Quoteworthy:

"Bobby called me out and I gladly accepted the challenge. On Friday, the world will learn what Bobby already knows – that this was the biggest mistake of his career. I'm going to be looking for the knockout. If I have to break my hand on his face, I will."

Brazilian Renato "Babalu" Sobral is feeling pretty confident about his chances this Friday night against Strikeforce Light Heavyweight Champion Bobby Southworth. The two were originally scheduled to face off for Southworth's 205-pound gold back in September at the "Strikeforce at the Mansion II" event, but both athletes had to withdraw with injuries. The bout now takes over main event status for this Friday's "Destruction" card because of another injury to Strikeforce Lightweight Champion Josh "The Punk" Thomson, which caused him to pull out of his scheduled title defense against Yves Edwards. This will be "Babalu's" first fight under the Strikeforce banner. And for Southworth this will be his second title defense since winning the strap from Vernon White almost two years ago.
