far ahead at events…bby the time the actual event rolls around, I am already sick of talking about it. For example, we are already talking about the BJ vs. GSP fight….I think its a lil early for that!

I don’t think he will win, but I think he can win! He’s a seasoned veteran, and the rua brothers haven’t been all that consistent as of late.

i’ve actually been saying that coleman could definatly win. i know he’s a little one dimentional, but he is seasoned. if shogun fights like he did against forrest, he might lose. and yeah, i would like to see randy fight someone like shogun. i think randy’s heavyweight days are over…he’s better off trying his luck with the smaller guys, MAYBE…he can win a few more…..

Randys heavyweight days are over? Why? Because he lost once? He had been out for a year and was in a fight that was a bad match up for him. He was taken down by the big strong wrestler and able to stand it up twice. He has great stand up, he just hadn’t anticipated the reach of Brock. Randy still has the skills to come up in the heavyweight division and maybe even rematch Brock in the future. I think Randy could win in a second fight personally. Regardless, Randy has been using speed to his advantage in the heavyweight division. The heavyweights are slower than the 205ers. Randy beat 2 out of 3 of the biggest heavyweights in the UFC.(Sylvia is out and yes I understand that there are bigger heavyweights, but gonzaga sylvia and brock are massive heavyweights) I think he is doing pretty good.

wear is not the same as “where” roy. what kinda bone are you talking about..lol. Hey, I just wanna go to an event, but can’t afford to just buy tickets, hotel and plane fare right now. My wife is going crazy with christmas shopping, and I refuse to dip unto savings for this! I budget my monthly expenses, and vacation isn’t in the cards right now! My wife and son want to go to hawaii in 2009, thats a 10k trip easy, so I’m already saving for a vacation!

Sure, Franklin’s only losses are to Anderson Silva and Machida. That is because he was fighting NOBODIES!
Meanwhile, Hendo was fighter over in Japan where the REAL competition was at the time. Also, in PRIDE, a HW could fight a WW, that would NEVER be allowed in the states.

Franklin’s record looks just like aisle 4 at Stop and Shop = a whole bunch of cans. The levels of competition are not even comparable. Rich would never of even thought about accepting a fighta against a HW legend.
You can’t just count each fighter’s losses and whomever has less should be the favorite. And the reason why the names of the fighters that Rich has lost to are so recognizable is because other than Evan Tanner, THOSE ARE THE ONLY ELITE FIGHTERS HE HAS FACED!!!!!!!

This could be the worst UFC card ever. I love all these fights except for Coleman, but I’m not excited to see Franklin vs. Henderson as the main event. This to me is not a main event. I would prefer to see Hendo at 185, but I guess he’s not getting Anderson anytime soon. They need another fight here, perhaps Anderson Silva vs. Chuck Liddell.

The UFC is so bad ass that a great match up like this (Henderson and Franklin) seems like a weak main event. In fact, with the amazing December card and the biggest fight ever coming up in January, I’ll probably pass on this altogether. But that’s a testament to how far this organization has come. If they keep putting together such great fights, the sky is the limit for the UFC.
