UFC 95 tickets on sale soon for O2 Arena in London Feb. 21

The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) today announced its fourth event of 2009 and the second in as many months to be held in the United Kingom.
UFC 95 will take place from the O2 Arena on February 21 -- just two weeks after UFC Fight Night 17 on February 7, three after UFC 94: "St. Pierre vs. Penn 2" and little two weeks before UFC 96 in Columbus, Ohio, on March 7.
Talk about starting the New Year off with a bang.
Even though a main event is unknown at this time, as well potential match ups for the card, the promotion is moving ahead with ticket sales for the event. If the rapid sellout of UFC 93 in Dublin, Ireland, is any indication of how fans oversease gobble up seats then this could be another quick one.
Here is the UFC 93 tickets sales schedule (all times are local):
UFC Fight Club presale: Monday, November 17 at 9 a.m.
UFC Newsletter presale: Sunday, November 19 at 9 a.m.
General tickets sale: Tuesday, November 21 at 9 a.m.
UFC 95 tickets can be purchased through StubHub.com (Note: StubHub often has seats available even if the event is "sold out"). This will be the third event for the promotion at the O2 Arena, returning every 10 events since UFC 75: "Champion vs. Champion" in September 2007.
Perhaps former light heavyweight champion Chuck Liddell -- who has forced off the UFC 85: "Bedlam" card at the O2 Arena earlier this year because of injury -- will be the headliner to make up for the last time around.
Time will tell.

some fights i’d like to see:
randy vs a.silva (205 of course)
bisping vs maia
gonzaga vs velasquez
or
velasques vs carwin
fitch vs alves rematch

Couture/Silva in England?? Right…
Alves is getting a title shot, why would he want to fight Fitch again?
I would think that they’d be taping TUF9 or wrapping up production, so Bisping won’t be on the card.
Any of the HW matchups you mentioned would be nice. Definitely not main event material, though.. considering Carwin and Velasquez have been buried on every card they’ve been on up to this point.

Are you saying we may actually see a card in England that DOESN’T have Bisping on it. That is almost crazy. Maybe Bisping will even have to fight a tough opponent, in America no less. haha

alves stated that he doesn’t want to wait around for a title shot and wants to stay busy so that is possible but these are just match ups that i want to see

Bisping Vs. Maia for a title shot

Carwin Vs. Gonzaga for a title shot

Woah on sale tomorrow! Will be buying my tickets first thing but hoping its not Chuck headlining (unless it was randy v chuck 2) Love to see him fight on the card but not the main event. Silva Okami could be a good call and can’t see Bisping not fighting unless hes tied up with TUF.
If Serra Hughes hasn’t been given a card yet would be a solid fight to see too.

It would actually be Randy vs. Chuck 4, and i don’t see that ever happening.

- bisping vs. okami
- silva vs. liddell at 205
- couture vs. loser of griffin/evans at 205
- diaz vs. griffin
- hazelett vs. karo

i call bullshit. no way randy would fight forrest.
by synyster on Nov 16, 2008 7:42 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
so you think evans is going to win the title….interesting
by bradpittfightclub on Nov 16, 2008 8:21 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
No.
There’s no way Forrest OR Rashad would be defending their title less than 2 months after their fight in December. Not only that, a fight with either of them against Couture would be wayyyy too big for an England card. Or for a card that has little time to be built up.
You’re idea just defies all logic. That’s all.

hopefully they give the London crowd a good card, cause lets face it the u.k hasn’t been getting the most spectacular fights. Hopefully this one can make up for bisping vs. leben.

yes! this is what I like to see out of the UFC. I’ve been saying it now for some time, they should have events every 3 weeks! They have so much talent that they really have to to keep their fighters busy.
Bisping vs. Maia?! How about Leites vs. Maia. That’s a way better fight.
Gonzaga vs. Velazquez
by Anthony on Nov 16, 2008 5:26 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
Does Maia really like pain that much that he would step into the octagon with Michael The Count Bisping?
by Tony on Nov 16, 2008 5:42 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
Bisping is still the most overated fighter in the ufc, thats why he fights chumps, He wont fight silva and hes in line for a shot, what a fucking cunt. Maia would annhilate Bisping!
If bisping want respect he needs to step up and fight some top fighters and not in the uk where they hand him fights, im talking Bisping vs Marquart in Vegas. Would never happen bisping is to much of a punk.

So Mr White ….
Ive been to the previous o2 events , very good.
Why would the UFC expect me to part with my cash when -
1 No Main event or Co main event released ?
2 Only one lower tier fight confirmed
3 See above in the lead upto Christmas
4 Credit Crunch, Im only parting with my dosh when I know what going on
Love the UFC an most things they do , but do they really expect this show to sell , with these issues outstanding ?

i hope they some fights signed early I hate waiting around for ages to find out whos gony be on the cards, I know fights have to be concluded sometimes to assess which other fights need to happen, but surely it could be done quicker??!! If liddell is going to be on it they could announce that one atleast!!
