“I’m the grim reaper motherF’ers”
Its almost to the point where someone should compile all of Dana’s closing blog statements and have them all play after one another.

I can never get sick of these. Why doesn’t spike pick up a Dana all access hour show every week! I love the quote every ppv about you and your buddies chipping in…I wish! I don’t even have 8 buddies, nor would I want any of them to come over and watch T.V. with me! I can’t believe he was driving himself today! Was that 2 blogs for the 12th???

No doubt Kevin. Alone, or with my wife and my flatscreen.
by Jrandolph on Nov 14, 2008 6:15 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
i have a few buddies come over if they can afford to pitch in. makes teh cable bill not quite so shocking that way. besides its way more fun to be sitting in front of my 52" with my buddies drinking beer and making fun of each other when your pick loses the fight.

my wife’s cousin comes over evry once in a while (wwe fan/boxer) he thinks he’’s tough and talks too much, but makes no sense! He tried calling my wife’s cell, but we changed plans and gave no one the #, so I got an email from his sister…I ignored it, I know I’ll be pumped, don’t want to be bothered! actually hoping the wife falls asleep, so I’m taking her christmas shopping tomorrow to wear her out too!

Man, I try to, but he is in fine form today. I’m just trying to bring some sunshine into his life.

Gotta be the most down to earth guy who drives a Ferrari. That tombstone was one of the FUNNIEST things I have EVER seen. I almost coughed my coffee out of my nose laughing! Someone made a suggestion that these blogs would make a good t.v. show. No. It would make a GREAT t.v. show! I’d tune in every week. Keep ’em coming Dana!

I look forward to these video blogs more than the TUF show.
by DirtyML on Nov 14, 2008 1:05 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
my only gripe with dana. he’s too redundant with the 91 hype building. lesnar is a huge guy who’s fast as a 155er and coture is a master at coming up with game plans to expose holes in the game of his opponents. god it hurts to even type it!
by jonsey on Nov 14, 2008 1:20 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
Hey he’s gotta get public excited, not everyone is as informed as us.
by MikeD on Nov 14, 2008 1:33 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
lol…no shit.
And if I hear Randy say “he poses some interesting problems” one more time, I think I’ll vomit.

You guys are watching way too many blogs and video’s then.

Get over it jonsey, that is a silly thing to be worried about. He’s doing his job.
by Zeke on Nov 14, 2008 1:38 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
It is redundant and it annoys me to no end. That said, MikeD is right, it is not meant for those of us on mmamania. Dana knows we are going to watch the fight regardless of what he tells ESPN or any other news outlet.
by Jeff on Nov 14, 2008 1:39 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
But imagine how many dozens of interviews Dana has to do. He’s giving the same answers b/c the reporters are all asking the exact same questions.
by chefdaddy on Nov 14, 2008 3:39 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
I agree, but I think he always drives a certain point as much as possible. He has to assume that the average guy watching espn, or reading a magazine, won’t see it again. It’s no different than a political ad. Keeping saying it until everyone repeats it at least once.
by Jrandolph on Nov 14, 2008 6:20 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
btw…Randy does look old now….

Ha ha I bet T-Shirt dude is in a jealous fit of rage right now. Affliction is gonna go down the pan quick as sh*t.
I think on saturday if Randy can avoid the takedown somehow he will win the fight,I think it will either be 5 rounds of Randy stuffing takedowns and using footwork to out box and frustrate Lesnar, or its gonna be a quick brutal destruction of 45 year old Randy Couture. I really dont know whats gonna happen though and am 50 50 on it. If I were to bet I would bet for RC to win just coz theres a better return from that.

How can you not like the guy? I’d rather have a president who tells it like it is instead of a damn suit.

If I was a fighter from IFL, Affliction, Elite and saw that blog I would think Dana would be a total jerk.
Seriously grow up Dana, your blogs are great (I even agree with the others to say they are much more entertaining, we get to see more than watching so called fighters drink each other’s urine and jerk into other peoples food, I dont watch TUF to see that crap but I seriously believe its time they call it a day for TUF or change it around) but be a bigger man and not even mention the organisations. You know seems to me that they give (gave) him a lot trouble that he mentions them so much. Just move on.
It was the fighters who lost their jobs, who have to look elsewhere. You think Lappen & Co are out of pocket, no way. It is the fighters that are suffering.
1st Round – Clinch work by both men
2nd Round – Much the same as the first, each equaling each other out, but RD 3, Coture take Brock down (Broke suffering on Cardio) and rain some elbows down, and some GNP, referee stoppage, Coture hand raised :D, well i hope anyways :)

Those other organizations are the ones mentioning the UFC saying that they are gonna take down the UFC, so now that they fail, Dana can’t mention them? Whatever Roy, deal with it!

If you challenge the king, and fail, you should be treated like the peasant you are. IFL, Affliction, and Elite XC are a joke. They put on some good fights, and have some talented fighters, but it was the company that wouldn’t market them well, made bone head decisions and continually dropped the ball with the production value of the fights.
I feel bad for the fighters, but there are great grass roots companies out there, like Strikeforce, that the UFC feels are necessary for the sport, and I feel are a great place for the mid-card guys who were left in the dust of these companies folding. The UFC is like the NFL, NBA, and MLB of their sport.
If you challenge the leader, you get burned.

Fucking classic! If you don’t like Dana you’re playing for the wrong team. That guy is great. Hope these blogs continue. I went to UFC 77 and Dana actually took a picture with the guys I was with and shot the shit with us for a second. Probably didn’t hurt that we had some chicks with us, but he really is a cool mother effer.

Dude – Dana is the real deal…at UFC83 in Montreal the guy took pictures with all the fans that wanted to get their mug in w/ the big boss of UFC after the fights. He knows who pays the bills over there and he definitely takes care of the fans.
